“The Affairs of a Man”


Hi, It’s Melanie again. If you all don’t know this is my third fic. Sorry it took so long. I was busy and well I wanted it to be good and not rushed. Oh, one thing. If anything is mispelled and stuff, just look over it. If you don’t like it tell me, if you do tell me also. I wanted to thank a couple of people. First Jennifer, for helping me through all of it, the ideas, plots, and encouragement. She even wrote a little part. Second David and Ashley, they both helped out as much as they could. And Third Rachel, for the vote of confidence. And thanks to anyone who reads it.

Athens, Greece. At a Dinosaur dig, you can see lots of people there with tools and shovels with buses, jeeps and tents around. We go into a nice size tent where Ross and his friend, Kevin, are talking.
Kevin: (He is kneeling on the ground around sweeping bones with brushes, Ross comes over and starts writing some things on a pad of paper.) Hey man, I know we are suppose to be digging and researching but we have been for four days already and you haven’t took a break once.
Ross: (He looks at him blankly) So?
Kevin: So guess what I got?
Ross: (looks at him) What?
(Kevin gets out two tickets and shows them to him all excited.)
Kevin: I got us tickets to a Ralph Lauren fashion show.
Ross: (looks a him oddly) You think looking at clothes is supposed to make this trip fun?
Kevin: No. (He rolls his eyes at him, and they start walking toward the tents.) Look there are going to be models. (He starts waves his hands, motioning women.) Women models. It is his summer line, so there are going to be bathing suites.
(Ross rolls his eyes. He starts laughing and thinking how needy and horny Kevin was.)
Ross: (sarcastically) Wow.
Kevin: Man come on. (He puts his hand on Ross’ chest and stops him from walking.)
Ross: Look, if I wanted to see naked women I could just go to the beach.
(Ross pushes past him and they start walking again. They go inside a tent where some people are writing and testing materials. Ross picks up and few pads and writes on them, as Kevin follows him begging.)
Kevin: Man where we are going the women will be perfect. At the beach they have a lump here and there and everywhere. Come on. Look my sister gave me these tickets and I want to use them, so come on.
Ross: (He stops, looks at Kevin’s fake sad look and gives in knowing this show will only lead to him going home alone tonight.) Fine. Whatever. (Kevin starts rejoicing with this really weird dance.) But you owe me.
Kevin: All right.
(They go on testing and reading.)
~Later~
(Ross is in his hotel room on the phone just getting out of the shower with the phone on his ear. He is wearing a towel “btw”. He is having trouble holding up his towel and the phone so he balances it on his ear. He goes and sits on his bed, turning on the TV. He starts flipping through the channels half listening to the person on the phone.)
Ross: I am sorry sweetie. I wish I were at home too. (Pause) Of course I miss you. (Pause) Just going out with Kevin. (Pause) Yeah he bribed me. (Pause) You did? Well rent it. (Pause) No I don’t care how much it is. (Pause) Tell Monica to shut up.
(Kevin walks in all dressed and ready. He is wearing a nice shirt with brown slacks. He walks around Ross’ living room and starts going through his mini frig. He stills a couple of things, then walks into Ross’ bedroom. )
Kevin: Come on man we got 15 minutes before it starts.
(Ross shushes him and continues to talk. Kevin just stands there and listens.)
Ross: Uh Diane, I have to go Kevin is here. (Pause) Ok. All right. Uh uh. Alright, bye. (He hangs up the phone and looks at Kevin.) Sorry I got sidetracked.
Kevin: (slyly) Riiight.
(Ross goes into his bathroom and starts to get dressed. Kevin just walks around the room looking at stuff. He picks up Ross’ pictures he has, and starts talking.)
Kevin: So how is the control freak?
Ross: (V.O.) Hey man come on.
Kevin: (smiles to himself) Sorry how is Diane?
Ross: (V.O.) She is fine. She found a place for our anniversary party.
Kevin: So soon?
Ross: (V.O.) Yeah. Didn’t I tell you we pushed up the date it is on the 2nd now? Didn’t you get an invitation?
Kevin: (sarcastic) Well its not like I am at home so I could read my mail.
Ross: (V.O.) Oh right.
Kevin: Man I don’t know how you do it. I can’t stand monogamy. (Hehe I love that series) I couldn’t have just one woman. There are to many of them to have just one. (He laughs to himself. Ross in the bathroom gets disgusted look.)
(Ross comes out of the bathroom in Khakis and a long blue Tommy shirt on. He picks up his cell phone and his jacket and turns to Kevin.)
Ross: (laughing) And I don’t understand why you have an interest in Paleontology.
(They leave the hotel room still talking.)

~ The Show ~
(A nice looking waterfront. There is a stage and spotlights everywhere with a man talking on it. There are Photographers everywhere. Behind the stage we see models everywhere in all types of clothes. There is stage staff and equipment being moved, and flowers being placed. Everything is just chaos. Then we see two girls in make up chairs talking. We see it is Rachel and her friend Tara.)
Tara: (There is a make up lady doing her hair.) I told my agent that I needed a break. He said he could schedule one for next summer. But I was like no-no-no-no, I need one now. So he is trying to make adjustments.
Rachel: That is great. I want to take one to, but I don’t know when. It is so hard; I want to go back home. I haven’t seen my penthouse in months. (She starts to stare off thinking about her home. Her thoughts are interrupted though.)
A Lady: Girls get lined up the show is about to begin.
(As the show goes on Ross and Kevin just arrive. Kevin is all excited and keeps pointing to every girl model. Rachel comes out in a dress first. Then Tara and then they come out in bikinis. Ross is looking at a magazine not paying attention to anything going on. Rachel and Tara come out a few more times until the show is over. Goes to Ross and Kevin who are leaving.)
Ross: (Sarcastic) I must say this was worth the night out.
Kevin: (Hits him) Come on man you were turned on.
Ross: (dryly) Not once.
Kevin: Whatever I know you were. (They walk away from the waterfront onto the street. Kevin sees something and starts pointing. It’s a bar club. It’s a nice one though.) Hey looks, there is a club/bar thingy.
Ross: (Ross looks up and rolls his eyes, thinking about being left.) Why can’t we just go back to the hotel?
Kevin: (sort of yelling) Because we are out to have fun!
~ 20 Minutes Late r~
(Ross and Kevin finally get in. Imagine something like the scene from “TOW The Routine”. There are bright lights and loud music, with lots of people dancing and drinking. Ross has a horrible look on his face and Kevin is smiling bright, but looks sorry. )
Kevin: (innocent) How was I supposed to know there would have been a wait?
Ross: Yeah.
Kevin: (He scopes out the room, picking out the ladies he is going to hit on.) Hey look at all the ladies.
Ross: Oh man.
Kevin: Come on. (Kevin drags him around until they reach the table with Tara and Rachel.)
Rachel: I almost got mobbed coming in here.
Tara: I know. They-
Kevin: (cuts her off) Hello my dear ladies how are you doing tonight?
(Her and Rachel look at him as if he is crazy for interrupting their conversation.)
Tara: Ok. And you are?
Kevin: Kevin Mannheim.
(He puts his hand out and she shakes it. They look at each other kind of flirting with their eyes. Rachel is looking at them and smiling and Ross is just standing there disgusted.)
Tara: Tara Reed.
Kevin: Well Miss Tara, would you like to dance?
(He leads her out to the dance floor to go dance, leaving Ross and Rachel by themselves. There is an awkward silence around. Ross looks at Rachel a couple of times, and then looks off at the dance floor, and Rachel speaks.)
Rachel: (not rude, but just wanting to know.) Who are you?
Ross: (He realizes she is talking to him) Oh sorry, Ross.
(Shakes her hand)
Rachel: I’m Rachel.
(He smiles at her and looks in her eyes noticing a sparkle in them, even though he is married, he becomes very trapped in them. He looks at her and sees she is giving him a weird look and snaps out of his trans.)
Ross: Nice to meet you.
Rachel: Likewise. (They again sit in silence, as Rachel tries to make conversation with this young attractive man) So was that your friend?
Ross: Yeah. (He looks at Kevin on the dance floor and shakes his head.) He thinks he is God’s gift to women.
Rachel: Oh. (She smiles at him then see his face expression changes back to distress.) It looks like you don’t want to be here.
Ross: (He smiles weakly) I really don’t. See I am here in Greece on a dig I really live in New York City.
Rachel: Oh my god you are Ross! Ross Geller, the scientist guy from New York.
Ross: Wow. (Gets all proud of himself) I guess I am known across the globe.
Rachel: No it’s just that I am from New York also, I am here for work. I always see your picture in magazines and on the news.
Ross: Oh. (Looks at her) I feel like I have seen you before.
Rachel: (smiles) Really?
Ross: Yeah. Anyway my friend took me out tonight to get away from work.
Rachel: Where did he take you?
Ross: To a fashion show, I didn’t even watch it. I mean what is it models, those airhead girls that can’t even read a book but can balance it on their heads. It’s like they are training to be in the circus. That is what a fashion is, a circus. People coming to see what crazy new thing they got to show.
(He stops talking and looks at Rachel and sees her glaring at him with an angry expression)
Ross: (he looks around then back at her.) Did I say something wrong?
Rachel: (Upset) Yeah.
(She gets a piece of paper from her purse and shows it to him.)
Ross: (sorry) Oh my, I-I am so sorry. Oh my God you-you are Rachel Green. I can’t believe I didn’t notice you. You look so normal.
Rachel: (offended) What?!
Ross: In a good way. I mean you are gorgeous. It’s just you don’t look like a model.
Rachel: Right I don’t look like a brain-dead circus freak.
Ross: Oh look I am sorry I was being rude that isn’t what I think of all models; it’s the way they portray you to seem. I am just mad because my friend made me go.
Rachel: I guess. I mean I don’t think all scientists are geeky weirdoes.
Ross: I am so sorry.
Rachel: I forgive you.
Ross: So your friend Tara is she a model too.
Rachel: Yeah.
Ross: Is it fun and exciting?
Rachel: Sometimes. But I am going to take a vacation. I am going to go back home for a little bit and work there.
Ross: Great.
Rachel: Yeah.
(They start to talk more and learn stuff about each other. Seem like hey are having a great time.)
~ Time Lapse ~
(They are still sitting there talking. By now they have had a few drinks, but they are not drunk. Although Rachel is practically sitting on Ross’ lap.)
Rachel: (laughing) So you married a lesbian and had a son with her?
Ross: (defensive) Hey I didn’t know she was gay.
(Rachel laughs. Kevin and Tara come over. Kevin looks at their situation and gives a sly smile.)
Kevin: (to Ross) Hey man we’re going to get out of here.
Tara: Yeah Rachel, I will see you later.
Ross: Ok.
(They leave)
Rachel: (she looks back a Ross and sighs) Well I guess I can go back to my hotel now.
Ross: What hotel are you staying at? I might need to find my friend in the morning?
Rachel: The Hilton Plaza.
Ross: Cool Me too. Room 909.
Rachel: I am in 919. What a coincident. (They stay in silence again, and Rachel starts to stare but she catches herself.) Well, I am gonna go back.
Ross: Ok. I better go too, I have nothing better to do.
(Ross picks up here coat and puts it on her, then leaves a tip at the table and escorts her outside still talking)

~ The Hilton Plaza ~
(Ross is walking Rachel to her room. They stop at her door.)
Rachel: (she looks down, then back up at him) Well thanks for walking me to my room and thanks for tonight, I had fun.
Ross: My pleasure.
(She turns around and unlocked the door and turns back to Ross she leans and kisses his cheek.)
Rachel: Goodnight.
Ross: (He breathes in her scent) Night.
(He turns and starts to walk off and goes to his room. Rachel then goes inside. The hotel rooms are big and expensive with like a living room, but Rachel and Tara only have one bedroom in the back. Rachel walks in the bedroom and turns on the light, to see Tara and Kevin in one bed. She screams and covers her eyes, as she tries to leave they room.)
Rachel: Oh my god!! I am sorry! I’ll leave!
(She rushes out of the room down the hall to Ross’ room and knocks. Ross answers the door in his boxers. He has a nice body. Which Rachel is staring hard at.)
Rachel: Wow!
Ross: (he looks at her confused as to why she is at his door.) Uh Rachel.
Rachel: (snapping out of it) Oh sorry uh c-can I stay here for a little. Tara and Kevin are well…in my room, and we only have one bedroom so...
Ross: Oh yeah sure. Come in.
(He open the door wider letting her in. The room is much bigger than hers. She looks around a little.)
Rachel: Wow! Your room is huge.
Ross: Well I am the head of the dig, so they give me nice things. (He points to his bedroom) You can go in there and sit down if you would like. I just need to finish a few things.
Rachel: Ok. (she leaves to his bedroom and sits on the chair by the bed, not wanting to disturb his things. Ross walks in and goes into his bathroom. (Mell: I.B.= In the Bathroom :)
Ross: (I.B.) Oh the remote is on the bed if you want to change the channel.
Rachel: Thanks.
(She looks at his bed that is partially unmade, and yells to him) Were you about to go to sleep?
Ross: (I.B.) No, I was just about to exercise. I was just making sure I had sheets on my bed. But hey, you want to watch a movie?
Rachel: Yeah, that would be great.
(He walks out and sits down on the bed, he grabs the remote and flips through the channels.)
Ross: What do you want to watch?
Rachel: (She puts her hands into her lap.) Anything I really don’t care.
Ross: Ok... how about... “Star Wars”.
Rachel: (rolls her eyes) Whatever.
(Ross picks the movie off the television, and they both move and sit at the end of the bed.)
~ Time Lapse ~
(Ross and Rachel are cuddled under a blanket watching “What Women Want”. Rachel keeps glancing at Ross through the movie, and Ross finds himself looking at her also. He knew he was married, but he was seriously attracted to this girl he just met. He saw her looking at him again and tried to bring their attention back to the movie.)
Ross: I can’t believe you talked me into watching this.
Rachel: Why not? It’s a movie that shows what women what, and you could use a few pointers.
Ross: (sarcastically) Funny.
Rachel: What? It simply shows you what we want…
Ross: (finishing her sentence) …But are never going to get.
(She lightly nudges him.)
Rachel: Whatever.
(They sit in silence for a few minutes)
Ross: That’s it, I can’t take it anymore, give me the remote.
Rachel: (she looks at him) What? No!
Ross: Yes, come on.
Rachel: No.
(He reaches over her to get it, but she puts up a fight, making him collapse on her. Their heads get really close to each other so that they feel each other breathing. They are both like in a Trans, looking deep in each other’s eyes. Ross leans in and kisses her lips softly, and she kisses him back. He breaks and kisses her head, cheek, then neck. He nibbles on her ear causing her to giggle and they just fall into everything. Then Ross picks her up, lays her on the bed and goes on top of her kissing her.)

