| Interesting exerpts from The Penguin Book of Etiquette by Marion Von Alderstein How to reject a date: "The person at the other end of the line is that awful guy at your office who's been giving you the eye when he parks beside you at your office building. You can't think of anything worse than going out to dinner with him. Be kind but firm. If you truly do not want him hanging around, say something like 'That's very sweet of you but I'm not a free agent anymore. In fact, I'm practically engaged.'" |

LORD OF THE RINGS II: Amazing film, some very disappointing deviations from book for those who are hardcore fans, but a great film in itself. THE PIANIST: SUCH a good film, so sad, so well done, so many awards and you will love Adrien Brody! ROAD TO PERDITION: "seen it before" gangster scenario but very well made - sound and cinematography is tops! TALK TO HER: Certainly not run of the mill and really engaging....top stuff! |

| So how do Mesdemoiselles Mimi and Loulou and their friends entertain themselves? COLDPLAY CONCERT! Hurrah hurrah hurrah, they were so SO good, even better live! Wonderful fun, the only bummer was the realisation that we are frigging short. We could literally not see a thing at one point, it was as if the all blacks and wallabies were standing around us. One such guy laughed at us, and said we could stand in front of him because it wouldn't affect his view in the slightest =) Went to slip inn.... which is ok, but a little overrated, lovely to see people though =) A more exciting venue was oporto afterwards. The one on clarence street is open til 1:30 am, so we went in there literally at 1:30am and were total customers from hell, breaking tea cups and generally being annoying.... they gave us a big bag of free chips but Thankyou Anna for lovely dinner, your burnt chops are incredible, your chocolate pudding mouthwatering, and magic lemon pudding truly magic =) Opera again, this time Madama Butterfly....nearly fell asleep in the first act, but the second was much better & terribly sad... and the set was incredibly, there was like a running moat on the stage! the biggest problem i guess, was an large anglo 40 year old was playing the 15 year old petite japanese beauty Thankyou Marcus for lovely dinner on wednesday, hope you've got all the glass off the floor & burnt rice off the pot =) may next sat be fantasmic Haha AMUNC (or NERD-MUNC) was a funny week... so little sleep, so much done... including drunken cruise, drunken cargo bar, strange cocktail party at Yu, a drama filled drunken Ball on friday night...but it wasn't all drunken, the actual conference stuff during the days was great too. The highlights of the week included: the glorious suite at star city (and not being able to find it one night because too plastered), 3am pizza, getting the Zimbabwe resolution passed(hurrah!), the UN guy's speech on thursday, Jose Ramos Horta (but he wasn't as good as the thursday guy... and apparently John Pilger was mad but was still in bed for that one), meeting fun new people (and for a very limited few, fun new pickups) Overall, a brilliant week! But it will be nice to just sleep for a few days and recover =) Happy new house steph! Happy Holidays in Europe Mila, and in England Sap! xxx .. mil being away means that it's lin updating this site... which is why it hasn't been updated in yonks, sorry=) Law Informal sounded fun for those who got in, but do to the wonderful organisational skills of SULS there was a massive queue some of us got stuck in for over 2 hours, which wasn't so fun! But overall fun night heehee despite some 'unnatural' occurances... CONGRATS ALL FOR FINISHING EXAMS! HAPPY HOLIDAYS! hehe jacqui sent me this yonks ago but I just refound it =) happy holidays to those who've finished, good luck for those still in the thick of it! DIFFICULT WORDS TO SAY WHEN YOU ARE DRUNK. Specificity Indubitably Innovative Preliminary Proliferation Cinnamon IMPOSSIBLE WORDS TO SAY WHEN YOU ARE DRUNK Thanks, but I don't want sex. No, I don't want another drink. No kebab for me thank you. Sorry, but you're not good looking enough for me. Good evening officer I'm not interested in fighting you. No one wants to hear me sing HURRAH UTS law ppl are finished! Congrats! Happy Holidays! Have a lovely night at Kat's. I wish I was there! I'm so incredibly bored. Bored bored bored. Are ethnic czechs slavs? I'm assuming they are, because textbook says they held a pan-slavic conference in 1848. Meanwhile, we DON'T like Bistro Mambo in Mosman, because they charged us $20 for spinich. It was nice spinich, but it was literally spinich and oil and garlic thrown in a pan which I reproduced the next day for about $2. We DO like Maiseys on Military Rd , who have incredibly large serves of mud cake swimming in chocolate sauce... and this sauce was GOOD... a serve for 1 satisfied 4 of us so there you go...and its open 24 hours hurrah! Good luck UTS law ppl for the 'final showdown' with fedcon, tort & languages! You'll be finished so soon, then long long holidays.... =) All the best to Will, Juz and co with Band Comp tonight! Good luck EVERYONE for final assessments, may studly be with you =) HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAT!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY EWA!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMAY!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUBS!!!!! Hope you had a lovely night on the town with lots and lots of friends...meanwhile why did maccas inbetween the orient and the paragon seem like such a good idea at the time? felt so sick on the train home..... but happy birthday darl mwa oops, haven't updated for ages... everyone's been rather work focused lately and not going out so much... But COMSOC pubcrawl was on fri night, which was fun especially as we diverged from the main group and made up out own (better) itinerary =) The Australian, the Harbourview then the Lwenbru... here's to beer stein clinking good fun! Saturday was Evan's party hurrah! thankyou for having us ...but perhaps even more hair-raising than the party itself was getting there- Nic and Will drag racing each other down the Pacific Hwy and Boundary Rd at up to 120km/h..OH DEAR MEANWHILE more stuff to look forward to: Law Informal has moved forward a week Thursday to July 3rd...and there's AMUNC in first week of hols, with mandatory going outedness every night! Happy Birthday Phil! Hope you guys had fun matrixing on sunday =) Dear Cat Owners, If your cat has fair ears, please do it a service and put suncream on its ears every day. Only some days is not enough. It must be every day, or your cat may end up like mine and need its ears cut off. sob. Lots of love, Linda Everyone is so busy and studyfilled at the mo....so here's a list of some STUFF TO LOOK FORWARD TO!!!! - for all good nsgs and nsbs, there's the musical. This year its Calamity Jane..thinking of going on the Sat 31st May (Closing Night) as there is rumor that certain friend of Beanpede will be hosting said after party... though tis not certain yet. For everyone there's the COMSOC black and white themed pub crawl in the rocks, on Friday May 30 *IT WILL BE SO MUCH BETTER THAN LAW CRUISE*. Then there's the Law Informal on Thurs 3 July... then HOLIDAYS!!!! and associated undetermined fun!!!....finally, her SULSliness Mila brought this to my attention today... (copied straight from SULS site) The Law Ball is the premier SULS event of the year and will be held at a new venue this year. With water views and a great location, Le Montage is one of Sydney's best function centres. This year we will kick on after the Ball with a fleet of water taxis picking us up and whisking us away to a huge after party in Darling Harbour. Tickets will be on sale towards the end on first semester and will be available from the SULS offices at Level 5 at Law School and OTC 317 on Campus. Actually, UTS Law Ball was at La Montage last year, pity we didn't go =) But isn't that just what you want, PISSED LAW STUDENTS ON WATER TAXIs.... I can see it now.... CONGRATS EVAN!!! We're very proud of you! hehehe friends in high places...now we wouldnt exploit that would we? =) Good luck with contracts all usyd law! Congrats for finishing your contracts quiz girls and boys, just think- never again! hurrah =) What an utter doozy of a night!!! Cannot believe it! And it should have been so gold.... Johnson had their gig at The Basement. We got there at 8, and it was already crowded, but as other uni&school friends hadn't yet arrived and the band which was playing (NOT johnson) sucked, we decided to take a walk down to the Quay. Anyways, by the time we got back to the Basement , it was full that mos t ppl couldn't get in! So we missed the gig but am sure the performance itself was amazing. GO JOHNSON. Anyways, so this is the point where the evening turned really crap - at 1am Jess and Will very kindly dropped us back at my (Lin's) car and zoomed off into the night. We got in the car, and for some reason it wouldn't start. My (and my parents) utter and sincerest thanks to very tired Mil, Nic and Monty who pushed the car down William St while I attempted a futile clutch start... ANYWAYS, it