| do you want to know a secret... |

So, you want to know a secret? Promise not to tell? We are standing by a wishing well! In this section of Beatlebomb I plan to put up "fun and interesting" facts about the Beatles. Things that I find in old magazines or "rumors" about the Beatles will be put here...but for now I've just got the old Beatles "color cards" and a few things I've read, but hopefully I'll have more soon! (If you've got something you'd like to add email me! Thanks!)
The Beatles first proper tour, a five-date visit to Scotland in January of 1963 earned them a mere $590 (200 British pounds). Later that year in November, they were commanding up to $2,250 (800 British pounds) for one half-hour show.
Twenty-two million viewers (about one-third of the British Population) watched all four Beatles in 1963 on Juke Box Jury.
50,000 tickets were requested for the Beatles' first appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show. There were only 728 in the studio.
More than a quarter of Liverpool's population came out to see the Beatles receive a reception for the premeire of A Hard Day's Night at the Liverpool Town Hall in Liverpool.
Between 1963 and 1964, 104 out of the hundreds of girls that had gone missing in Great Britain had turned up in Liverpool, England, the Beatles hometown.
John Lennnon loathed the sixties band, the Hollies.
In a deleted scene of A Hard Day's Night, John is mistaken for an escaped convict and handcuffed!

Paul had three cats named Joseph, Mary, and Jesus in the 1960's.
Paul also hated that song "Eve of Destruction" by Barry McGuire.

George dated actress Haley Mills for a period of time during the 1960s.
George hated flying in airplanes.
George also hated the group the Hollies, like John.

So far, I have no fun facts about Ringo! I'm sorry!