~ Next Morning ~
(Someone is sneaking in a hotel room. They go inside and goes into the bedroom, they turn around and we see it is Kevin. He walks into Ross’ room and sees Ross’ and Rachel all cuddled up together asleep. He smiles to himself and leaves the room. A little while later Ross wakes up and feels something next to him he looks down and sees Rachel in his arms. He thinks for a moment then realizes that he is married. He sighs and looks worried. Then Rachel starts to stir. She opens her eyes a little bit and sees Ross and hugs him tighter.)
Rachel: (softly) Morning you.
Ross: (softly) Hey.
(They kiss)
Rachel: I had a great time last night. (She gets a great big smile) It was amazing.
Ross: (Uncomfortable) Yeah me too.
(Rachel looks at the clock behind Ross and her eyes pop open really wide)
Rachel: Oh my god!
(She jumps out of bed, with the sheet, and starts grabbing her clothes.)
Ross: (worried) What?!
Rachel: Nothing, its just I was suppose to be at a photo shoot about thirty minutes ago.
Ross: Oh. (He gets out of bed, with the covers, and puts on his boxers)
Rachel: (She starts looking around the room on the floor and furniture.) Crap! Do you know where my shirt and my bra are?
Ross: (He picks them up from the TV and hands them to her.) Here you go.
Rachel: Thanks. (She starts walking to the door with Ross following her. She turns around quick taking Ross by surprise.)
Rachel: I had a great time last night, and I guess I will see you later.
(She gives him a good, deep kiss. Then turns and goes out.)
Ross: Bye.
(He shuts his door and looks down walking back into his bedroom, but there is a knock at the door. He goes back to answer it thinking it was Rachel forgetting something. He opened the door to see a widely grinning Kevin. Ross looks at him weird.)
Ross: What are you so cheery about?
(They walk into the room.)
Kevin: Well it seems like I am not the only one who got lucky last night.
Ross: What are you talking about man?
Kevin: You know what I am taking about. Or was that not Rachel I saw you very comfortable in bed with this morning?
Ross: (surprised) You saw us?
Kevin: Yep, you look so cute.
Ross: Shut up.
(They sit down in the living room, with the television on.)
Kevin: Hey don’t get mad I am proud of you man.
Ross: Well don’t be it was a mistake.
Kevin: Whatever you know you wanted her.
Ross: Shut up. But you got to promise me man you won’t breathe a word about this to anyone.
Kevin: My lips are sealed.
(He does a zipped thing with his lips like a zipper.)
Ross: (He outs his head in his hands.) What have I done? I am married.
Kevin: Don’t worry about that man. Besides we have some bones to dig up. Go wash up so we can go.
(Ross leaves to get dressed.)

~ The Photo Shoot ~
(Rachel is talking to Tara in a dressing room. They are sitting on stools putting on make up.))
Tara: You slept with him.
Rachel: (shy) Yeah.
Tara: Wow! I cannot believe you did that!
Rachel: (pointing at her) Hey! You slept with his friend.
Tara: I know, but that is like nothing.
Rachel: Well it’s not like I could get to my room. (She glares at her)
Tara: Sorry about that.
Rachel: Tar it was so amazing. I don’t think I have ever had it that good.
Tara: Really?
Rachel: Yeah he is wonderful, so sweet and cute. I really want to continue what ever it is we are doing.
Tara: Wow! That is serious.
Rachel: I know! Oh and the great thing about it is he also lives in New York.
Tara: Great. You guys could be a couple.
Rachel: I know.
(The Photo people call for Rachel.)
PP1: Rachel it is time for you.
(She leaves and goes to start posing.

~ The Hotel ~
(Ross and Kevin are just getting in, when they run into Rachel. Ross looks a bit uncomfortable.)
Kevin: Hey
Rachel: Hello
Ross: Hi (He looks down)
Kevin: So Rachel what are you up to?
Rachel: Nothing, really. (silence)
Kevin: So how was your night last night?
(Rachel looks up at Ross and he looks at her too.)
Rachel: It was fun. We watched movies (gesturing to her and Ross)
Kevin: Oh sound nice. (He looks at both of them and smiles) Look I am going to go. I have to get to my massage. See you kids later.
Rach/Ross: Bye/See ya man.
(He leaves. Ross and Rachel look at each other.)
Ross: So where are you going?
Rachel: Nowhere. Actually I was wondering if we could talk?
Ross: Oh ok, (he looks around at the people on the hotel) lets go to my room then.
(They go to the elevators wondering about what the others thinking.)

~ Ross’ Hotel room ~
(They go inside the room and look at each other for a bit. Then Ross speaks up)
Ross: So what’s up?
Rachel: Well uh, about last night. I-I mean is this something you would like to continue?
Ross: (thinks) Kevin V.O. "I can't just have one women.") Uh yeah, would you?
Rachel: (she smiles really big) Yes.
Ross: (He grabs her hands and starts playing with them) Ok we will then.
Rachel: (happy) Really?
Ross: Yeah.
Rachel: Great! (She leans forward and they kiss very deeply. Ross breaks.)
Ross: Would you like to go out tonight?
Rachel: Yeah, that would be great.
Ross: Good. So I will call you and we will talk about it later. Because right now I am suppose to be heading to my dig site.
Rachel: Ok. Well then I should go.
Ross: Alright. (He kisses her cheek.)
Rachel: Bye.
Ross: Bye (Ross shuts the door as she leaves with a smile on his face. He thinks about what he is doing; about his wife and his life. He thinks about and how pretty and nice Rachel is and decides to keep things going. Although he is not the type to have an affair, he thinks that this will be great. He gets up and leaves the room.)
~ Later ~
Ross’s hotel room was empty, but you could hear a voice in the bedroom. Inside the room Ross was on the phone talking.
Ross (on the phone, talking to Rachel) So I made reservations for us at 8. Is that ok?
Rachel: It’s fine. Listen, I have to go shower and change and everything. Pick me up at 7.
Ross: 7, isn’t that kind of early?
Rachel: Well let’s see…what can we do in an hour…?
Ross: I’ll be there.
Rachel: Bye honey.
Ross: Bye. (Hangs up).
~ Time Lapse ~
(Rachel is running around the hotel room getting ready. She stopped at the mirror to make sure she looked perfect, and of course she did. She had on a red spaghetti strap dress then came to just above her knees, black strapped shoes, her hair was down, and she wore a gold necklace with her name on it. Just then she heard the knock at the door. She ran to the door and opened it, revealing Ross.)
Rachel: Hey.
Ross: Wow…you…you look amazing.
Rachel: In this old thing? (Ross looked at her questioningly) Yeah ok, I bought it today…but thanks.
Ross: Ready?
Rachel: Yes. (Ross held his arm out for her and she wrapped hers around his. She closed and locked the door behind them. While the waited for the elevator to come, Rachel saw it as a perfect opportunity to kiss him. She looked him in the eyes and smiled. He returned her smile and she wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him closer. He leaned down, their mouths touching, and kissed her. Just then the elevator came and the doors opened. An old couple was in there. Ross and Rachel didn’t even notice; they just went on kissing. Her hands sliding down his back, his hands in her hair. The old couple looked at them and the doors closed. Ross broke the kiss.)
Ross: At this rate we’ll never make it.
Rachel: Is that a bad thing?
Ross: Not if it’s anything like right now. (He smiled at her again and leaned in for another kiss. Rachel gladly accepted it. The elevator stopped again, this time no one was in it. And this time Rachel broke the kiss.)
Rachel: Shall we?
Ross: (not wanting to stop) Next one.
Rachel: Come on… (She walks towards the open elevator but Ross grabs her hand and pulls her back to him.) Well, if you insist. (Once again, Ross embraces her in a kiss. The last thing on his mind was Diane.)

~ Time Lapse ~
~ Restaurant ~
Ross follows the waiter to their seat, Rachel holding his hand, walking behind him. The waiter puts two menus on the table.
Waiter: Enjoy.
Ross: Thank you. (The waiter walks away. Ross turns and smiles at Rachel. He pulls out the chair for her.) Madame.
Rachel: Why thank you. (She sits down. Ross sits across from her.)
Ross: I’m surprised we actually made it on time.
Rachel: Not if we had my way…
Ross: dessert…
Rachel: Of course. (She laughs and so does he. She reaches across the table and grabs his tie, leaning towards him and pulling him closer. She kisses him passionately on the lips.) I love you.
Ross: (at first taken back my her comment, but then smiles back.) I love you too. (They smile at each other for a while, sharing a moment.)
Rachel: (jokingly) Great, now that that’s out of the way, let order, I’m starving.
Ross: (jokingly) I thought models didn’t eat.
Rachel: Very funny. (Again they both laugh and go on talking. The waiter comes and takes their orders.)
~Time Laps~
The food has arrived and they’re eating. Ross is almost done; Rachel however is only about half way done.
Ross: Why is it women eat so slowly?
Rachel: Why is it guys eat so fast?
Ross: Hey we eat at normal speeds you girls just eat slowly. Like you’re trying to save the food or something.
Rachel: Well sorry. If we ate to fast then we’d be fat, and you wouldn’t like it.
Ross: I know what you can eat all you want and you won’t get fat… (Rachel looks at him confused for a minute then makes a disgusted face.)
Rachel: Oh that’s gross! Now I’m not eating.
Ross: Sorry.
Rachel: You’ll just pay for that tonight. (Looks at him with an evil smile.)
Ross: I think I’ll live.
Rachel: Is that what you think? Well we’ll see about that…
Ross: Is that a threat?
Rachel: It could be.
Ross: Well then…I guess we’ll just have to finish up here and go back to the hotel to find out.
Rachel I guess so. (Ross kisses her then signals for a check.)
Ross: The sooner the better.
Rachel: I’ll say. (She kisses him again as the waiter brings the check. They leave the restaurant in a rush.)

the person “Ross has to go.” She throws the phone behind them

(Two Weeks Later)
(Ross and Kevin are they’re talking and looking over papers in another tent.)
Kevin: Ok, so how long have you two been together?
Ross: Just these two weeks.
Kevin: (He looks at him like “What are you doing?”) And when were you planning on telling her you are married?
Ross: I don't know.
Kevin: Man you two have been all over each other for the last two weeks you can't just dump her and go back to New York.
Ross: I won't have to dump her cause she is coming back to New York with me.
Kevin: What!?
Ross: Yeah it turns out that she lives there too.
Kevin: (sarcastically) Oh great. (Serious) What about Diane?
Ross: What is with you man, I thought a guy couldn't have just (does the finger quotations) one woman?
Kevin: That is me, not you! I thought you might have a couple of nights with her, but not go all couply with it.
Ross: I am not you. She is not just some woman who sleeps around, and I really like her.
Kevin: Look man, I just don't want to see you get hurt.
Ross: I won't.
Kevin: You will if you don't tell her.
Rachel: Tell her what?
(Ross and Kevin both turn around surprised to see Rachel.)
Kevin: Hey Rachel.
Ross: Hey. What are you doing here? (Hugs and kisses her)
Rachel: (she looks at him a little weird) What? I can't come and visit my boyfriend for lunch?
Ross: No you can, I mean you just surprised me.
Kevin: (points) I am just going to go over-over there.
Ross: Ok. (He walks away leaving Ross and Rachel to talk. Ross gets Rachel by her waist and she wraps her arms around his neck, and they start to sway as they talk.
Ross: Uh Rach, I am sorry, but I can't go to lunch.
(She pouts)
Rachel: Why not?
Ross: Aw cheer up. I have a lot of work to do this is our last day here, but how about tonight we have dinner. We can order in.
Rachel: (Happy) Ok.
(She leans and kisses him on his cheek, and they let each other go.)
Rachel: Well I got to go then. See you later.
Ross: Bye. (Blows her a kiss.)
(She walks away. Ross looks after her with a smile on his face.)
(Later)

~ Rachel's Hotel room ~
(Ross and Rachel are on the couch in the living room, because there are suitcases everywhere.)
Rachel: I can't believe we are leaving tomorrow.
Ross: Yeah I know. (He pulls her up into his lap, and puts his arms around her kissing her neck)
Rachel: This trip was so fun and romantic, because I met you.
(She turns around and kisses him softly. Ross breaks and looks uncomfortable.)
Ross: Uh Rach, there is something I think I need to tell you.
Rachel: (worried) What?
Ross: Ok here it goes. This is not going to be pretty (takes a deep breathe and stands up making her stand too.) I am…kinda.. well..sort of.. married.
Rachel: (she looks surprised and covers her mouth.) Oh my god.
Ross: Look, I am sorry I didn't tell you. It's just I think I fell in love with you.
Rachel: Oh my god. (She starts to pace around with her hands on her head.)
Ross: Look, I am so so sorry.
Rachel: (angry) So what everything we did, everything you said was a lie!?
Ross: No it wasn't, it wasn't suppose to happen.
Rachel: (She stops and glares at him) So it was a mistake!?
Ross: No, no I didn’t mean that. It is just very complicated.
Rachel: It is not complicated. Anyone knows if their married you can't just go date and sleep with other people!!! (She sits down on the couch and stares at the floor.)
Ross: I know. Listen these last two weeks were wonderful, and I like you a lot.
Rachel: But you are married! I can’t believe I slept with a married man.
Ross: Ok I got it! I am married! Look... (Goes to get her hand, but she pulls away.)
Rachel: (still upset) Hey don't!.
Ross: Rachel.
Rachel: I can't believe this. I can't believe YOU!!
Ross: (He gets down on his knees and looks her in the eyes, with his puppy dog face) I am really truly sorry I didn't want to hurt you.
Rachel: (calmly) I know. (sighs) I guess I just don’t want what ever this is to end.
Ross: Me either.
(They look at each other sad. Rachel starts getting teary eyed, but then looks thoughtful.)
Rachel: Well maybe it doesn’t have to. Maybe we could stay together
Ross: I want to, but I can't. (She looks really sad) But I don’t want to loose you. I am to confused.
Rachel: (softly) I love you.
Ross: I love you too.
Rachel: (She is crying now) Well then let's stay together!
Ross: I can't!
(They both look down trying to think.)
Rachel: (She starts calming down, wiping away her tears) Well maybe we could continue this until you get your feeling straight, maybe.
Ross: (He looks up at her) You really want to?
Rachel: Yes.
Ross: Well maybe, I guess we can.
Rachel: Ok
Ross: (smiles a little) Alright.
(They look deep into each other’s eyes then lean in for a long, slow, and passionate kiss. After awhile Ross breaks it but they stay really close.)

(They kiss again. We Fade out.)

[Next Morning]
~ Rachel’s hotel room ~
(Rachel is packing the rest of her stuff and talking to Tara)
Tara: Ok so he is married and you are with him also?
Rachel: Yes.
Tara: So you are sleeping with him?
Rachel: I am not only sleeping with him. He is my boyfriend.
Tara: But he is married.
Rachel: And?
Tara: You just don’t go exclaiming you are a married mans girlfriend. Are you guys going to be sneaking around?
Rachel: Well probably, it’s not like we can go flaunting around.
Tara: You see!
Rachel: What?!
Tara: If you have to hide your relationship, then it is not a good one. You are only going to get yourself hurt.
Rachel: (She gets upset) Hey what do you know about relationships anyway you can even keep a boyfriend. The closes you have come to a relationship is a two-night stand!
Tara: (She is obviously hurt) Whatever Rachel I was just trying to show you how stupid you are being.
Rachel: Get out.
Tara: Gladly.
(With that she gets up and leaves. Rachel looks upset and goes back to packing. There is a knock at her door.)
Rachel: Go away Tara I really don’t want to see you anymore!
(Ross opens the door and walks in.)
Ross: (slowly) Is this a bad time.
(Rachel looks up and sees Ross and smiles, as she goes to hug him.)
Rachel: For you, never.
(They kiss, and Ross breaks.)
Ross: (He looks around) Are you almost done our flight leaves in 20 minutes.
Rachel: Yes. I just need to put these last bits of clothes into my suitcase and we can leave.
Ross: Alright.
(Rachel goes on packing while Ross waits for her.)