turns out some utter bastards broke into the car, stole some CD's, sunglasses, some money, the street directory and Clinton the Yale Dog... and IMMOBILISED THE ENGINE! So no one ever ever park outside Shore at North Sydney, it is utterly dodgy. Well done on your campaign and best of luck Evan!!! Good on all the troopers who manned the beige shirt army, especially all you early risers! You can all breathe a sigh of relief, the gossip page is gone and its not coming back... We could never put an of the interesting stuff up there anyway. Have a great weekend everybody and happy back to uni! btw everyone who has an Evan shirt, DON'T FORGET TO WEAR THEM! Good luck JOHNSON, hope recording the album went wonderfully well Thanks Dan for having an utsly night.....heheheh may you always know you're our bestest sugardaddy =) And well done Jordan & Marcus for smashing that easter bunny, then so swiftly hiding the evidence. Nah but really, it was nice to see people like old times, and may EVERYONE come next time. good luck all for big tort assignment Happy Birthday Julia!!! mwa hope norfolk was amazing Thanks NSG ladies for comin over today for lunch, it was so good to finally see you all again! Must do it more often! Well done Shonagh and Sandra for you superior walking skills! Thank you Lin for doing all the meat (trust me to do a barbeque when my dad's away!) and thank you everyone for all the goodies you brought! Hehe and thanks Bron for leading us on our first foray into the world of soy sausages =) Hope everyone's Easter break was relaxing! Good on the troopers who are still working heaps and good luck to everyone getting any study done! Onto recent getaways: Firstly thank you Andrew for a very chillout time in Canberra - seems like we missed out on what was a fantastic night out the night before with Beau & co (sorry we missed seeing you guys!) - meanwhile that city looks stunning in autumn! mmm and yummy food mmmmm...only downer was slightly rampant wildlife of the stinging kind!....note to selves, stop watching Bend it Like Beckham! And yes Pat she's niiiice, really niiiice. Nextly, thankyou so much Will (on behalf of everyone who came) for having such a big bunch of us at your beautiful beautiful farm! Here's to 1) Jacqui & Lin's near death experience driving down, may we never speak of it again 2) Zoolander drinking games, 3) Jess & Co's wonderful dinner, 4) Monty's dancing...enough said! 5) Ubiquitous Evan (look out for the "beige-shirt" army on Monday!) 6) Facial massages by Lanah 7) Pat & Will's 'investigatory journalism' complete with disguises, 8) sunbaking in the morning, 9) gelato in Cronulla on the way home 10) the 200+ photographs which were taken of our drunken evening (hurrah for digital cameras)... Mil will try to upload them soon, but give us time =) Oh, and if anyone can remember any of those golden golden quotes from the evening (none of which i can remember now), please send them to us! Once again, thankyou Will and Jess for being such fabbo hosts, get lots of rest! Have a great time in Canberra all of u who went after the farm =) Thanks Phil for inviting us to quite the funny partay - wachoonky Greenwoodesqueness all round =) speculation on juicy melons didn't cease to entertain last night, the Occidental was overtaken by 700 drunk (and randy) law students , Baileys, bunny ears, playing cards, hot cross buns, easter eggs and other Alice in Wonderland paraphernalia. Heheh how cute was it having the movie projected on the roof? Apparently it was an incredibly large turnout, we hope everyone had a wonderful night, and congrats to Mila, Christie, Evan and Andrew (plus other SULS) for organising! Thanks to Will who dragged a group of us to Pancakes afterwards.... and here's to everyone who made new (or further re-acquainted old) 'friends'... hmmm maybe we'll have to update the gossip page. We'll put photos from the night upsoon. HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE! HURRAH FOR HOLIDAYS! hurrah! only 1 more day til holidays. (hurrah for those who already are!)