John was born and raised in the United States. He was descended from venerable God-fearing ancestors in the far north of Europe (North of Scandinavia, Germany and England). He became a Catholic at age 21 and joined a reilgious order in Latin America at 28, where he wrote essays in English, for its publication Reflections. The religious order was shut down and dissolved 35 years later, for lack of vocations. After that he still continued to write a little.
His life is more than half finished, and he looks forward to a holy and happy death, followed by being in Paradise, the heavenly Jerusalem, the dwelling of Christ and his saints, for the endless ages of eternity, for ever and ever, and hopes to possess the happiness and joy of being with God-fearing men, God-fearing women, and with great prachers. Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. (Matthew 13>:43).