~ New York, LaGuardia Airport ~
(Ross and Rachel are just getting off the plane. They are in the middle of an intense make out session against a wall in the terminals. People are walking by but they don’t seem to care. Ross breaks, but they are still really close to each other.)
Ross: Ok I think I have to go. Diane is going to be waiting for me.
Rachel: Aw don’t go we can sneak past her (she looks around at the people) wherever she is.
Ross: I can’t. I already told her to come and get me.
Rachel: Fine. (She looks down, and he sees her face and melts. He puts his hands on her cheek, then slides it down to her chin and makes her look at him.)
Ross: Hey, don’t look that way.
Rachel: I know, I am sorry. I just don’t want you to leave.
Ross: I know how you feel. (They stare at each other for a while, and are about to kiss. Rachel snaps out of the trans though.)
Rachel: Ok. Look this isn’t making things better, so you should just go.
Ross: Ok. (He leans in and gives her a soft kiss.) So I guess I will see you later.
(He kisses her again. She breaks this time.)
Rachel: Call me. (kiss) We can go out (kiss) Tomorrow. (Kiss)
Ross: Ok. (He kisses her again longer.)
Rachel: (She breaks) Ok I have got to go too. My limo is waiting and I want to leave before someone recognizes me.
Ross: (laughs) Ok.
Rachel: Bye sweetie.
Ross: Yeah, bye.
(She hugs him really tight then leaves and he watches her disappear in the crowd of people. He walks out of the terminal and is greeted with a tight hug by his wife.)
Diane: Oh honey I am so glad you are home.
(He lightly hugs her back with a look of guilt on his face.)
Ross: Yeah it is good to be home.
Diane: So how was your trip?
Ross: Long I am tired.
Diane: Well don’t be too tired, because Monica is having a dinner to celebrate your return.
Ross: Oh that’s nice.
Diane: Yeah. Oh Ross you will never guess what happened to me yesterday. I was in…(trails off. Fades out.)
~ Rachel’s penthouse ~
(Rachel is just getting home. She walks into her house and sees it for the first time in months. She runs up and down the steps viewing what is there. Her penthouse was still intact, she looks at here clock and wonders what Ross is doing. She looks at her phone and picks it up and starts dialing a phone number.)

~ Monica & Chandlers ~
(The whole gang is there minus Rachel, including Diane. They are all sitting around listening to Ross tell about his trip.)
Ross: It was great. Kevin took me to a fashion show even.
Joey: Wow! Were there hot girls there? Did you get to meet any?
Diane: Joey!
(Ross looks down)
Monica: I am so glad you are back. We missed you here.
Ross: I am glad I am back too. There weren’t many coffee houses there.
(Ross’ cell phone starts to ring, he looks at it and sees it is Rachel calling him, so he ignores it. a It keeps ringing and everyone starts looking at him.)
Monica: Uh Ross should we get that or are you going to.
Ross: Oh uh (looks at everyone) It’s a wrong number.
Monica: Oh. (Ross looks down then turns off his phone.)
Chandler: Ross you look like you need a wake up call.
Monica: Yeah. What do you say we take a trip to Central Perk?
Diane: That sounds great. Ross, can you make it that long without sleep. (Ross is out of it.) Ross? Ross?
Ross: (blinking) What? What?
Diane: We are going to get coffee can you make it there without falling asleep?
Ross: Yeah.
Monica: Ok come on. (They all get up to leave, but Ross stays behind. Chandler and Monica turn around and notice.)
Monica: Hey, what are you doing?
Chandler: You know when we said we were going to the coffeehouse you were supposed to come too.
Ross: (laughs) I am coming. I just want to make a phone call.
Monica: Alrighty. Hurry up.
(They leave. Ross picks up his cell phone and dials a number. He waits for a few minutes then hangs it up and walks out the door.)

~ Ross’ Office ~
[Three days later. Ross and Chandler are there sitting around and talking.]
Chandler: (laughing) I still can’t believe Kevin talked you into going to a fashion show.
Ross: Yeah well I was tired of looking at bones.
Chandler: I never thought you would get tired of looking at bones.
Ross: Shut up. (laughs) Hey uh Chandler can I tell you something.
Chandler: Yeah of course man.
Ross: Ok, but if I tell you, you got to promise that you will not tell a soul.
Chandler: Ok I won’t. What’s up?
Ross: I-I met someone.
Chandler: (Slowly) Ross, I think you met a lot of people there.
Ross: No man. I met a girl.
Chandler: You what?!
Ross: I met a girl.
Chandler: You met a girl. (Ross nods) Ross you know you are married, and from what I have heard when you married you are not suppose to “meet someone.”
Ross: It gets worse.
Chandler: Tell me you didn’t.
Ross: (looks guilty) I did.
Chandler: Oh man.
Ross: I am still not done. (pauses) I am still seeing her. (Chandler’s eyes are out of their sockets now.) She lives here in New York. We met in Greece in bar after her fashion show.
Chandler: Her fashion show?
Ross: Yeah she is uh, Rachel Green.
Chandler: Rachel Green. Whoa she is hot. (Ross shoots him a look) Uh...your still seeing her?!
Ross: Yeah.
Chandler: Let me take a minute and sit down to take all this in. (Chandler sits in Ross’ desk chair while Ross sits on his desk with his head in his hands.) So, does she know you are married? (Ross looks up and nods slowly.)
Ross: Yeah. When I tried to break up with her I had to tell her. She asked me to stay with her.
Chandler: So you are thinking about leaving Diane?
Ross: I don’t know, but I like Rachel a lot and I am not ready for this to be over.
Chandler: Ok.
(Ross’ cell phone starts to ring, and he picks it up. The scene switches back and forth.)
Ross: Hello?
Rachel: Hello Ross?
Ross: This is he. Who is this?
Rachel: Rachel
Ross: Oh. Oh my god.
(Chandler looks up and mouths, “Is it her?” and Ross nods and starts walking around his office.)
Rachel: Uh am I not supposed to call you?
Ross: What? Oh no-no you can call. I was just surprised.
Rachel: Oh, cause I have been trying to call you for the past two days and you didn’t answer.
Ross: Sorry, it was not a good time.
Rachel: Oh sorry. (Awkward silence) So how are you?
Ross: Good. I missed you.
Rachel: (smiles) I missed you too.
Ross: So what are you doing?
Rachel: Just relaxing.
Ross: How about we go out tonight. (Chandler looks at Ross like he is crazy.) Or stay in.
Rachel: That sound (pauses) great.
Ross: So let’s see. I will pick you up from your apartment a eight o’clock.
Rachel: Ok see you then. Bye.
Ross: Bye.
(Ross looks at Chandler and he shakes his head in disbelief.)

~ Rachel's Penthouse ~
(Rachel is pacing around waiting for something. She is dressed up nice not to dressy though. She is wearing a knee length Khaki skirt and a white, long sleeve shirt, with her hair half up. There is a knock on her door and she goes and answers it. It is Ross, he’s wear Khaki pants and a blue, long sleeve shirt.)
Ross: Hey beautiful. (He gives her a bouquet of flowers.)
Rachel: Oh wow! Thank-you. (She leans and kisses him sweetly. He breaks it and starts to walk in.)
Ross: You have a great place here.
Rachel: Yeah well, it's home. (She follows him into her living room. He turns around suddenly sort of scaring her.)
Rachel: Whoa, what's wrong?
Ross: (laughing) Oh nothing. Sorry to scare you. (He wraps his arms around her waist, lowering her to the couch.) I missed you.
Rachel: I missed you too, and you missed my calls.
Ross: Sorry about that. People were always around me.
Rachel: Oh. (She kisses him on the nose.)
Ross: Yeah. (He kisses her neck as they lay on the couch.)
Rachel: So are we going out or staying in? I could order-in.
Ross: Considering our current positions, I think we should order-in.
Rachel: Ok. (At that Rachel tries to sit up.) Uh I can’t order if I can’t get the phone.
Ross: (He stops kissing her.) Oh sorry. (He laughs and gets off of her, sitting up while she gets the phone and starts to dial.)
Rachel: (To Ross) I hope you like Italian.
Ross: I do.
Rachel: Ok. (She starts talking to the person. Ross just looks at her.) Yes I would like two orders of Manicotti la Carnio and your white La Shiraz Champagne. (Pauses) Yes that will be all thank-you. (She hangs up and looks at Ross. He gets up and hugs her from behind laying his head on her neck, kissing her sometimes.) Hmmm.
Ross: How much was it?
Rachel: $133.70 Why? (Mell: Remember they are both pretty wealthy.)
Ross: Ok.
Rachel: (turns around and looks at him.) Why?
Ross: Nothing. I was just wanting to know so I could make sure I had that much on me.
Rachel: Why, I am paying Ross?
Ross: No you are not.
Rachel: Ok we’ll see.
Ross: (Kisses her, then breaks.) Ok.
[Later]
(The bell rings. Rachel’s bedroom door opens quickly and she darts out of it in a big shirt, Ross’. Ross comes out a half second later in his boxers. He catches up to Rachel and jumps on her making her fall with him, and he gets up and takes off down the stairs. Right as he gets to the bottom of the steps Rachel comes charging right behind him taking him out. She gets off of him giggling and runs to the door and opens it. She turns and picks up her purse from the table looking for something. Ross comes running up to the door with a two hundred dollar bills and hand it to the guy, who is laughing at how they are dressed and how hard they are breathing. Ross bends down and puts his head down to his legs and takes deep breathes. He sticks his tongue out as she takes to food and closes the door. They go into her kitchen and sit at her table.)
Rachel: Are you staying here tonight?
Ross: I don’t know. I told Diane I was going to be later at the office, but I will just tell her I just spent the night at Joey’s.
Rachel: (smiles) Great.
(Fades out on them eating and talking.)

~ Ross’ Apartment ~
[Next day]
(Ross is just getting home. He slowly starts to walk into his bedroom hoping not to wake up Diane. He gets in his bedroom and sees Diane walk out of the bathroom. She looks up at him.)
Diane: Hey where were you last night?
Ross: What?
Diane: Yeah I kept calling your office and no one answered.
Ross: Oh, I was away in the labs, and then I went to Joey’s cause it was too late and I was too tired come all the way over here.
Diane: Oh. (Smiles at him, and walks over to him) Well are you going to be here tonight?
Ross: (looks uncomfortable) I don’t know. I have to see what we need to do today. I was supposed to do something with the guys tonight.
Diane: Oh what about me?
Ross: What do you mean?
Diane: Well you have been gone for a while. I’ve missed you. (Puts her hands around his waist)
Ross: Uh and I will make up for that later. I promise. (Takes her hands off him and walks to the bed.)
Diane: What are you doing right now?
Ross: I am about to go to sleep?
Diane: Didn’t you go to sleep last night?
Ross: No not really Joey kept me up?
Diane: Oh, well I need to go see you later.
Ross: Ok bye.
(She gives him a kiss on the cheek and leaves. He just lies down on his bed and starts thinking. Ross gets up and goes out of his apartment, with a smile on his face.)

~ Rachel’s Penthouse ~
[Two weeks later]
(They are in bed together; (perverts!) but have sheets over them. They are holding each other talking.)
Rachel: (all giggly) I cannot believe we have kept this up for a whole two weeks now. That means we have been together for a month.
Ross: Yeah I know. (He looks again, guilty. She sees his face and gets a sad look. )
Rachel: (sad) I am sorry. Do you think we should end this?
Ross: No!
Rachel: (She looks at him trying to figure out what he wants) Then what?
Ross: Look, I am sorry I just need time to think about some things.
Rachel: (happy) Ok there is no pressure on you whatsoever.
Ross: (sarcastic) Oh that makes things easier. (She gives him a look)
Rachel: Are you hungry?
Ross: Starved. Why?
Rachel: Well I could order something. What time is it?
Ross: (He gets his watch and looks at it.) 9:30.
Rachel: Crap!! I was supposed to be at a photo shoot an hour ago. Damn it!! Damn it!!
(She gets out of Ross’ grasp and goes into her bathroom with her robe on. Ross watches her as she leaves with a smile on his face, and gets up and goes after her. A shriek comes from the bathroom and Ross comes out all wet and laughing. Rachel comes out with a towel wrapped around her and mad.)
Rachel: What the hell was that? You scared the hell out of me!! I could have fallen!!
Ross: (laughing) Sorry I was just trying to help you get ready.
Rachel: Not while I am in the shower!!
(He keeps laughing and she goes back in the shower.)

~ Central Perk ~
[The gang is there, not Diane. They are sitting around talking and Ross walks in.]
Chandler: Hey man, where have you been all day?
Ross: (smiling still) Out shopping.
Monica: Shopping for what?
Ross: Stuff.
Joey: He’s happy; it must have been sex toys.
Ross: No, Jo.
Phoebe: Oh yeah, Diane called and she asked if you would like to go out for lunch at one, and she said if you do call her.
Ross: Ok thanks Pheebs, uh Chandler can you come here for a second?
Chandler: Sure.
(Ross leads Chandler to the phones, and pulls something out of his pocket.)
Chandler: What’s that?
Ross: Here open it.
(He hands it to Chandler and he opens it, his eyes get big and he looks at Ross and pulls the diamond necklace out of its case.)
Chandler: Wow Ross, you’re my best friend and all but I don’t think I can accept this. You see I don’t sway that way. (He puts it back in the case and hands it to Ross, who snatches it from him.)
Ross: It’s not for you stupid it’s for Rachel.
Chandler: Rachel?
Ross: Yes.
Chandler: Ross you barely know the girl, and you are buying her a diamond.
Ross: It’s a 3-karat.
Chandler: 3 Karats!!
Ross: Yes, what’s wrong?
Chandler: Ross you Ross, ok I-I, I just don’t want to see you hurt man.
Ross: I appreciate you help and worry but don’t, I have everything under control. Look I got to call Diane, make sure you tell Joey about the plan.
Chandler: Ok. (Under his breathe) You are so going to get caught. (He starts walking away, and Ross makes the call. He calls and someone picks up. This goes back and forth.)
Person: Hello?
Ross: Hey sweetie, you know how you wanted to go out to lunch?
Person: Yes. Can you?
Ross: No, I am so sorry I have to do some other stuff, Rach.
Rachel: What other stuff?
Ross: I need to run by my office. I got call my parents. It’s just a lot of stuff, and also I have you fix stuff up for tonight. What do you want to do?
Rachel: Let’s go out somewhere.
Ross: (uneasy) Or how about we go to your place and rent movies.
Rachel: (sarcastic) Wow! That is going to be so romantic.
Ross: Well it can be, I have a surprise for you.
Rachel: Ooh I can’t wait.
Ross: Your going to have to. Listen I have to go, see you tonight. Love you.
Rachel: I love you too. Bye.
Ross: Bye.
(He hangs up the phone then dials another number, and talks.)
Ross: Hello.
Person: Hi.
Ross: So…(Fades out.)

~ 8th Avenue ~
(A café type place, like a deli. Ross is there with Diane and they are about to leave. Ross is getting her coat on for her, while they start walking out.
Diane: It’s so sad that we can’t spend the night together. (She grabs Ross’ hand.)
Ross: I am sorry, it’s just the guys ask me if I could and I promised them.
Diane: I know, I’ll just sit at home and watch lifetime all night.
(She gives him the sad face and he looks sort of guilty, then he picks her up and spends her around and kisses her, not to deep. We are seeing this from a distance. Then we see it is Rachel looking at the, just walking out of a restaurant. She has a sad expression on her face and walks away. Then back to Ross and Diane, he breaks the kiss.)
Ross: I promise tomorrow night I am all yours.
Diane: Deal.
Ross: Deal. (Looks at his watch.) Ok I need to go back to work now. Do you want me to take you back?
Diane: No, I am fine you go.
Ross: Ok bye.
Diane: Bye.
(Ross hails a cab, gets in and drives away. Diane smiles to herself then walk away.)