...good luck to everyone for what promises to be a killer week of assignments and exams! Well not for everyone, congrats to all who've finished for now, may you have some lovely nights off =) Is anyone else excited that we NEVER HAVE TO DO A CONTRACTS ASSIGNMENT EVER AGAIN!!!! Heheh NOW you know... HAPPY B'DAY SAPNA!!!! I expect a thorough report of the evening! Once again, my sincerest apologies on behalf of my immune system. Well, whilst poor Mila was home feeling ill and having people call her continuously about contract problems, (the price of being brilliant) there was a most wonderful cebrelation of the birth of Sapna. AAh the joys of hooning round town in an oversized limo, but silly us, we forgot the camera! After went to Wildfire, which proved a bit of a double edged sword (see dining out for the review), but lets just say we prolly shouldn't go back there for a while =) Multiple lessons learned: 1) if you complain, you will get free food, 2) you cannot park anywhere near the rocks or circular quay on a saturday night 3) you should always tip restaurants, because you'll prevent social death by not accidentally shortchanging the bill by 50 cents , and 4) it is an incredibly bad idea to throw around words like 'aberdiginal' (don't ask). But seriously, thankyou so much Sap, we had a great night and may you have a wonderful 20th year whose silly idea was it to give uni students work? Bring on easter break! 2 more weeks! The Swiss consul-general to Australia is the funniest, craziest character you'll ever see...and he knows how throw a happening party for random French/ German students and professors from all over sydney - complete with racklette, mad accordion dude, not to mention free flowing chocolate and Switzerland caps for all! And he happens to be mates with Pat's host dad from Switzerland...tis a small small world. 1st Kings final! We girls looked so wachoonky, and most of us didn't have a clue what was going on (to start with at least) but we had a great time... muchly funny was the announcers totally put on american accent, yelling DEE-FENCE! every few minutes... and they should really make a "best of Basketball" CD. and oh my god how skanky were the cheerleaders! And there were these micro mini cheerleades who we reakoned would be taking serious drugs by the time they were 10.... next we want to go to an origin match or swans game or something mwahahhaah OGU Dinner! Like always, the food was awful, the sherry the usual paint stripper goodness, the unlimited wine goonly, but that just adds to the fun. This year, our table was of note because a) we got certain ex-school captain tipsy before making her speech to the very sober room, 2) we had 4 school captains, 3) random women with nametags stuck to their heads would come past and make witty comments on how young we were. No but really, all NSGs join the OGU, it was really fun seeing people from our grade who we've hardly seen in ages. Plus now Mila and Lin have taken over the OGU newslette, which is far more revolutionary than it sounds- the same lady has been doing it the past 20 years on a TYPEWRITER.... that and the average age of the committee is 60 + COMSOC Cocktail Party! Where does one start? There's certainly something lethal about free flowing drink tokens - photographic evidence to appear soon! There were serious issues standing more than 80 degrees upright, especially a certain Comsoc exec! Fabbo night had by all! Sorry to the people who were harrassed by 3am messages coming from my phone (created by evil and completely smashed others). Random mysteries of the night: 1) how Lin managed to get that big cut on her leg (which, despite all the blood, she didn't notice for ages because she 'felt no pain'), 2) how and why the 3rd year guys ended up back at Sarah's with us....thankyou Wij for creating such an effective 'roadblock' for the cats! 4am pizza and icecream snack so so good.... Drews Informal was tonight... after some *minor hiccups* getting in, twas an interesting night... featuring cockroaches running all over the table and the aptly dubbed 'MacBeer' (worlds most tasteless beer)... a night where interesting goss was revealed and spread! hehehhe go second year law, may your lives this year be filled with love, passion, devotion, and most importantly, UST!!! Actually that goes for everyone =) Thanks Jacqui for a tops Election do! The NSW cake was brilliant as was all the food (except perhaps the charcoal garlic bread!) Thank you to Evan, Monty, Will and Pat who never ceased to keep us entertained..... Knobs and Brogden's all the way! The highlight had to be the Brogden placard that flew across the yard straight into Pat....agressive advertising...... And here's to the second half of the evening which mila missed! Cheers to the uts crowd plus 1 who stayed over, phil g who cooked, dan and linda's rather dangerous game of high speed pool-ball-air-hockey, the 'its a small world' rotary connection, and the combined (at some points of the night) very melodious snoring =). Hope your house is all clean now jac, thanks for having us. =)oh and here's to jacqui & lin's top