Have you ever wondered what the heck the Beatles are supposed to be spelling on the cover of this fine album? Well, yeah, the boys were supposed to be giving the signal for "Help us" in semaphore, but uh...the cover got reverse-printed. If you hold your copy up to a mirror you'll see that they are spelling out something.

Help! (Lennon/McCartney)--This was John's literal cry for help, describing this time as his "fat Elvis period" and that he was feeling very insecure. The album and single versions have different lyrics, and on the single's first pressing it reads: "From the United Artist screenplay, Eight Arms to Hold You." Eight Arms to Hold You was the original title for the Beatles' second movie.