~ Rachel’s Penthouse ~
(It’s around 8 o’clock and Rachel is in her room getting ready. She isn’t wearing anything to fancy just a jean skirt and a red halter-top, with a blue button up shirt over it. She puts on some perfume and fixes her hair a little. She looks at the clock and then goes down about ten steps to her living room. She fixes things in there and hears some people in the hall. She gets curious and opens her door and peeks out. Out there she sees a women knocking on her neighbors door. Then she sees Ross walking down the hall to her place and is about to run out and get him. But he stops when he sees the woman. Rachel gets a strange look on her face and is about to call him, but waits to see why he stopped. The woman then turns around and sees Ross standing there.)
Diane: Ross! What are you doing at Pauline’s, aren’t you supposed to be with Chandler and Joey?
(Ross looks around in a panic trying to find an excuse.)
Ross: Uh well..I-I Steve told me you were coming here so I came to get you.
Diane: Why?
Ross: (he’s breathing really hard) To tell you that Chandler and Joey canceled on me so I was going to spend time with, you.
Diane: Oh how sweet. (She leans in to kiss him and he sighs a relief. When she is about to kiss him she stops and looks in his hands and sees he is holding roses and the box, and points at them.) For whom are those?
Ross: Oh...these...are for um, Monica.
Diane: (a bit dejected) Oh.
Ross: Yeah she got promoted today.
Diane: Oh can I see what it is?
Ross: (sort of uneasy) Yeah sure.
(He gives her the box and she opens it and sees the necklace, and looks up at him.)
Diane: (astonished) Wow! This is a bit much don’t you think?
Ross: It’s her first promotion.
Diane: Still!
Ross: (getting a little upset) Hey she’s my sister.
Diane: I know. I am sorry honey. Hey, why don’t we go give it to her now then take her out to celebrate?
Ross: (sarcastic) Sure why not? (He thinks about Rachel.) Hon, why don’t you go down and get in the car, I will be there in a minute.
Diane: Where are you going?
Ross: To check the prices of these penthouses. I might want one.
Diane: (giggly) Ooh ok. (She starts walking down the hall. Rachel oh saw the whole thing closes her door fast knowing Ross is coming to talk to her. She locks it, and then runs into the kitchen. Ross who was in the hallway walks to Rachel’s door and knocks. Rachel waits two knocks then answers it. Ross looks at her and kisses her lips fast without a word, and goes inside.)
Ross: Hey.
Rachel: (She’s upset, but trying to act like she’s not) Hello.
Ross: Ok listen, I can stay but for five minutes. I got caught in some mess, but I brought you some things.
(He hands her the flowers and the box. She smells the flowers, and then puts them down on the table by the door. She looks at the box, opens it and looks shock by how beautiful it is. She looks at it then puts it back in the box and hands it to Ross.)
Ross: (confused) What are you doing?
Rachel: (upset still) I can’t take this.
Ross: Why not?
Rachel: Because I can’t. Now don’t you have to leave, I am sort of busy also.
Ross: (getting upset too) What? What’s wrong?
Rachel: (calm) Nothing
Ross: Are you mad at me for something?
Rachel: No. Now go.
Ross: What?
Rachel: (firm) Thank-you for the flowers. (She opens the door and he looks at her then starts walking out. He walks out of the building with a sad face, because he doesn’t know what he did. He gets in the car and Diane notices he is upset.)
Diane: What happen Hon?
Ross: I don’t know. (Diane looks at him like “What?” He realizes) Oh! It was too expensive.
Diane: Oh.
(Fades out on them driving away.)

~ Ross’ Office ~
(Ross is sitting a his desk thinking about what is wrong with Rachel.)
Ross: V.O. I wonder what is wrong with her?. Did I do something?… All I did was bring her a present…
She must have had a bad day. I can’t believe she wouldn’t take my present though. Maybe Chandler
Was right… (Pauses) Nah, Chandler’s never right. Maybe I should call her. Would that be a good thing
to do considering she is mad at something or me. Maybe she wants to break up with me.
(He sat at his desk for a little bit longer and thought then picked up his telephone. Cuts to Rachel in her dressing room. She is also thinking.)
Rachel: V.O. Should I be mad at him?… I am not mad at him. I am upset. Should I be upset,
because he is with his wife?… I don’t care that he is with he, I just don’t think he should have
to lie to me about it. I don’t know if we are in that place. I don’t know if I should tell him. I
mean he should have the right to be with her. Urgh!!! Oh god, and that necklace, it was so beautiful,
but he shouldn’t be buying me those nice things. Ahhh!!! Maybe we should just end this.

~ Rachel’s Studio ~
(Rachel is taking pictures and is almost about to go on a break. She looks tired, and is not really looking at the camera. She looks up for a minute sensing the presents of someone that shouldn’t be there. Just as she expected, she looked up and saw Ross. She didn’t know what to do, so she finished taking her pictures. The guy told Rachel she could take a fifteen-minute break, with that she walked away from all of the cameras and walked to the table and picked up some fruit. Ross saw that he was going to have to make the first move so he went and stood in front of her. She looked up at him with no face expression.)
Ross: Hey.
Rachel: (shyly) Hi.
Ross: Listen, can we talk?
Rachel: Uh yeah, sure. Let’s go to my dressing room.
Ross: Ok. (He followed her in her room, as she sits in her chair.)
Rachel: So? (she crosses her arms)
Ross: Ok. Let’s talk.
Rachel: (sarcastic) We’re talking.
Ross: Ok. I am a little confused. (pauses) Umm are you mad at me?
Rachel: (tired) No.
Ross: Are you sure, because I kind of got the feeling that you were upset with me last night. Is this because I cancelled our date?
Rachel: No. It was stupid ok.
Ross: What was stupid, why can’t you tell me? Aren’t we together? Couples aren’t supposed to keep secrets from each other.
(She gets over stressed because he keeps forcing her to talk, so she is just about to burst.)
Rachel: (raising her voice) Oh, we are supposed to tell each other everything?
Ross: Yes!
Rachel: Oh really?
Ross: Yes!
Rachel: (she gets more angry) Then why did you lie to me, twice.
Ross: (confused) What are you talking about?
Rachel: Yesterday you said you couldn’t come to lunch because you had things to work on, and last night you couldn’t go to dinner because something came up.
Ross: I did have things to do.
Rachel: Ross you lied because at lunchtime I saw you with your wife, and last night your wife was in my building and she saw you, so you went with her.
Ross: (realizing) Oh that. Look, I am sorry, I didn’t think you would care to know that I was with my wife.
Rachel: I don’t care about that. I just wish you wouldn’t have lied to me.
Ross: I am sorry, (pause) I promise to tell you the truth about everything.
Rachel: (still stressed) It’s not just that. (sighs) I think maybe...maybe we should just end whatever this is we have going on.
Ross: What? Why?!
Rachel: (She get a little teary eyed) Come on Ross. I saw how you and Diane were, you guys looked totally in love. And I don’t want to get in the way of that. (pauses and sniffs) Maybe what we are doing is just pure lust and spontaneous actions. I just don’t want to get hurt, or hurt anyone else.
Ross: (He says this really slow and emotionally) What? Rachel (He puts his hands on her face) No, It’s not just something. If it were just something I would not have come all the way down here to see what was wrong with you. I fell in love you. I just..I am confused. I just need time. Please Rachel, don’t break this off? You mean so much to me.
Rachel: I don’t know (He gives her his puppy dog look) Ok. (pause) Just promise me you won’t hurt me.
Ross: (He gets her hands) I promise.
Rachel: (She smiles weakly at him.) Ok. Thank you. (She give him a soft kiss on his lips.)
Ross: Oh I forgot. (He goes in his pocket and takes out the same box from the night before.) Here you go.
(Rachel looks at the box for a minute, then slowly takes it from Ross and opens it.)
Rachel: What is this?
Ross: A present. (She looks at him again, then looks down at it. Ross notices and gets worried.) What is it? What’s wrong? Do you not like it?
Rachel: No, I love it. I just can’t take it.
Ross: Why not?
Rachel: Because, You are not mine to claim, and I would feel bad if I took it.
Ross: But I bought it just for you. I bought a special necklace for a very special person.
Rachel: I just don’t feel right excepting gifts like this from a married man.
Ross: Ok, ok. You don’t have to take it.
Rachel: (she smiles at him again.) Thanks.
Ross: Sure. (He leans and gives her a very slow kiss.)
(Fades out)

~ Ross’ Office ~
(A week later. Ross and Chandler they are talking)
Chandler: Ross how’s everything going?
Ross: Everything is fine.
Chandler: Did she like the present?
Ross: No she wouldn’t take it. She said she wouldn’t feel right.
Chandler: Oh. So for how much longer are you going to continue this? (sarcastic) Are you going to take her to meet your parents and friends?
Ross: (laughs) Yeah right. (he gets serious) But, no. I am not sure. This is so hard.
Chandler: I told you.
Ross: Told me what?
Chandler: That..(There is a knock at the door. Ross goes to open it and it’s Rachel. His eyes pop out cause he is surprised)
Ross: Whoa, uh Rach. Wh-what are you doing here?
Rachel: I know it’s your lunchtime, so I brought food. (She holds up Chinese food. Chandler who has been sitting down appears in front of the door behind Ross.)
Chandler: Why helloo! (Rachel gets a little scared by his outburst and Ross turns and looks at Chandler.)
Ross: (quietly) What are you doing?
Chandler: (quiet also) I want to meet your girlfriend.
Ross: (He says it through his teeth) Why?
Chandler: (He speaks a little to loud) I want to see what I am hiding?
(Rachel looks at Ross confused)
Ross: He knows.
Rachel: Oh. Well uh, can I come in?
(He realizes their still in the hall)
Ross: Oh yeah.
(She walks in and sits the food down, and Chandler walks over to her and sticks out his hand.)
Chandler: Chandler Bing
Rachel: Rachel Green. (They shake hands) It’s nice to meet you.
Chandler: You too. (looks at Ross and smiles) Ross has told me so much about you.
Rachel: Really?
Chandler: Yes. He also told me your a model.
Rachel: Yeah I am. (smiles)
(Ross looks uncomfortable)
Ross: Ok Chandler don’t you think it’s time for you to leave?
Chandler: But I am talking.
Ross: Well we are about to eat.
Rachel: You can stay if you want, I brought a lot of food.
Chandler: Why thank you Rachel, I would love to.
(Rachel hands him a plate and starts taking out the food.)
Chandler: So Rachel, How long have you two been together?
Rachel: oh about (pauses) about a month and a half.
Chandler: (not believing) Wow! That is a long time.
Rachel: (smiles at Ross) Yeah.
(Ross again looks uncomfortable)
Ross: Ok Chandler you have some food, and get out.
Chandler: But I... (Ross gives him an evil look.) Ok I will leave. Bye Rachel and thanks for the food.
Rachel: Bye.
(He leaves and Rachel goes over and sits in Ross’ chair while Ross stands over the desk.)
Rachel: (all cutesy and playing around) Why did you make him leave?
Ross: (he looks at her.) He was bothering me.
Rachel: (looks at him like “yeah right”) He wasn’t even talking to you.
Ross: (says it like it’s obvious) That’s why!
Rachel: I like him. He’s nice, but he seems a little defensive.
Ross: His parents were divorced, he had a troubled life.
Rachel: (laughs) Oh. Anyway I was thinking. There is this new restaurant on 5th Avenue. Do you want to check it out tonight?
Ross: Oh I can’t. (She looks at him.) I am having dinner with the guys.
Rachel: Well they can come too. (He shoots her a look.) Is Diane going to be with them? (Ross shakes his head) Then they can come with us. I would love to meet your friends.
Ross: You want to meet my friends. (Rachel nods her head) Why?
Rachel: Because (She goes to him and puts her arms around his waist) I am your girlfriend and I want to see who….
Ross: (cutting her) Whom.
Rachel: (she lets go a sot laugh) Whom you are with when you aren’t with me.
Ross: (He looks at her) Rach, You know who I am with when I am not with you.
Rachel: I know you have your wife and Chandler, (pause) but I am tired of staying at my place all the time.
Ross: (getting a little touchy) We aren’t always at your place. (He waves his hands around as if telling her to look around.) We are in my office, aren’t we?
Rachel: (She shoots him a look) Ok, But all the other times we have been at my place. We can either order in, go get movies, or you bring something. (He looks at her and looks down. She sighs and looks hurt at him. softly) Are you ashamed of me?
Ross: What?
Rachel: (hurt) Are you ashamed to tell anyone we are together?
Ross: No, I am not ashamed.
Rachel: Then let me meet your friends?
Ross: Rach, I can’t.
Rachel: Then I can’t.
(She starts picking up the food and putting it in the bags.)
Ross: What are you doing?
Rachel: I am leaving.
Ross: Why?
Rachel: Because, your ashamed of me.
(She picks up the bags and her purse and brushes past Ross as he tries to grab her. She walks out and he calls after her.)
Ross: Rach? Rachel? Come on Rach?
(He goes back in his office and sits in his chair and sighs.)

~ Monica and Chandler’s apt. ~
(The gang is there with Diane. They are talking and watching Television, waiting on Chandler and Joey with the movies. Ross and Diane are sitting on the couch with Monica, and Phoebe is sitting in the chair.)
Monica: Diane have you pick the place for the party?
Diane: (she just lights up.) Oh yes, I found the place while Ross was away. It’s going to be in the Plaza’s Ballroom.
Monica: Whoa that going to be expensive. (She looks at Phoebe with a “can you believe her” Look.)
Diane: (She rubs Ross’ leg) Yeah I know.
Monica: Ross how are you going to pay for that?
Diane: Well, I talked to my Mother and she said she would be happy to pay for it.
Monica: Ohhh.
Phoebe: Your mom is very generous.
Diane: I know. When I told her about it she started naming all these places and we decided on that one. Then she was naming caterers and designs. It is just so wonderful.
Monica: (sarcastic) I bet it is. (She fake laughs)
Diane: Yes. Oh and Monica maybe you could come with us to pick out the menu.
Monica: (Still fake) Wow, that would be wonderful.
Phoebe: (She looks at Monica) And what are you doing in all of this Ross?
(Everyone looks at Ross, who has been tuned out through the whole conversation.)
Phoebe: Ross?
Monica: Ross?
Diane: ROSS?
(He blinks and looks at them.)
Ross: What?
Diane: Are you ok?
Ross: Uh yeah. I’m fine. I’m fine.
Diane: Ok. (She looks at her watch.) Oh look at the time. I have to go everyone.
Phoebe: Oh isn’t that a shame.
Diane: Yeah well I well see you all later.
Monica: Ok.
Diane: Ross, I won’t be home until eleven, Ok?
Ross: Sure. (She kisses his cheek as she picks up her purse.)
Diane: Smooches.
Phoebe: Oh right. (she kisses the air) Kiss, kiss.
(She leaves. Monica motions for Phoebe and they go into the kitchen. Ross turns and picks up the phone. We follow Phoebe though.)
Phoebe: What Mon?
Monica: (She looks upset) Oh my god. Did you see her?
Phoebe: Oh yes.
Monica: She just loves to flaunt her little name around doesn’t she.
Phoebe: Oh I hate her. I wonder why Ross married her.
Monica: Me too. We can’t tell him though, he loves her.
Phoebe: Sometimes I wish she would go back to hell where she came from.
(Monica looks at her surprised.)
Phoebe: Well that is where she is from. My Uncle when I was little showed me the waiting list to Hell.
(Monica shakes her head and goes to the couch, as Chandler and Joey come in. Chandler goes over to Ross, who is still on the phone.)
Chandler: (He says this a little too loud) Is that Rachel?
(Everyone looks at Ross, and he looks shocked at Chandler.)
Monica: Who is Rachel?
Chandler: Uh just uh someone.
Phoebe: Who someone? (Her eyes pop out) Oh my god! You have other friends?!
Ross: What?
Monica: Who is Rachel, Ross?
Chandler: She is just some girl he met in Greece. (Ross is about to flip out. He hangs up the telephone and stands up.)
Ross: (Through his teeth) That was not Rachel. (He looks at Chandler about to kill him.) It was my boss.
Joey: Who cares about your boss. Hell I want to know, who is Rachel?
Ross: Rachel is just a girl I met.
Monica: (suspicious) Then why would you be talking to her if she is in Greece.
Ross: She is not in Greece. She lives in New York.
Phoebe: Oh so you still talk to her?
Ross: (He starts to get nervous) Uh yeah.
Phoebe: Why?
Joey: Is she hot?
Ross: Hey!
Joey: What?
Monica: Yes Ross why do you still talk to her?
Ross: Is it wrong for us to have other friends. You guys have other friends, why can’t I?
Chandler: Yeah leave the man alone.
Monica: Ok, whatever. What movies did you get?
(Ross looks relieved and Chandler starts going through the bags. Ross walks over to Chandler about to kill him. Chandler sees Ross and starts to walk away, but Ross grabs him.)
Ross: What do you think your doing.
Chandler: Look Ross I am sorry. The stuff just kept coming out of my mouth I couldn’t shut up.
Ross: Fine what every, just don’t let it happen again.
Chandler: Sorry man. So how is everything?
Ross: Not so great, but nothing that can’t be fixed.
Chandler: Great. (He starts to walk away) Remember to invite me to the wedding. (Ross hears him and goes after him again. It fades out on them running around the room.)