election placard stealing - poo to the evil party reps at manly high who said we could take stuff, then basically crash tackled us to get it back! Site trivia: we now have 330 photos up! whilst some were quite content to veg at home on Wednesday night but many of you wild (sydney) party animals made it out to the SUBSKI partay....generally good reports apart from the fact that it took over an hour to get in (the entirety of which had to be spent in a sober state) but yeh I (Milz) hear twas quite a crowd....good to see you SUVers hosted some illegals for the night! Hope all the bleary eyed faces I saw today get lots of rest! Ohk so the real St Pat's was today....but a portion of us gals celebrated it yesterday in the Rocks (with only a brief appearance from token boy Bubs). Twas quite the green and happening but I (Milz) think our attempted pubcrawl looked suspiciously like a cafe-crawl....and the Lowenbrau certainly didn't have anything Irish going for it! Except the extra-large serves of Baileys! Nevertheless, HAPPY ST PAT'S to all! After supposedly convincing themselves they would stay home on saturday night and study, mil, lin, jacqui and Nic went out to Cremorne and saw The Pianist... which is this incredibly heavy and horrible, but amazing film (think polish jew holocaust survivor story)...and afterwards meet up with 3 incredibly drunk Lithuanian guys who tried to convince Lin that cabbage, potato and broccoli soup is wonderful....and we never did find out the name of that cheese... Meanwhile sun-in so doesn't work. i just thought the whole world should know that Yay for Usyd Law Level 5 Party! Great to see everyone again despite the sauna-like conditions and dubious alcoholic content of beverages (the number of lawsuits that could have arisen is mindboggling!)....Monty and Evan...what supreme dancing! And to everyone who got on camera, it seemed like a great idea at the time, but remember it can and will be used against you...LOL just kidding!....Here's to another promising year of law =) PS Good luck to everyone with Campus Committee nominations. MEANWHILE how much was it like a school junior dance? Except with worse lighting and fewer people kicked out for being drunk? And GO the security guard who simply asked people "are you 18?" and wasn't interested in checking ID.. Welcome back Alex! Of all the people I (lin) could have run into at Sydney, you were the one I least expected (as we thought you were in new haven...) Have a good ten days in the (comparative) warmth and sunshine Good luck for back to uni (for Sydney ppl), and happy 2nd week back everyone else =) Hurrah for swanky night! Everyone looked quite divine, congrats to Lisa, Sarah, Pat, Evan, Will & Jess, Brad & Bec for being scouted at establishment and being 'invited' up to Hemesphere because they're a "cool group." A very classy night, despite the $20 bet =) And thankyou Will for BBQ on Sunday, your house is AMAZING, and Jess is an absolutely fantasic cook! mwa HAPPY 18th TARAH!!!! Thankyou for having us over and all the best for a wonderful adulthood =) Hope everyone's first week back was brillo! Meanwhile happy partying to all Usyders this weekend before uni kicks in! Also, a big congrats to Lisa (and the naughty SPOC group), Greg and all other SPOCs for giving Usyd O-Week a kickass atmosphere =) Except when the SPOCs kicked us out of their exclusive BBQ >/ GOOD LUCK for going back to uni!!!! everyone except those who go to Usyd, who are lazy and get an extra week holiday! Btw goss section is back =) Well, Mardi Gras was an interesting night in the city, with Caz&Pat&Jenny&others enjoying some class people-watching on oxford street... notable was the guy with tailored pectoral cut-outs in his tight black t-shirt... Jac&Nic&Lin&Mil&Lise&Mark were late as always , missed the entire parade and never even made it to oxford street, instead veging at arthouse... only for everyone to converge on wallaby bar in the end HAPPY BIRTHDAY QUEENIE!!! Thankyou soooooo much for a scrumptious dinner and very yummy cake (which Lisa thoroughly enjoyed)... along with some very amusing games of shag/marry/kill =) Thankyou Jordan (and Monika) for a funny funny shire night! hope there wasn't too much mess... and everyone the shire is so much closer to the city than you think! HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEPH!!!! Greengate was a great idea, though really, seeing as you're not yet officially 5 years old Steph....