Fellow Submissives~

Since I wont be able to make the meeting on Friday to share some of the Homemade Toys that hubby/master and I have utilized, Lyric has offered to let me share them via email. I can be reached directly for questions or comments.

Hope you enjoy! ~misha

NOTE: This is NOT a guide for HOW to use your toys. Only a list of suggestions for economically minded, experienced players looking for alternatives to the pricier gadgets.

Clamps

For those of us who are economically minded and/or challenged....fancy Zippers and clamps can get awfully expensive! The solution? Clothespins!

Safety Tips:

  1. Use only sturdy wooden clothespins; the plastic type tend to snap at the most crucial (ie, intense) moments and can cut tender skin. Theyre usually easy to find at any Wal-Mart or Target-type of store, and you can get literally 100s for only a few dollars.

  2. If you make a Zipper, make sure to use a reliable string (not common sewing thread, it breaks under pressure) such as thin, but sturdy, twine.

  3. If the clothespin has too much resistance -- its too tight -- attach it to a cabinet door, book, or a folded up towl for a few days to loosen the resistance.

Crops/Paddles

Really nice crops can be expensive! If its just the sensation youre after and not the look, try using a balloon stick (those plastic sticks used for tying balloons to). You can get them at most floral/ballon buquet shops. The most common color is clear but Ive seen them in lots of fun colors, too.

Most professional paddles are just modified Ping-Pong paddles anyway. So, go to your local WalMart and pick one up. Make sure to get a nice soft cloth or fake fur to cover the rubber surface (unless of course, you enjoy the rubber surface!). Hot glue works nicely to get the covering to stay in place.

Body Wraps

ONLY FOR THE EXPERIENCED PLAYER! NEVER cover the nose and or mouth!!! If you enjoy body confinement, use Ace bandages or Saran Wrap. ALWAYS have scissors handy, just in case! (Surgical shears are most reliable.)

For Exciting Sensations

If you enjoy feeling different textures on you bare skin, here is a list of inexpensive toys:

  1. Butter/Baster brushes

  2. Feathers

  3. Skid stoppers (those new rubbery things that you use to put under computer keyboards, etc. to stop them from sliding now come in convenient rolls and are now sold in popular colors. You can find them at most Wal-Marts or computer stores.)

  4. Lambs wool (a popular item for babies to sleep on -- can also be found at pet stores to line pups bed.)

  5. Pet Brushes (NOT for the faint at heart! Use exteme caution if you like playing with the wire brushes.)

  6. [My personal favortie ;) ] Make-up brushes. (If you can spare the extra few dollars, go to a professional beauty supply and get the really nice big and poofy powder brushes! The really good ones are about $20.)

Using Your Imagination at the Pet Store

The following are especially fun for those who are into Pet Play, but can be fun for all.

  1. Long Leads

  2. Leashes

  3. Collars

  4. Kitty Toys (a lot of these include feathers!)

  5. Rubber bones or balls (make useful Bits and Gags)*

*I never suggest tying these in place unless you really know what youre doing. A simple dont drop this command should suffice.

Just a Tip for Anal Play

ALWAYS use condoms and latex gloves for ANY anal play. If possible, condoms made without lubrication (ie, spermicides like Nonoxynol-9) should be used for this play, as spermicides can be very irritating to delicate tissue -- but ONLY if you trust your partners health. Use a water-based lubricant (like K-Y) instead.

In Closing...

Taking a trip to Wal-Mart, PetsMart, or any such Mart can prove to be a fun and exciting shopping venture for both you and your partner. Just make sure you use common sense along with your imagination when choosing toys. Always TEST your toys in a safe and relaxed invironment BEFORE using them during intense play.