~ Ross’ apt. ~
(He is there with the gang minus Diane, and he is on the telephone. He is in his bedroom though. He keeps picking it up and dialing, then hanging it up and picking it up and dialing again. It switches back and forth between them.)
Rachel: (She is upset) What do you want Ross?
Ross: (soflty) Rach?
Rachel: What?
Ross: I want to talk to you.
Rachel: Why?
Ross: (still softly) Can I just talk to you.
Rachel: (direct) Ok talk.
Ross: Not over the phone. Can I come to your house?
Rachel: No.
Ross: Then how am I going to see you?
Rachel: (sassy) Why don’t you figure it out.
Ross: Ok, ok. Why don’t you meet me at my office.
Rachel: How about I meet you at your place.
Ross: Uh no, we can’t do that.
Rachel: Why not?
Ross: Ok, look you can come over right now.
Rachel: Ok, I will be there in about 15 minutes. Bye
Ross: Bye.
(Twenty minutes later there is a knock at Ross’ door. He comes out of his bedroom and opens the door. He looks at Rachel and smiles, and gets her hand and leads her to the couch. He looks at her with an “I’m sorry” look and she just looks at him.)
Rachel: Ok I am here, what’s up.
Ross: Ok first, I am sorry I yelled at you.
Rachel: Ok.
Ross: Second, I am not ashamed of you. (He gets her hands)
Rachel: Oh really?
Ross: Yes. Ok, before I was a little not so sure about people knowing about us. Most people find it appalling when men or women have affairs, but they don’t know how much I love you, and I do not want my wife to find out.
Rachel: (she says this softly) Ok honey I understand that, I do, but can I just meet your close friends, you know the ones you always talk about. I really want to be apart of you life.
Ross: (He gives in) Ok. Tomorrow I will take you to meet my friends.
Rachel: (She leans forward and kisses him, then breaks) Thank you.
Ross: Anything for you. (He smiles at her.)
Rachel: Well I guess I better go before your wife comes home.
Ross: Yeah. I will call you. (He walks her to the door and kisses her, then she leaves.)

~ Central Perk ~
(The gang is there the next day. Again Diane is not there. They are sitting around drinking coffee and talking.)
Joey: You know you guys we should go on a vacation or something.
Monica: When did you think that up Joey?
Joey: (with a smile on his face) I was just thinking about how spring break is coming up.
Monica: Ok Joey your sick.
Chandler: (sarcastic) Anyway does anyone else have any stupid comments to make. Come on the floor is clear.
Ross: (He says this medium loud, but everyone hears.) I am having an affair. (Everyone looks at him like he is kidding. Chandler’s eyes pop out, and Joey starts to get real interesting.)
Chandler: I did not mean for anyone to make that stupid of a comment.
Monica: (she looks confused) Ross what are you talking about?
Ross: I am serious. I am having an affair. I met this girl in Greece.
Phoebe: Rachel?
Ross: Yes, and we have been together for a few months now.
Phoebe: Whoa!
Monica: (She kinda yells this to loud) Your having an affair?
(Ross jumps up and starts looking around.)
Ross: Monica, shut up.
Monica: I am sorry. This is just unbelievable.
Joey: Go Ross! (Everyone looks at him.)
Ross: Her name is Rachel Green.
Joey: (He gets really excited) Rachel Green. You mean the model?
Ross: Yeah.
Joey: The Ralph Lauren model?
Ross: Yes.
Joey: You mean the Victoria Secret girl?
Ross: (He starts getting frustrated) Yes Joey, yes, yes, yes.
Joey: (He goes off into a dream world) Wow.
Ross: Chandler and Kevin are the only ones who know about her.
Monica: (upset) You know Misses mystery girl, and you didn’t tell us?!
Chandler: (scared) I promised I wouldn’t tell.
Phoebe: And Ross! I can believe you would keep this from us, or that you would do this.
Ross: I can’t believe it either, but I love her.
Joey: What about Mistress Bitch?
Ross: Hey Joey!
Joey: Sorry. What about Diane?
Ross: I don’t know. I am still confused about all of this, but Rachel is great, and she wants to meet you guys.
Monica: She does?
Ross: Yes. So do you guys want to meet her?
Pho/Mon: Yes!
Ross: Wow, ok. I will bring her around tomorrow after our date. Oh man, I have to go.(He gets up about to leave. He still talks as he is walking toward the door.)
Monica: Ok. Bye.
Ross: Bye.
(They all take deep breathes and sit back in their chair and on the couch. They stay in silence for a few minutes. Monica breaks the silence)
Monica: I cannot believe he is having an affair, and after all this time.
Phoebe: I know. This is too huge.
Monica: (Turns to Chandler) So Chandler, How is she? Is she nice?
Joey: Yeah, and is she hot?
Chandler: (He looks at Joey, but ignores him and turns to Monica) Yeah she is really nice, I was going to talk to her more, but Ross kicked me out of his office.
Monica: Great. I cannot wait! I hope I like her so Ross will divorce Diane and marry her.
Phoebe: Yeah. (They both go into a little dream world, leaving Chandler. So he gets up and walks out.)

~ Rachel’s Penthouse ~
(Ross walks in and sees no one there so he walks into the kitchen with food. He sees Rachel there with her back to him doing the dishes, and walks to her and starts kissing her neck. She smiles but, backs away from him though, to talk.)
Rachel: Hello.
Ross: Oh, I am so sorry. Excuse my behavior. (He kisses her lips softly) How are you doing?
Rachel: (she smiles) Fine. What brings you here so early? (He wraps his arms around her again, and backs her into the counter.)
Ross: Well (kiss) I got off (kiss) early (kiss) so I thought I would bring us dinner.
Rachel: Oh. Are you going to stay?
Ross: Yes, but only for a little bit. I am having dinner with my parents and sister. Oh yes, I told them.
Rachel: Told who? what?
Ross: I told my friends about you, and I am taking you to meet them tomorrow.
Rachel: Really?
Ross: Really. They cannot wait.
Rachel: Thank you (kisses his lips longingly) Well we better eat fast then..
Ross: Yeah we should. (He is just about to kiss her, but she lets him go and goes toward the food.)
Rachel: Do you want any or is this just for me?
Ross: (He looks at her) What are you doing?
Rachel: (She sits down at her table) Eating.
Ross: (speechless) But I thought.
Rachel: What? I thought you came to bring me dinner.
Ross: I did but, I-I thought..
Rachel: (cutting him, bluntly) That we could have sex instead.
Ross: (trying to defend himself) Th-that is not what I thought was (She gets up and puts her arms around him and starts to move them all over him and leads him into the living room. She stops kissing him and looks him in the eyes.) that maybe we-we could.
Rachel: Could what?
Ross: Have fun. (She smiles at him and they start to kiss. Slowly they lay down on the couch, and it gets more intimate. Fades out.)

~ Ross’ apt. ~
(Later that night. After coming from Rachel’s, Ross went straight home. Diane and her friends Lesley and Jordan are there, planning her party. Ross walks in trying not to be noticed by his wife’s friends. His clothes are a little disheveled, but not that noticeable. He walks over to Diane and kisses her on her cheek.)
Ross: Hello honey.
Diane: Hi Ross. (The girls look at Diane) Oh Ross, you remember Lesley and Jordan right?
Ross: Uh yeah I do. Hello (He leans forward and shakes their hands.) Nice to see you again.
Lesley: Likewise. (Ross starts to walk back to his room, and the girls look after him)
Jordan: Ross, is so sweet Diane, you are so lucky.
Lesley: Yeah you are. Most men nowadays are on drugs, in denial, or cheating. But Ross is so great.
Diane: Yes he is. (She looks toward her room and then gets up.) I will be right back.
(She walks in her room while Ross is just getting out of the shower. (Mell: Yeah I know, I think I am obsessed with him being in a towel. Hehe) Anyway he looks at her and she goes up to him and kisses him gently on the lips and hugs him. He looks at her confused.)
Ross: Hey. What was that for?
Diane: For being such a great and wonderful husband.
Ross: (he looks down) Yeah well, thank you. (He looks at her, and strokes her cheek) I love you.
Diane: I love you too. (They take their arms off each other) So, did you already eat?
Ross: (He thinks if he should say he did or not.) Uh no I didn’t. I am starved.
Diane: Good, because we are going out in five minutes. I will bring you something back.
Ross: Ok.
Diane: But when I come back you better not be sleeping, (she says this kinda sexy) I want to spend some time with you.
Ross: Ok. I won’t.
Diane: Good. (She is about to walk out)
Ross: Oh by the way.
Diane: (she turns around) What?
Ross: Tomorrow what are you going to be doing?
Diane: Well, I am going in to work early, having lunch with Jordan, then I am having dinner with my mother. You said you didn’t want to come remember.
Ross: (trying to play it off) Oh yeah right. Ok well I am just going to go out with the gang.
Diane: Ok. (she walks out, and Ross smiles after her)

~ Ross’ apt. ~
(Ross is there in his room walking around with the telephone. He is getting dressed for work.)
Ross: Are you sure you want to meet them?
Rachel: Yes Ross.
Ross: I will get you at Six o’clock and we will go to Monica’s.
Rachel: Thanks again. This really means a lot to me.
Ross: Your more than welcome. (He sighs) I miss you.
Rachel: Aww, I miss you too. I miss your hands too.
Ross: I miss your body. (Pause) What are you wearing?
(Rachel giggles, and Ross laughs a little. There are keys jingling in the door, but Ross doesn’t hear them. Diane walks in and sees Ross on the phone, and quietly walks in their room. She puts her arms around him and he jumps, and turns around.)
Ross: Oh my god! You scared the hell out of me.
Diane: (laughing) Sorry.
(He gets out of her grasp and puts his hands over the phone, but Rachel can still hear)
Ross: What are you doing home?
Diane: (She looks offended) What? I can not come home?
Ross: No. I just didn’t know you were coming home. I thought you were going out with Jordan.
Diane: I am I just stopped by to pick up some things we are picking out for the party.
Ross: Oh.
Diane: (she points to the telephone) Who is that?
Ross: Oh, it’s just Kevin.
Diane: Oh, let me talk to him. (She grabs the phone before he can protest.) Hey buddy, longtime no see. (silence) I have not seen you since you and Ross left. How are you doing.
(Rachel doesn’t answer, and hangs up and Diane looks at Ross weird. She hangs up the phone.)
Diane: He hung up.
Ross: Oh uh, maybe he had to go. He is has been really busy lately.
Diane: Really? (Ross nods) You would think since you guys just got back they would give him a break also.
Ross: Yeah. (He finishes putting on all of his clothes and walks to Diane and kisses her cheek) Listen, I have to go. See you later, ok.
Diane: Ok. Bye. (He leaves)

~ Monica & Chandler’s apt. ~
(The gang is there except Ross, Rachel, and Diane. They are all sitting around waiting for Ross and Rachel to get there, so they can eat.)
Monica: Do you think she is a nice person?
Phoebe: I don’t know, but anything is better than Diane.
Monica: Of course.
Joey: Hell I don’t care if she’s ugly, fat, or a Jew. Hell I’m hungry. When are they coming.
Chandler: Well spoken Joe.
Monica: Joey hold your horses, they will get here.
Chandler: Ross probably tried to get in a quickie.
(Monica glares at him.)
Phoebe: You know he is probably right.
Monica: Shut up you guys.
(She gets up to check the time, and Ross walks in with Rachel behind him. She looks very uncomfortable, but she is happy to finally meet them. She recognizes them automatically. Of course she already knew who Chandler was. Monica looked like Ross, and was very forward as coming to meet her.)
Monica: Hi, I am Monica Bing. (She points to Chandler) This is my husband Chandler.
(They shake hand)
Rachel: Nice to meet you. And Chandler, (waves) hello again.
Monica: You already know each other right?
Rachel: Uh yes, We meet at Ross’ job.
(Monica lightly slaps Chandler)
Monica: I still can’t believe you didn’t tell me?
Chandler: (like a little child) Ross told me not to.
(Ross pushes Monica and Chandler aside and takes Rachel over to Phoebe and Joey.)
Ross: Rachel, this is Phoebe Buffay and Joey Tribianni.
Rachel: Nice to meet you.
Joey: How you doin?
Ross: Joey!
(She shakes hands with Joey, but Phoebe hugs her. She gets a little scared, but thinks of what Ross told her about his friends and smiles. Ross makes Phoebe let her go and takes her to the table by Chandler and Monica)
Ross: Alright. We are sorry were late. Can we go eat now?
Monica: Yes ok let’s go.
(Ross grabs Rachel’s hand and leads her out and the rest follow.)

~ Rachel’s penthouse ~
(Ross is there with Rachel. It is about noon and they are watching a movie, cuddling and talking.)
Ross: This is very stupid movie.
Rachel: Ok. How many times must we go through this? I am a guy you are a girl, we like different things.
Ross: (He looks back at the screen) Yeah I noticed. (He pulls his hand from around her back and picks up his drink, while talking.) So did you enjoy yourself last night?
Rachel: (She looks at him) Yeah, I loved it. Your friends are so great. (She kisses him) They are a little weird though.
Ross: Yes, I know that too.
Rachel: I think it is so cute how close you all are to each other.
Ross: Yeah. (He starts watching the Television again. Rachel sits up and thinks)
Rachel: (looks at him) Ross?
Ross: (He's still watching the T.V.) What?
Rachel: Look at me. (He turns and looks at her.)
Ross: Yes sweetie?
Rachel: (quietly and uneasy) Do they uh, do they like me?
Ross: (confused) Who?
Rachel: Your friends.
Ross: Uh, I don't really know. I haven't talked to them since last night. But they seemed to be having a good time also.
Rachel: Good. (She sits back and smiles)
Ross: (He sits back with her) Why do you care so much?
Rachel: Because, I want to make a good impression with your friends if we are going to be together.
(He looks down and then up at her, thinking about his wife. She looks at him confused, so he tries to play it off)
Ross: Rachel, they like me trust you. (laughs) Besides who wouldn't.
(He pulls her into a hug and starts kissing her neck. She giggles and picks up the remote and turns off the T.V. as they lay down (And were gone)

~ 5th Avenue ~
(Rachel and Monica are shopping in Saks. They are by the shoes, trying them on.)
Rachel: Monica? (She looks at her) I hope I don’t sound crazy or anything but, are you just doing this as a favor to Ross? I know that sounds scary, but I really want you and your friends to like me, because I love Ross and I don't want anything to break us up.
Monica: (She laughs a bit) No, it's fine. I do really like you. I am not just doing this as a favor to Ross. I would never go shopping with anyone I didn’t like, unless they could buy me things.
(They laugh)
Rachel: (sighs) That’s good to know.
Monica: Can I ask you something also?
Rachel: Sure, anything.
Monica: How is it between my brother and you? (Rachel looks at her confused) I mean you are having an affair and all. How can you do that?
(Rachel looks at her a bit taken back. She wasn’t expecting something so blunt.)
Rachel: Well uh, h-he, we are just together.
Monica: I know that. But doesn’t it bother you that he is married?
Rachel: Uh yeah it does, but I really like him and I want to be with him. It’s not like I knew he was married.
Monica: (shocked) You didn’t know he was married?
Rachel: Well no, at first. He never told me. So I assumed I was with a single guy.
Monica: Ohh.
Rachel: When I found out we had been dating for about two weeks. So it was hard to just let such a great guy go, so I asked him to continue to be with me. Don’t get me wrong I am not a slut or something. I just really like your brother. (She takes a deep breathe) Sometimes I just want to tell him it’s over, because I know that in the end. He is still married and committed to another person. (She starts to get teary eyed)
(Monica has a look of shock on her face)
Monica: Wow. (She fans her hands in front of her face.) I didn’t know you guys were that serious. I thought you two were just messing around.
Rachel: (She wipes her eyes and laughs) Yeah. And I cannot believe I started cry to a complete stranger.
Monica: Yeah, I know.
(They both laugh again, and go on trying on shoes.)