=) A 'monumental' night was had at north sydney on thurs by many usyd and some northsyd ppl, however nothing particularly monumental actually happened. Some rather disturbing stories were uncovered though... when we revamp the gossip page some of these stories may be cryptically hinted at, however we're trying to be diplomatic at the moment =) A drunken night was had by all. Oh and thankyou Bubs for taking Mil and Lin (with Jacqui and Lise and Sarah) out beforehand for birthday dinner! Mmmm Paella and Sangria lead to tummy squelching goodness.... APOLOGY!!! Some objections have recently been received regarding certain parts of the gossip page...most objections were the result of additions made to the page from material sent anonymously from within our USYD law group. We apologise for putting it up there, especially since some of it was sensitive, or just plain untrue - please see it as evidence of our out-of-touchness, and our sincere belief that these were we'll known incidents that we had missed. As a result, we have removed the gossip page link, until further notice (please give us suggestions as to what form it could possibly appear in). Please don't hesitate to make comments on any part of the page that bothers you, it's meant to be for everyone's enjoyment and shouldnt put ppl out Yay Flea and Tor just accompaied bean&pede to see orpheus, and it was madly enjoyable fun, but QUITE NAUGHTY! Eg, year 7 Sceglands were sitting near us, and in the scene where Jupiter seduces Euridice we heard them say "What's he doing? Ew he's like eating her... or sucking on her or something! He's a fly, he can't do that!" oh they would have asked their parents so may questions whne they got home! Meanwhile, we tested a new place of food injestment whose name escapes me, so Mila must review it =) Hehehehsome uts ppl had muchly fun at wonderland today! Thankyou for fun day, and to those who didn't come we must do something all together soon hehe friday!!! Oh and Wednesday nights are going to become regular dinner night hurrah That was so weird I just wrote something and it vanished...anyway, hope Lisa and Sarah had a wonderful time at Noosa! Heehee hope our tailor made 'gossip' was amusing for you... if not a little disturbing... Hope you had a great SPOC camp Lise =) Also hope Linda St and Tori had fun on their camp! Mil and Lin are sadly out of action tonight (yes we even get sick together) so do regale us with your wild Saturday night stories! Thankyou thankyou Shonagh for having school ppl over for FRENCH dinner, HURRAH for your incredible cooking, you too must contribute to our eating page! While Caz, Mitali, Jenny, Evan and co. were sipping cocktails in Newtown, Lin, Jacqui, Sapna and Milz saw some fringe theatre at the Old Fitzroy Hotel.....then all converged on Nth Sydney and met up with Nicole, Rachel, Evan, Mitali, Caz and many other randoms (aaaaaaaaaaagh can't stand Greenwood!!!). Goss swapping wasn't too fruitful, though hypotheticals are always amusing! Meanwhile, Bubs (and everyone who met up with Bubs), there better be a good reason why you went to the Lansdowne SOCIALLY!!!!!! Here's some Old Girls news for all the North Sydney Girls out there.....this year's dinner is on April 2nd so we should ALL try to come! In other news, the library fund has raised 1 million dollars but they need about 200 000 more and building will get underway at the end of the year (plans may be viewed on the school website). Also, the students now have swanky new diaries with a ring binder down the edge, and a year planner with all school dates already printed AND there's this mad new SRC initiative (to be implemented next year) where the birthday of EVERY girl in the school will be put into the diaries....no excuses now! Sad bye byes to Nicole who is going back to Newcastle this coming week (but CONGRATS on becoming head rowing coach!!! Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou Elsa for having big school ppl INDIAN dinner! Your cooking was absolutely top notch, please donate some recipies to our eating in section Steph, hope you've had a great time with Rovers in Queensland and with Luke in Melbourne HAPPY VALENTINES DAY! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TORI!! Hurrah for Lisa and Jacqui, who finally finished summer school! HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR! Congrats to Sarah and her team at the Dragonboat races (Gresham, how did your crew go?) and many many thanks to Lisa for taking us to the Cherrybrook Chinese Community Chinese New Year Feast! mmmm 8 course Chinese... HAPPY B'DAY OLGA!!!! HAPPY B'DAY SARAH!!!! WELCOME BACK Anna, Sarah, Shonagh, Chelsea and Bron! Congrats on being so brave and adventurous! We've really missed our globetrotting friends! WELCOME Fran and Caz from Europe and Mitali and Sapna from India......great to have you back, one month still remains before another hard slog of law! HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALEX!!! (though your b'day is the same as Lin's, it comes after due to the time gap between the US and here... we're so advanced you see... only kidding! Hope everything is gold! Also, we hope much fun was had by all on Linda's b'day dinner at Pino's (sorry about your pasta Lewis!) HAPPY 19th Lin!! Thanks to all who came, and GO sat night too, being Barber of Seville in the Domain. CONGRATS to Jacqui & Lin for transferring to Arts & Arts/Law at Sydney, mwaha look out Sydney and CONGRATS to Monika & Dan for UNSW International Studies/Law..... Huge congrats to JOHNSON (Bubs, Joel, Simon and Chris) who, along with their fantastic brass section, drew a huge NSG/NSB following to the Lansdowne on 30th Jan (Thursday)....in fact it was the Lansdowne's 2nd biggest night ever (though we're sure the average age was at an all-time low!)....that was top stuff guys, good luck in the Blue Mts this March....we're working on getting some familiar faces in the crowd..... Sass and Bide warehouse sales MUCHLY recommended with heaps of stock and really good discounts....WARNING: Arrive 2 hours early, bring plenty of food and drink and expect long vicious queues of every bargain hungry "just stepped out of a catalogue" size 6-12 woman in Sydney. Lisa, Jacqui and Milz tried to have a classy night in the city Sat 25th Jan but it kinda failed! The Wallaby Bar has now officially become the city's pretentious equivalent of Greenwood.... HAPPY BIRTHDAYS Dan & Gresh &Marcus! mwa MELBOURNE!!! From 22nd till 24th January, Linda Mila Tori and Bubs had a brilliant time in Melbourne, shopping madly in the city and Fitzroy (highly recommend the latter for original, interesting, successful shopping!).....oh and more importantly, we saw the AUSTRALIAN OPEN tennis! We saw the amazing 5hour Andy Roddick v Younes el Aynaoui match AND Torz and Mila got Andy's autograph through some highly skilled manoeuvring! (Notable calls: "Come oooon, we have to go to work tomorrow!".....TORZ:"You beat Hewitt, you can do it!"....."GO Andy! GO Younes! GO someone!"). The following night we saw Agassi steamroll Ferreira in a rather unexciting match, but many thanks to Tori for bringing binoculars which provided us with hours of celebrity and erm...talent scouting. (Notable calls: "Come on Waaaaaaayne"). Also we highly recommend THE NUNNERY Youth Hostel as a great, convenient place to stay.....plus when the cabby asks "where to?" you can't help but cry "Get thee to a NUNNERY!" (see photoindex for tennising around) The 21st January saw Flea, Torz, Mila and Linda grace the Opera House for the performance of Don Giovanni (of womanizing fame). Heheh the story goes, Giovanni has slept with 1800 different women across 4 countries. This averages about a woman a night for 5 years . This guy is THE golden spade. Thanks to Bubs, Linda, Jacqui, Nic, Steph and Lisa for coming up to Copacabana (though really, how could you resist!). Many happy memories of The Goon, midnight beachwalks and "everyone v Bubs" pillowfights (beware of savage 12 year olds!) ACTUALLY thankyou Mila and family for having us. And no really, those 12 year olds were savage, Bubs was bleeding. Thanks Sally and Erin (of SPAM) for the Punky Reggae Partay, especially the free drinks part! We highly recommend the Adidas International Tennis at Homebush for next January...it's close, you get top seats and the world's top players...mmmm and Ferrero up close.....mmmm..... Bubs, Lisa, Lin, Nic and Milz enjoyed a nice day at Balmoral scabbing free food from Nic's work (thankyou!), followed by our conquest of the Is-land.....oh and twas the fateful night when Bubs' eyebrow became two! What is it with Nic's house and making over the guys? We still have photos of you Lewis! GOOD LUCK to Emma, James, Beau, Sam and Dave (NSB) at Sydney Uni Village.....we can't foresee much study but enjoy the parties and independence! Hope everyone had a great NEW YEARS! Go Blues Point and many thanks to Beau and troups who camped out all day and scored the most spacious tarp space this side of the bridge! Also thanks to Jamie for having us over, (your sausages were sooo the lifesaver!) and to Rach for having people over. Spare a thought for Pat, Linda and Lisa's breakdown at Balmoral, Sarah and Mila's Wizard of OZ dance, and the mad mad taxi driver who played the macarena at full blast, 6:30 am new year's morning.
