Controlled Structural Change.
 In Steel. From year 1987.

This piece of artwork got its name time when Mr. Harri Holkeri, then Prime Minister of Finland, declared that Finland would go through a controlled structural change.

Structural change.

In this work of art the structural change appears in the way in which the bow steel stem the seat has been bent backwards, quite at the bottom of the seat.

The lower part (the base) is made from a clutch cover.  Notice the support bar (aka. assistance) which rises from the base to the stem.

The structural change may seem controlled at a glance, but closer examination will reveal an evident distortion in the left front edge of the seat .

The Bedsitter Man shaped this change with the help of a car and a four column lift by lowering the lift and the car onto the edge of the seat.

So the controlledness of the structural change got quite concrete a distorsion this time.

It  may perhaps sound incredible but it is good to sit on the controlled structural change...