~ Central Perk ~
(Monica and Rachel just arrived there with thousands of shopping bags, and are getting coffee.)
Monica: What kind of coffee do you want Rach?
(Rachel goes and sits down on the sofa.)
Rachel: A Mocha Latté.
Monica: Coming right up. (Monica goes to the counter and starts ordering things, when Chandler and Ross come in. They don’t see Rachel, but they see Monica.)
Chandler: Hey Mon!
Ross: Hey.
Rachel: Hey don’t I get a Hello.
(Ross and Chandler turn to the sofa and see Rachel there. Ross looks annoyed and surprised, Chandler sees it, so he goes over where Monica is. Ross sits down next to Rachel.)
Ross: Hey.
Rachel: Hey. (She leans over and kisses him softly on the lips.)
Ross: (as he breaks) Wh-What are you doing here?
Rachel: (She looks confused) I am here with Monica. (She points.)
Ross: (He looks at her for a second as Monica and Chandler come over and sit.) You are here with Monica?
Rachel: Yes.
Monica: Here you go Rach.
(Monica reaches over Ross and hands Rachel her drink.)
Rachel: Thanks. (She starts mixing it with her straw, but Ross grabs her hand, which makes her looks at him.)
Ross: (a little upset) Why?
(She looks at him like he is crazy and makes him let go of her hand.)
Rachel: (quiet) What are you doing Ross?
Ross: Why are you here? (He does hand motions.) With Monica. (He points to her.)
Rachel: What do you mean?
Ross: Why are you here in Central Perk with my sister?
(Monica and Chandler are totally confused and Rachel is getting upset.)
Rachel: We are getting coffee. The same thing you are doing.
Ross: Why is Monica with you?
Monica: (she says this like “what’s the deal?”) We went shopping together Ross.
Ross: (Like he can’t believe what he just heard) You-you, The two of you went “Shopping” (does the finger quotes) together.
Monica: Yes Ross. What’s wrong with that?
Ross: (calming down, but still upset) Nothing. Nothing, there is absolutely nothing wrong with this. (To Rachel) Nothing. I am sorry. There is nothing wrong. (He gets up and goes to the counter. Rachel and Monica look at Chandler and he just shrugs.)
Chandler: I don’t know what’s with him. He was fine before we got here.
(Rachel looks at Ross’, who is ordering coffee and gets this suspicious look.)

~ Ross’ apt. ~
(Ross is just getting home. He goes into his apartment to find it dark. He goes and drops his stuff on the table and plops down on it. Diane comes out of their room, and comes from behind Ross. He looks and smiles weakly at her. She smiles wide, moves toward him and hugs him. She starts to try to mess around with him, but he pushes her away.)
Ross: Hey. Not now, come on.
(She looks at him hurt)
Diane: What’s wrong Ross?
Ross: (upset) Nothing, I just don’t feel like messing around.
Diane: Well, when are you going to feel like doing stuff?
Ross: I don’t know. Just not right now. (He gets up and walks in their room, and she follows.)
Diane: (concerned) what’s going on Ross?
(He looks at her as he sits on the bed.)
Ross: (upset still) What are you talking about?
Diane: (softly) What is wrong with you lately? Did I something. Because lately its seems like you do not want to be around me. You hardly kiss me or talk to me.
Ross: Look Diane it’s nothing. I am having a hard time at work.
Diane: Are you going to be fired?
Ross: (He starts to yell) No! It’s just problems.
Diane: Well tell me them!
Ross: There is nothing you can do about them!
(She looks at him hurt and his expression doesn’t change)
Diane: (calm) Ross. I just want to help you, so we can work past this difficulty.
Ross: Well there is nothing you can do.
Diane: (getting really angry) Ross we are married. We are supposed to share our problems. We have been married for four years. I thought you knew what to do in one!
Ross: I do know what to do in one. Maybe I am just tired of this one!
(He gets up and walks to the bathroom and slams the door. Diane looks after him hurt)

~ Rachel’s penthouse ~
(Rachel opens her door and sees Ross there. She kisses him, and pulls his collar and drags him inside. He breaks the kiss and gets a serious look. Rachel doesn’t notice it and walks into her living room.)
Rachel: I am so glad you came today, because I have to go out of town and I won’t be back until tomorrow afternoon, so I am happy to see you before I go.
(He follows her and they sit down together. Rachel then turns to Ross and sees his face.)
Rachel: What’s wrongs honey. (She touches to sides of his face, but he takes them off.)
Ross: Look, I need to talk to you.
Rachel: (worried) Ok. What’s wrong?
Ross: I need a favor from you.
Rachel: (getting anxious) What is it Ross?
Ross: I want you to not see Monica anymore. (Rachel looks at him like “What?”)
Rachel: (confused) What are you talking about Ross?
Ross: I checked an I don’t think that you and Monica should hang out like that.
Rachel: Like what?
Ross: Together.
Rachel: Why not?
Ross: Because I don’t like it. What if you two get caught?
Rachel: (offensive) How will we get caught? We just went shopping. I don’t understand what is wrong with that.
Ross: I just don’t want you two to get to close be...
Rachel: (she cuts him) Because we might break up.
Ross: N-No. I just it-it’s hard to explain Rach. Can you just stop with the whole, “Oh, Let’s be friends.” (He does the quote things again.)
Rachel: (She gets angry) I can’t believe you are asking me this!
Ross: Rachel, it’s not like you were that close!
Rachel: Ross what is wrong with your friends knowing?!
Ross: Because I don’t want the world to know!
Rachel: (She calms down a bit) Most boyfriends wouldn’t have a problem with that.
Ross: (They starts yelling) I am not most boyfriends, I have a wife!!
Rachel: Hey! Don’t yell at me!
Ross: I am not yelling. I am just telling you I have a life to live. Everything in it cannot be centered around you.
Rachel: (stressed) I am not asking that. (softly) I just want to be apart of your life.
Ross: (Looking at her and getting her hands) You are apart of it.
Rachel: (She takes her hands away) God Ross, I don’t want to be a-a secret!! (She breathes in and sighs) If you have to hide me, and sneak around to see me, than I am not apart of your life. If people don’t know me or know of me, I am not apart of your life. You can do this anymore. (She starts crying) You-you cannot keep me in the corner for you and use me as a relieve from your wife. You can’t have both. You can’t keep this up. Stop messing around with me. I am a person, I have feelings. I-I gave you a chance to think. What is it going to be Ross?
(He looks at her sad.)
Ross: Rach. I know you gave me time, but I really need just a bit more. (Rachel looks at him sad) I promise I will make a choice.
Rachel: You better Ross. (He smiles and hugs her.)
Ross: Thanks. (pause) I am sorry Rach. (She breaks the hug and looks at him.)
Rachel: For what?
Ross: For the Monica thing. I guess I was just jealous.
Rachel: (She picks up his hands and plays with them.) Aww. There is no need to get jealous. I am not going to turn into a lesbian.
(She gets up and runs to her bedroom laughing, and Ross starts going after her. We stay in the living room and hear a scream.)

~ Knick’s Game ~
Two weeks later
(Ross, Rachel, and Monica and Chandler are arriving at the seats at the game. They sit in this order. Ross on the aisle next to Rachel, the Monica and Chandler.)
Monica: Ross again why did you bring us to this game?
Ross: Because Joey could not come and we had two extra tickets.
Monica: Great. (To Rachel) We’re his second choice.
(Ross glares at Monica. Rachel turns around and looks at him and he smiles. She nudges him in the side with her elbow.)
Rachel: (to Ross) I saw that. (back to Monica) Besides being a second choice. I kinda like this.
Monica: (she looks bitter) Really?
Rachel: Yeah. It’s all so exciting. There thousands of people and the players.
Chandler: (continues after her) The spit wads, the drunks, the nosebleeders.
Ross: Shut up Chandler. (to Monica) See Mon, she likes it so leave her alone. (He puts his arm around Rachel) Look the games about to start.
(The game goes on. Monica, Chandler, and Ross end up yelling at the players, which Rachel gets a kick out of. Ross and Monica get in a fight over which team wins, and Rachel sees how competitive each one is. Later it’s the end of the 3rd quarter. Rachel, who looks disturbed starts to nudge at Ross.)
Rachel: Ross? Ross? (She grabs his face and kisses him hard. Basically sticking her tongue down his throat. He comes to her full attention now.)
Ross: Yes Sweetie?
Rachel: (smiles) Can you go get me something to drink. I am dying of thirst.
(He looks at her and then the game and cringes. He stands up and stretches.)
Ross: What do you want?
Rachel: A Sprite would be fine. Thank-you.
Ross: (He smiles at her, then leaves. That grabs Monica’s attention off the game.)
Monica: Where is he going?
Rachel: To get me something to drink.
Monica: Oh. (She turns her attention back to the game as Ross comes back. He is about to hand Rachel her drink when someone taps his shoulder. He turns and sees a chubbie girl, about twenty.)
Gery: Oh my god! Ross! It has been so long since I have seen you. (She jumps on him and hugs him, this draws Rachel’s attention. They break though, but Rachel stares on wondering who the girl was.)
Ross: (he thinks for a minute) Gery?
Gery: That’s right. How is Diane?
Ross: (he looks at Rachel) She is...she’s fine. Good.
Gery: Great. (she looks past Ross and sees everyone.) So who are you here with?
Ross: (he turns to his friends and points them out.) That is my friend and brother-in-law, Chandler. That is my sister, Monica. And this is my friend, Rachel.
(They all wave except Rachel. Ross turns back to Gery.)
Ross: Well Ger, tell the family Diane and I said hello and I guess I will see you later.
Gery: Ok. Bye Ross.
(She walks away and Ross sits down and looks at Rachel. She looks at the game pretending to not notice him. He knows what she is doing, so he grabs her hand, which makes her turn around. He mouths I’m sorry and she looks back at the game. He sits back and sighs.)

~ Saks Fifth Avenue ~
(Rachel and Monica are walking around looking at the new clothes and talking about their lives.)
Monica: You know Rachel. (Rachel turns to her.) I have known you for like I don’t know how long, but a long time now. (They laugh a little.) The thing is I really don’t know much about you. I mean besides the fact that you are a twenty *** year old model and are dating my brother, and where you live and all. I mean what about you? (Monica lightly nudges her arm.)
Rachel: (laughs lightly) Well there isn’t that much about me.
Monica: Well what about your family?
Rachel: Oh them. Yeah. Ok. They are shallow-rich-snobs. My mother and father are divorced. My dad is a country club gal. She came from money and found more money. My dad he is a Neurosurgeon with a Ph. D. I have 2 others sisters. One older, Taylor, and one younger, Jill. We don’t talk much. We are all spoiler little brats. I lived on Long Island. Ross told me you guys grew up there also.
Monica: Yeah we did. We didn’t have all that money, but we lived there. Oh I bet you Ross already mention to you that I was fat in my younger days.
(Rachel tries not to laugh, but fails.)
Rachel: Yeah he made sure not to leave that part out.
(They continue to laugh and walk on. They go to the lingerie department, and start looking at stuff there. Rachel picks up a silky three-piece set. It has a bra and panties, with a slip like covering. She puts it up to her body.)
Rachel: Do you think Ross will like this?
Monica: Oh yeah. He will like you in anything you wear. (They laugh and pick up other things.) I am really glad, even under these circumstances, that you are with my brother. I hate his wife and well we all do.
Rachel: Thanks. I like him also.
Monica: I bet you do. I see eve...(she gets cut off)
Diane: Monica!!
(Monica and Rachel both turn around frighten at first, Then surprised to see Diane they can’t get a word out. Diane rushes up to Monica and hugs her.)
Diane: Oh my, I have not seen you in almost a month. That is a shame since we are family and all.
Monica: Yes, such a shame.
(They start fake laughing. Then Diane looks at Rachel.)
Diane: Who is your new friend Monica? I have never seen her before.
(Rachel gives Diane a snobbish look.)
Monica: Oh. Diane this is Rachel. Rachel this is Diane. (They shake hands)
Diane: Nice to meet you.
Rachel: Likewise.
Diane: So, Monica and Rachel. Where did you two meet?
Monica: At Central Perk.
Diane: Oh. So you must know the rest of them. They all hang out there as if they have nothing better to do.
(Monica looks like she is about to kill Diane.)
Monica: As a matter-of-fact they do.
Diane: Oh, so you must know my husband. He is Ross. Monica’s brother.
(She finally speaks up.)
Rachel: (she is a little upset) Yeah I know him. Funny he has never mentioned you.
(Diane notices Rachel’s look, and looks at Monica.)
Diane: Well, I guess I better go then. Nice meeting you, Rachel.
(Rachel smiles fake and so does Monica. Once she is gone Monica turns to Rachel.)
Monica: (Happy) Wow! I can’t believe you did that Rachel. (imitating her) “Yeah I know him. Funny he has never mentioned you.” Gosh, if I could have just taken a picture of her face.
Rachel: Well she deserved it.
Monica: Yeah she did. I hope she doesn’t tell Ross.
Rachel: (worried) Oh my god. I hope she doesn’t.
Monica: (she looks at her sad) She probably will.
Rachel: Be prepared for a fight.
(Monica hugs Rachel and they start walking to the register.)

