Affiliated to the Rambler's Association
In early April and October the club organises walking holidays for members.
The holidays offer a four night stay - Monday to Friday - in a hotel with breakfast and dinner provided. Members travel to and from the hotel by car and lifts are offered to those without transport.
On the Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday there is a choice of:
* a relatively strenuous walk of up to 16 kilometres (10 miles) and 1,000 metres (3,300 feet) of ascent;
* a somewhat less ambitious walk pitched at a similar level to our normal Tuesday "A" walks;
* a leisurely stroll to explore nearby valleys and places of interest.
Recent holidays have included stays in Beaumaris, Grasmere, Conway, Borrowdale, Patterdale and Sedbergh. Future holidays are planned in Moffat and Brecon.
