Member of 2007 Louisville Slugger High School All-American team....also a First-Team All-Colorado and All-Class 5A selection by the Denver Post after hitting .516 (32-for-62) with two home runs and 20 RBI while playing in all 21 games as a senior at Grandview High School....hit .625 (15-for-24) with runners in scoring position in 2007....ended campaign with a 13-game hitting streak....caught 128 of 132 innings for his team during the season....selected to play in Colorado Rockies Senior Top 50 Game 6/3/2007 at Coors Field....also hit .493 with seven home runs and 30 RBI while posting a .590 on-base percentage as a junior in 2006....three-year captain at Grandview, where he has also lettered in basketball....Four-year letter-winner under head coach Dean Adams and four-year Principal's Honor Roll student.
2008: Scheduled to play for Wareham Gatemen of Cape Cod League during summer.