~ Monica & Chandler’s apt. ~
(Monica, Rachel and Chandler are there. Monica and Rachel are sitting at the table talking and Chandler is on the couch watching the television. Ross comes in looking pissed. Monica and Rachel look at each other worried. Ross looks at them both and walks over to the back of the couch.)
Rachel: Ross? Are y-you ok?
Ross: Oh no you don’t! (she looks a little scared.) I am talking right now.
(Monica and Rachel look at each other scared.)
Monica: Ross? Is there something wrong?
(Ross turns and gives Monica a death stare. Monica recoils. Ross starts pacing back and forth between Monica and Rachel.)
Rachel: (quietly) Ross?
Ross: (he is upset) Ok. Let me get this straight. The two of you, (He points to Monica and Rachel.) went shopping together today?
Monica: Yes. Yeah we did.
Ross: (He looks at Rachel.)
Rachel: Yeah we...we uh ...did.
Ross: (he is trying to stay calm.) Ok. I get that. Even though you two do know how I feel about you together all the time.
Monica: Ross what’s wrong? We just went shopping together, it’s not like we did something wrong. You said you were fine with it.
Ross: I am ok with the shopping, but the meeting of my wife and insulting her, I am not ok with!
(Rachel looks down then up at Ross.)
Rachel: (softly) Ross…
Ross: No! (He looks her dead in the eyes.) I am not through yet.
(Chandler who has been sitting there unnoticed ducks down to the ground to listen, and not be seen.)
Monica: (getting upset) We did not insult her!
Ross: Oh ok Mon, Then what do you call this. (he makes sound like Rachel’s) “Yeah I know him. Funny he has never mentioned you.” (He looks at Rachel) Now from where I am standing, I could that insulting.
First, (to Monica) Why did you even introduce them? (back to Rachel) Second, Why did you even speak to her? (to both) Third, why did you insult her?
(Rachel looks down again)
Monica: Ross! Because, it would have been rude not to introduce her, and what was Rachel just suppose to stand there. That would have been insulting, and Diane got what she deserved. She was saying all these unnecessary things. She always does. I am glad someone finally put her down.
Ross: (He looks really mad now.) Do you not like Diane?
Monica: I am just going to shut up.
Ross: (He glares at Monica) No! Tell me!
Monica: (like she is annoyed with him) Ross just don’t.
Ross: Just tell me. Do you or….
(Rachel cuts him)
Rachel: Ross, Just leave her alone. She said she doesn’t want to talk anymore.
Ross: Oh, I am so sorry. Is her counterpart going to speak now? Is her best friend going to speak?
(Rachel gives Ross a glare that “if looks could kill”)
Rachel: (she is now angry) Yes Ross, I am speaking now. Your wife was being so rude and obnoxious to Monica. So I just retaliated it. If she wants to be a bitch, then I can be one too.
Ross: You had no right to even speak to her. What if she would have found out?
Rachel: She didn’t! And is that all you care about? The fact that your precious wife was going find out that you are having an affair?
Ross: Rachel…
Rachel: No! It’s my turn now. (She gets up and stand right in front of him.) You have no right yelling at Monica and I over the fact that your wife is a Bitch!
Ross: Hey! (That scares Rachel and she sorta steps back) You don’t even know one thing about her, so don’t you dare call her that!
Monica: (she is getting real mad at how he is acting on Rachel.) Hey don’t yell at her. Don’t blame this on her. It is me who doesn’t like your wife.
(Ross and Rachel, both look at her.)
Ross: Mon, just stay out of this now. This is between Rachel and I.
(He turns back to Rachel, she looks like she is about to burst out crying)
Rachel: (she is trying hard not to cry. She is sniffing. She says this quietly) I cannot believe you are taking her side in this. (silence. ) You know what, I am going to go. (She gets her bags and leaves without looking back. Monica looks at Ross and shakes her head. Ross looks at her then down, knowing he messed up.)

~ Rachel’s Penthouse ~
Next Day
(Rachel is sitting on her bed, looking through a magazine. She hears a sound down her stairs and goes to see who has entered her house. She walks down, and much to her surprise, it’s Ross. She looks at him and he looks at her with his famous puppy eyes. She walks into her living room and sits on her sofa. He follows her and sits on her coffee table)
Ross: (scared of her reaction) Rach.
Rachel: What?
Ross: (softly) You know I am sorry.
(Rachel gets up and walks behind the sofa and grabs the back of it. Ross looks up at her.)
Rachel: Ross that is all you ever are anymore.
Ross: Rachel…
Rachel: (cutting him) No, Ross. I don’t get it. Why do you just let Diane control you? Why do you let her insult your friends and your family? I know I was out of place insulting her, but I was just taking up for your sister.
(He gets up and goes around to her.)
Ross: I know that, and I am sorry. I was-was just afraid of her finding out what has been going on.
Rachel: (she sighs) How could she Ross? No one was going to tell her.
Ross: By her knowing you, that puts a risk on us, (pauses) and I don’t want that.
Rachel: I don’t want that either but, you and me,...what’s going on?
Ross: You have already asked me this Rachel.
Rachel: I know, I want a answer now. I have given you time, a whole lot of time.
Ross: Rach, don’t do this.
Rachel: I have to. We can’t keep sneaking around like this.
(Ross grabs Rachel’s hands and pulls her close to him. She sighs and just lets hold her)
Ross: (he says this real soft) Do me a favor, please?
Rachel: What?
Ross: (still soft) Give me until my anniversary dinner.
Rachel: (confused) What?
(He pulls out of the hug and pulls her to the sofa and sits down and pulls her down.)
Ross: There is only two days till my anniversary. Diane just went out of town to set some stuff up. She will be back the day of the party. I will give you my answer after that, because she put a lot of money in it, and if I break her heart, I just want her to aleast have her party.
Rachel: Ok. (She goes to kiss him, but then backs away) But only until then.
Ross: Yes Madame.
(Rachel smiles weakly and they lean in and kiss.)

~ Ross’ Apt. ~
Next Day
(Ross is walking around his room with the phone in his hands. He again is in his boxers.)
Ross: So what has been going on with you?
Kevin: Nothing much man. Just spending my check.
Ross: You liked the zeros’ on that one didn’t you?
Kevin: Oh yeah. The ladies seem to love them too.
Ross: I bet they do Kev.
Kevin: So how’s the gang?
Ross: Their all good. Doing fine.
Kevin: That’s great.
Ross: Yeah. I-I uh let Rachel meet them.
Kevin: You did what?!
Ross: I let Rachel meet them.
Kevin: You and Rachel are still together?
Ross: Yes.
Kevin: I though you were just….you know. Doin her, then screwin her.
Ross: Kevin, I am not you. I actually love her.
Kevin: What about Diane?
Ross: I love her too.
Kevin: Ross, you can’t love two women even I know that.
Ross: Well you ar..(Ross’ phone beeps) Uh Kevin, hold on. (He clicks over) hello?
Rachel: (she sounds quiet) Hey you.
Ross: Oh hey. What’s up?
Rachel: Nothing I just wanted to talk to you.
Ross: Oh ok, hold on.
(We switch over to Rachel now, and she is on her bed with a planner in her lap counting.)
Ross: Hello?
(Rachel jumps drops the phone, but picks it up in a hurry.)
Rachel: Ross? Ross?
Ross: I am here. What happen?
Rachel: Oh. I dropped the phone.
Ross: Oh. So what is it that you wanted to talk to me about?
Rachel: I want to see you.
(While she is talking to him, she is gets this shocked look on her face.)
Ross: Ok, do you want to come over? (silence) Rach?
Rachel: (she comes out of her daze) What?
Ross: I said do you want to come over? Is everything ok?
Rachel: Uh yeah, yeah. (Pauses) And uh, can you come over here?
Ross: Why don’t you wan tot come to my place?
Rachel: I don’t feel good over there.
Ross: Come on. She is not even home. She won’t be back until tomorrow. You can leave before then. (silence) Please?
Rachel: OK.
Ross: Great, I will see you in little bit.
(They hang up the phone. We stay with Rachel. She stands up and picks up her planner and just stares at it. After a few minutes, she shakes her head and leaves her room.)
(Now back to Ross’. It is later now. Ross is in his kitchen, he hears a knock at the door and goes and opens it. It’s of course Rachel. She walks in and kisses him. He wraps his arms around her waste, and they fall on the couch and share small kisses, then Rachel breaks out of breathe.)
Rachel: (Breathing heavy) I…need..water.
Ross: (laughing) Ok.
(Ross gets off her and goes into the kitchen. She sits up and starts thinking. She goes into a daze. Ross walks out of the kitchen and puts the glass in Rachel’s face. She doesn’t response to it, so he bends over and looks at her.)
Ross: Rach?
(She comes out of her daze)
Rachel: Uh?
(He sits down next to her, and puts the glass in her hands.)
Ross: Are you sure you are fine?
Rachel: Yes! (he looks down) Sorry, I have been in a daze a little, but I am fine. I was just thinking.
(He gets all close to her and puts the cup on the table then pulls her down on him)
Ross: Oh yeah. What are you thinkin’ about?
Rachel: (She gets up really close to his face, they are a centimeter away from kissing) You.
(Ross kisses her slowly and then things start to get deeper. Ross slides his hand up her shirt and she starts unbuckling his pants. Ross, after a few minutes of kissing gets Rachel’s shirt unbuttoned, and Rachel gets Ross’ shirt off. They go on kissing, getting really into things. Then there are sounds of keys jingling, but they are oblivious to them. The door starts to come open, and they are still kissing. More like making out now. Someone comes in and closes the door. The person doesn’t see them at first until she hears them. She turns around and goes over to the sofa. She bends down a little, to get a look at these people)
Diane: (she lets out a scare) ROSS!!!!
(Ross and Rachel jump up out of fright. They both, not knowing who is calling the name scurry to get their clothes on. After they are almost dress, they look up and see Diane. Her face is dark red with anger.)
Ross: (calmly) Uh Diane, I know what this must look like.
Diane: (angry, mocking him) I know what this must look like!!! I know what this must look like!!! This is just what it looks like!!! You are cheating on me!! (She looks at the girl standing by Ross, and gets an even darker face.) With Rachel!!
Ross: Diane!
Rachel: (quietly to Ross) I Think I better leave.
Diane: (hearing her) I think you better!!
(Ross looks at Rachel and nods, she picks up her purse and hurries out of the apartment. Diane look after her, then at Ross who is picking up his shirt.)
Ross: Diane…
Diane: I can’t believe you Ross! After all we have been through. All of my bragging. How long have you been sleeping with that slut?
Ross: She is not a slut.
Diane: Oh, so you are defending her now.
Ross: No I-I..
Diane: I-I-I what? I am a jerk. What Ross? (She moves closer to him) How long have you been with her?
Ross: (sighs) Almost three months.
(Diane gets really mad at this and picks up the glass from off the table and throws it at Ross.)
Diane: Three Months!!!! You have been sleeping with her since-since you got back from Greece.
Ross: No. Actually we met in Greece.
Diane: Oh my god. Ross!!!
Ross: Honey clam down. (He tries to put his arms on her.)
Diane: Don’t you tell me to calm down. I just found my husband who has been cheating on me for three months, making out on my sofa!!!
Ross: (He looks down.) Diane, I am so so sorry. I was going to break it off, but what Kevin told me got me thinking about...
Diane: (cutting him) Wait! Who knew about this?
(Ross bites his bottom lip)
Ross: Well uh, Chandler, Kevin, Joey, Phoebe, Kevin and, Monica.
Diane: Well basically everyone!
Ross: I didn’t want to tell them but Rach...
Diane: (cutting him again) Don’t say her name! Never say her name again!
Ross: (scared) Ok.
(Diane starts pacing around)
Diane: You all were against me. You all kept this from me!
Ross: Diane that’s not true.
Diane: Yes it is. None of your friends like me, I know it.
(Ross looks down and sits on the sofa, and Diane just stands there and looks at him.)

~ Ross’ Office ~
(This scene is short)
(Ross is sitting at his desk, just doodling on some paper. There is a knock at the door and Diane comes in. Ross immediately stands up and closes the door behind her. He pulls out a chair for her and she sits down. He goes behind his desk and sits down also.)
Ross: (confused) So?
Diane: (firm) Don’t talk Ross, I will.
Ross: Ok.
Diane: (Silence) Last night, and today I have been thinking. (pauses) I will give you another chance.
Ross: (He gets happy, and stands up) You will. (She gives him a glare and he sits back down)
Diane: On certain rules. (pauses) You never to see this Rachel girl again. I want you to break off what ever you have going with her. And don’t spend to much time at your sisters. I love you Ross, and I want to work on this. Rachel was a mistake, and I know we can work past her. So if you want to stay with me, just simply do as I ask. We will never tell everyone about this.
Ross: (he looks down then back up at her.) Ok.
(Ross gets up and goes to Diane and hugs her)

~ Rachel’s Penthouse ~
(Rachel is watching T.V. Ross walks in, without knocking, he goes over by her. He looks up at her with
puppy eyes.)
Ross: Rachel, I need to talk to you.
Rachel: (She nods) ....Ok.
Ross: Rach...Diane and I have decided to give it another try. She has forgiven me and she wants me to stay with her so...
Rachel: So?
(He gets her hands, then sits on her coffee table.)
Ross: This is not going to be easy, and it might not be something you want to hear.
Rachel: (worried) What is it Ross? What are you talking...(She thinks for a minute, then she gasps, remember what happened days before. She looks in Ross’ eyes and sees what he is about to do. Her eyes start to water, she pulls her hands away from Ross and stands up.)
Ross: Rachel...(He sees she knows what’s about to happen, so he walks over to her, right in her face. She doesn’t look at him. He gently touches her face. He moves his hands alongside of her cheek, wiping away the tears that are starting to flow quicker.) (softly) Rach, I am sorry. I am so so sorry. Forgive me?
(Ross gets her face more and lightly kisses her lips, then cheek, then neck. Rachel after this slowly breaks away.)
Rachel: (soft, through tears) No, no. I can’t forgive you.
Ross: Rachel, please? I want you to still be my friend.
Rachel: (getting snappy) Oh like your wife is going to allow that.
(She again walks away from him. She goes into her bedroom, and Ross follows her.)
Ross: Rach?
Rachel: (crying) Ross, would you just leave. You have made it clear that you don’t want me anymore.
Ross: Rachel...
Rachel: (yelling now) Go Ross!
(Ross just looks at her. After a few minutes he puts his head down then walks out of her place. She looks after him, then collapses on the sofa crying)

~ The Anniversary Party ~
(Ross and Diane are walking around greeting their guest. Ross looks sick and sad. This next scene is going to be basically a song, with a few words. Ross lets go of Diane’s arm and kisses her cheek, then excuses himself to the gang.)
Ross: (sad) Hey guys.
Chandler: Hey man. How are you?
Ross: Fine, I guess. This is hard you know.
Monica: (upset) What? For you, or her?
Ross: (confused) What?
Monica: Is it hard because you can’t be with two women at the same time? Or the fact that you broke someone’s heart?
Ross: (shocked) Mon, I am sad. I just broke up with my girlfriend.
Monica: You are such an insensitive jerk! Rachel had no one but you. You still have a wife.
(The rest of the gang looks down. Ross looks at them, knowing they all agree with Monica. Ross walks away from the gang with a mad look on his face, Monica looks at him in anger and her cellphone rings. She looks at it then whispers to Chandler something and leaves. Ross looks back over and calls Chandler over to him.)
Ross: Where is Monica?
Chandler: I don’t know. She told me she had to go. It was an emergency, she couldn’t explain.
Ross: Oh.
(Ross looks down, now feeling bad for being rude to his sister. Diane walks up to Ross and grabs his arm and brings him to the side of everyone.)
Diane: Ross, are you ok?
Ross: Yes, why?
Diane: You look down. (she looks at people walking by and smiles. Then back at Ross.) I don’t know what is wrong with you, but I would appreciate it if you would put on a better face for how guest.
(He looks at Diane upset at first, then he recoils feeling guilty.)
Ross: You are right I am sorry. I am feeling better already.
(He grabs her hand and they walk out to all their guest.)

~ Monica & Chandler’s apt. ~
(Monica rushes in her apartment, and sees Rachel sitting on her sofa. She walks over to her and puts her arms around her and starts rubbing her arms.)
Monica: Hey Sweetie, I came as fast as I could. What’s wrong? How are you holding up?
(Rachel finally turns to Monica, and we can see she is teary eyed.)
Rachel: I wish I could say fine, but uh I-I need to do something, and you are the only close friend I really have, so I called you.
Monica: Ok sweetie, What’s up?
(Rachel gets up and starts pacing around, Monica just stares at her worried.)
Monica: Rachel?
Rachel: (about to cry) Ok. I think I am pregnant.
(Monica gets this shocked look on her face)
Monica: (screams) What?!
Rachel: I am late, so I went and bought a few test, to take them.
(Monica now starts pacing.)
Monica: Ok breathe.
Rachel: I am breathing.
Monica: Wasn’t talking to you.
(Rachel looks at Monica and chuckles.)
Rachel: Why are you so worked up about I am the one who might be knocked up.
Monica: (calming down) Sorry. I am just thinking about what this could do.
Rachel: (getting worried) I know.
Monica: Have you taken the tests yet?
Rachel: No. That’s why I called you.
Monica: Ok come on, let’s go take them.
Rachel: (she looks at Monica weird) Let’s?
Monica: (frustrated) You know what I mean!
Rachel: Ok.
(Rachel goes into the bathroom, and Monica stands by the door. Rachel comes out a minute later and sighs. Monica grabs her hand, and they go and sit at the table.)
Monica: Ok. Now we just sit and wait.
Rachel: Yes.
(They stay in silence until Monica says “It’s time”. Rachel gets up scared and slowly walks into the bathroom. After a few minutes she comes out with tears streaming down her face. Monica looks at her and gets her and hugs her. She pulls her over to the sofa, and they sit down.)
Monica: Is it?
(Rachel just nods and starts crying harder and Monica lays her down on her lap.)

~ Monica and Chandler’s apt ~
Three days later
(The whole gang is there, minus Ross, Including Rachel. Monica and Rachel are at the table, whispering, and the rest or one the sofa watching a movie. We go to Monica and Rachel)
Monica: (She lightly rubs Rachel’s arm) How are you Hon?
Rachel: (still tear eyed from a few days before.) Ok, I guess. I just really don’t know what to do. Everything is happening so quickly, you know. I can’t just concentrate on one thing.
Monica: Oh, sweetie. (sighs) I don’t know what to tell you to do.
Rachel: I sometimes wish I never met him. (She starts wiping her eyes.)
(Phoebe looks back at them and walks over to them.)
Phoebe: You know my mother always told me it is not polite to whisper in front of others. So what are you talking about?
(She pulls out a chair and sits down with them, and smiles at them. Rachel weakly smiles back, but then looks at Monica.)
Rachel: Uh Phoebe, not to be rude but, this is kinda personal.
Monica: Yeah Pheebs. (Phoebe looks at them, then pretends to wipe her tears.)
Phoebe: It’s ok, I know when I am not wanted.
(She walks away. Monica looks back at Rachel with a look of sorrow.)
Monica: Are you going to tell him soon?
Rachel: I-I don’t know. I don’t know if I am going to tell him at all.
Monica: Why not? He was a part of this also, you didn’t do it alone.
Rachel: Yes I know, but I have already put a strain on his marriage. I don’t want to do it again. He is happy he made his choice. Why force him to come back to me.
Monica: I know he is my brother and I love him. But I just don’t think it is fair for you. He can’t just play around when he wants then not take responsibility for his actions.
Rachel: I don’t know Monica...I need help.
Monica: (urging) Just tell him!
Rachel: (frustrated) I will.
Monica: Really!
Rachel: Yes, tomorrow.
Monica: (softly) I am here for you, you know that, right?
Rachel: Yeah.
(They smile and hug each other. As they are breaking the hug they hear Ross talking on the phone, walking up the stairs to the apartment. Monica jumps out of her seat and pulls Rachel up with her. She motions for Rachel to hide in her bedroom and Rachel swiftly makes her way there, just as Ross opens the door.)
Ross: (he hangs up his phone) Hey guys!
Chan/Joey/Pho: Hey!
Monica: Hey
(Ross turns and sees his sister and looks down, then up at her remembering nights before. They had not spoken until now.)
Ross: (softly) Hey.
Monica: What’s up? Why are you here?
Ross: I just came to visit. Is that not aloud?
Monica: No, but I didn’t know you could still come over here.
(Ross shoots her a look)
Ross: Funny. (pauses) Look, I am sorry I yelled at you. I had no right to do that and I feel terrible. Will you forgive your big brother.
(He does the puppy eyes, and Monica shakes her head and smiles at him. She walks up to him and they hug tightly.)
Monica: (breaking) Do you want to stay for dinner? (she was forgetting about Rachel)
Ross: Uh no, I can’t. I am meeting Diane and some of her colleagues.
Monica: Oh ok. Well see ya later, I guess.
Ross: Yeah, Bye.
(He leaves and Rachel walks out of Monica’s room, and walks over to Monica and starts crying as she hugs her.)

~ Ross apt. ~
(Ross’ opens his door and lets Rachel in. She just stands there.)
Ross: You can sit down.
Rachel: Thanks.
(They both sit on the sofa. Rachel turns to him with a serious face.)
Ross: So what is it that’s so important?
Rachel: (she takes a deep breath) Ok, this is well uh shocking and uh it’s big, uh...
Ross: (serious) What is it Rach?
Rachel: Hey! (she shoots him a look) Do not rush me.
Ross: (he looks down) Sorry.
Rachel: Ok, (pauses) I am pregnant.
(Ross looks at her much like in “TOW Rachel Tells” He doesn’t respond to her for a few minutes and she starts snapping in front of him.)
Rachel: Ross? Ross?
Ross: (coming out of his daze) What?
Rachel: (she looks at him) uh?
Ross: Oh right. (He stands up and starts pacing) How-how did this u-uh happen?
Rachel: (upset) What do you mean, “ How did this happen”. We had sex!
Ross: I know, but-but we-we were careful-careful.
Rachel: (sarcastically, rude) Well evidentially we weren’t careful enough.
(Ross starts pacing again. Rachel follows him with her eyes, then stands up)
Rachel: (aggravated) Look Ross, I don’t know what you want, but I am keeping this baby and rising it. You can do what ever you want!
Ross: (He looks at her again.) I think you should leave.
Rachel: (softly) What?
Ross: I think you should go, you are just making things harder.
Rachel: I am not forcing you anything you don’t want. (silence) Just remember
you made a promise.
(She picks up her bag and leaves. Ross just stands there speechless thinking about this huge decision he has to make.)

~ Central Perk ~
(Monica is sitting on the sofa, Ross comes in and sits down in a daze.)
Monica: Ross? Ross?
(He doesn’t respond to her, so she kicks he in the leg. He jumps up and holds his leg)
Ross: Ow! (He looks at Monica.) What was that for?
Monica: Sorry. You were in a daze.
Ross: Oh (He sits back down and puts his head in his hands. Monica looks at him weird.)
Monica: Are you ok?
Ross: (He looks at her) No. (pauses) I just found out some not so great news.
(Monica nods knowingly at him, then moves over and sits by him, rubbing his back)
Monica: Is this about Rachel?
Ross: What about her?
Monica: Did she tell you?
Ross: (surprised) You know! She told you before she told me?
Monica: Yes, so? She told me on your anniversary.
Ross: (he stands up) I can’t believe this. Who else did she tell?!
(Monica pulls him back down)
Monica: No one but me Ross. She trusts me.
Ross: Oh. Diane cannot find out about this.
Monica: She won’t, unless you tell her.
Ross: Good. (He puts his hands on his head again) I don’t know what to do.
Monica: Do you love Rachel?
(Ross lifts his head up and looks at her.)
Ross: What?
Monica: Do you love her?
Ross: I don’t know, I mean I guess I do, but I am already with Diane.
Monica: Well stay with her!
Ross: What about Rachel and the baby?!
Monica: That is what I am asking. Why would you want to stay with Diane? She too controlling.
Ross: Because. (pauses) I love her so much.
Monica: Then be with her.
Ross: What about Rachel, she is carrying my child?!
Monica: Ross, Listen, If you want to be with Diane be with her, But if there is any chance for Rachel think about it.
(She gets up and walks out. Ross again is stuck with another huge decision.)

(Ross walks into his apartment looking a bit sad. He walks into his bedroom and pulls a bag out of his closet, and starts packing up his stuff in a suitcase. The door to his apartment opens and Diane comes in. She walks immediately to the bedroom and sees what Ross is doing. She lays her purse down.)
Diane: (walking toward his suitcase) Ross, What is this for? (he doesn’t answer) Is your job sending you on another trip?
(Ross looks at her and stops packing. He takes her hands and brings her out into the living room. He ists her down on the couch.)
Ross: (softly) Diane, I love you.
Diane: I love you too sweetie. (she hugs him, but he breaks it.)
Ross: No. I love you, but I can’t stay here. I can’t live with you anymore.
Diane: (Shocked) What?!
Ross: I am not going to stay here anymore. I love you, but I am not in love with you.
Diane: (She is speechless) I-I uh I what?
Ross: (he stands up) I need to finish packing.
(She looks at him in amazement)
Diane: Is this because of that Rachel girl?
(Ross stops walking and turns around.)
Ross: Yes. Look, I am not going to lie to you Diane. (pauses) I am in love with Rachel, and she is having my baby.
Diane: (she is about to explode) Baby?! Baby?! Sh-she is pregnant?!
Ross: Yeah. (He looks down)
Ross: I can’t believe you Ross. (silence) You know what? I want you to leave, leave.
(She points to the door. Ross looks at her, then walks out the door. She picks up the lamp off the side table and throws it at the door, shattering it.)

~ Rachel’s Penthouse ~
(Ross is outside of her penthouse, he is deciding whether to knock or not. As he puts his hand up to knock, Rachel opens the door. She sees him and walks past him. He grabs her arm stopping her)
Ross: Rachel, Rachel wait.
(She tries to shake him off but he is too strong.)
Rachel: Let go, Ross!
Ross: No, not until you hear me out.
Rachel: I don’t want to hear anything you have to say anymore Ross. You made your choice.
Ross: No I didn’t. My choice was made for me.
Rachel: Ross, You broke up with me! It’s not my fault.
Ross: Can we just go inside a talk?
Rachel: No. I have to be somewhere.
Ross: Where?
Rachel: (rude) That is none of your business.
Ross: (stern) Rachel?
Rachel: I am going to a doctors appointment are you happy? Will you let me go?
Ross: No. And why didn’t you tell me about this appointment?
Rachel: Because you never said what you wanted to do. So I figured you didn’t want anything to do with the baby.
Ross: (softly) I would never not care about this baby, not matter what. (pauses) I love this baby, and I love you.
(Rachel looks at him surprised.)
Rachel: You love me?
Ross: Yes, and I want to be with you.
Rachel: (confused) What about Diane?
Ross: Rach, it’s over between us. (he places his free hand on her cheek and strokes it.) I don’t care about her, I care about you.
(Rachel looks at him for a minute getting teary eyed. She leans her face against his hand and shakes her head slowly. Tears start flowing down her face)
Rachel: (crying) No.
Ross: (almost crying, letting go of her arm) What?
Rachel: (wiping her eyes) I said no Ross. You hurt me, and you promised you would never do that. I trusted you. (sniffs) I gave you time to tell you wife, and let her down easy. (pauses) All you were doing was playing with me. (She grabs her hair) God, I should have seen it.
Ross: (he steps closer to her) No Rach, I love you. I loved you. It was just to hard. I didn’t want to break Diane’s heart.
Rachel: (hurt) But it was ok to break mine.
(Ross looks in her eyes.)
Ross: I love you Rach.
Rachel: (softly) I love you too, but I don’t want to be your second choice.
(She looks at him one last time, then walks down the hall. Ross leans on the wall and sighs)

~ Monica & Chandler’s ~
A week later
(Ross is on the window seat, he looks depressed. They rest of the gang is watching a movie, and keep looking back and forth from it to Ross.)
Monica: Ross, are you sure you don’t want to watch the movie?
Ross: (dull) No Mon, I am fine.
(Chandler gets up and goes over to him and sits down.)
Chandler: Ross you have got to get over her, she is moving on.
(Joey comes over also)
Joey: Look on the bright side Ross, you are still having a baby together.
Monica: (from the couch) Yeah, Ross.
Phoebe: Actually Ross, I know for a fact that you to are going to end up together. It’s in the stars.
It’s destiny.
(Ross looks at Phoebe and shakes his head.)
Ross: No it’s not Pheebs. She told me no, I just have to accept it.
Chandler: (sarcastic) This is why I am never having an affair.
(Everyone glares at him. He recoils. Then there is a knock at the door. Monica goes and opens it, to fine a showing Rachel. (it’s just a little bump) Monica gets a surprised look and lets her in.)
Monica: Hey honey. (She hugs her) What brings you hear? (They break)
Rachel: (looking at everyone) I need to talk to Ross.
Monica: Oh. (she looks at everyone also, then at Rachel.) Well uh, you guys lets give them some privacy.
(Everyone, but Chandler start walking to the door. Monica sees)
Monica: Chandler!
(He jumps up)
Chandler: Sorry Hon, my butt was stuck to the seat. (He walks out and Monica shuts the door behind them. After they are in the hallway they all turn around and place their ears on the door.)
Monica: Can you guys hear?
Phoebe: (like it is obvious) Yeah.
Chandler: She is talking about through the door Phoebe.
Phoebe: Oh! (she looks at Monica) Then, no. (Everyone rolls there eyes at her.)
(Back in the apartment. Ross stands up a looks at Rachel. She walks over to him.)
Ross: (nervous) Do you want to sit down? (He points at the bench. She shakes her head.)
Rachel: (sweetly) No, I am fine.
Ross: Are you sure? I don’t think you should be standing long in your condition.
(She smiles at him.)
Rachel: I am fine, Ross.
Ross: Ok. (He looks down, then up at her) Uh, What are you doing here? (she looks at him) Not saying that you can’t be here, but are you here to tell me something or what?
Rachel: (she smiles again and laughs) Yes Ross, I am here to talk to you.
Ross: Ok. (He sits back down, while she stands in front of him)
Rachel: Well I have been thinking. My baby needs a Daddy.
Ross: And she has one right here. (He gentle puts his hand on her stomach.)
Rachel: I know, but she needs one to live with her and be by her side 24/7.
Ross: (sad) I don’t know if I can do that, but Rachel I promise I will be there as much as I can.
Rachel: (smiles) I can live with that. (pauses) Unless you would want to stay with me?
Ross: (shocked) Are you asking me to live with you?
Rachel: (playfully) I don’t know. Would you want to?
(He looks at her, then away.)
Ross: (not wanting to bring it up) I thought, you-uh you were still mad at me.
Rachel: I am, (he looks down) but not so much anymore. Come on Ross, if I were still that mad would I be asking you to live with me?
Ross: No.
Rachel: See, so relax. I am not gong to attack you.
(They both laugh. He looks in her eyes.)
Ross: (quiet) What about us, Rach?
Rachel: (she moves closer to him and puts her arms around his neck, pulling him really close so that they are an inch away from kissing.) If you are good, I say in about two or three weeks I may take you back.
Ross: (smiling) Two or three?
Rachel: Don’t push your luck.
(He laughs again, then kisses her lightly on the lips, she returns the kiss, they break and hug each other tight.)
Rachel: (She whispers in his ear lightly crying) By the way, we are having two girls.
(Ross pulls away with excitement right as the gang falls in scaring Ross and Rachel.)
Ross: (says loudly) We are having Two girls!!!
(The gang all have shocked faces, not hearing that part of the conversation. Monica walks over to her brother and her newly found friend.)
Monica: You guys are having twins?
Rachel: Yes!
(They hug)
Chandler: This is great!
Joey: This is unbelievable.
(Ross just stares at Rachel, still shocked from Rachel’s new news.)
Phoebe: Ross, are you ok?
Ross: (he snaps out of it) Uh yeah, I am fine-fine.
(Monica and Phoebe look at Rachel and Ross, and how close they are to each other.)
Monica: So uh, are you guys back together?
(Rachel looks at Ross, then back at Monica and smiles.)
Rachel: (she puts her arm around his waist) Well, we are not officially together, but give us a few weeks and we should be together again.
Monica: Oh great! (They hug again)
Phoebe: Told you guys.
Rachel: (Breaking the hug) Oh, and we are moving in together.
(Monica and Rachel hug again, while the rest congratulate Ross. Then Ross goes to Rachel and pulls her into a hug and kisses her gentle, and whispers “I love you”, to her, and she smiles and kisses again.
