Information of Anime This is a direct continuation of the first season. The complex love circle continues as most people are thinking that Kenji Harima is dating Yakumo Tsukamoto when he wanted Tenma Tsukamoto. At the same time, Tenma Tsukamoto wants to be with Ooji Karasumaru & many others following the mix. |

Storyline (CONTAINS SPOILERS) Below is a summary of the storyline I've seen. This section does contain some spoilers. If you haven't seen the series yet & don't want to be spoiled, skip this section. If you want to know the story & want to see how I viewed it, read on. Like the first season, the show is broken down to three mini episodes. Sometimes it's four. It seems it going to keep the same style as the first season where we will see love circles, battles, misunderstandings, etc. New characters have been added to the show & they are mainly female high school students. It doesn't have a solid main plot or ending like the first season. But, it focuses on the love circles a bit more with the confusions & rumours running about the school. Plus, the love triangle almost turns into a love circle with four or more people. It gets a lot more complex. The show ends pretty much the same way as the first season did with a hint of possibly a third season. Although Tenma did remember Harima as the pervert that saved her in the past, she forgets about him near the end of the show. |

My Personal Review School Rumble Nigakii is same slapstick comedy anime that you have seen two years ago. Just sit back, relax, & laugh your head off. You don't need to worry about storylines since there doesn't seem to be any at this point. But you should still continue to pay attention about the relationships between characters. If you haven't seen the first season, I would strongly suggest watching that first along with the OVA. The first episode of the show really picks up where the first season left off. Animation The character designs are pretty cute as there are keep the same. The SD & no mouth character designs are still here. The animation movements are usually strange superhuman types again. You get bodies flying around, people getting beat to a pulp, & people lifting super heavy things with ease. Although it's not realistic, it's quite funny & entertaining to watch; especially with the sound effects that comes with them. Sound The sound effect fit the actions very well & the volume is just right. Although a lot of them are on the childish side, it really helps create that anime mood the show offers. The seiyuus here perform their character counterparts well & are the same as the first season. The seiyuu for Karen Ichijou is different though. The original seiyuu left due to scheduling problems, so a new seiyuu, Mako, was selected. So far, I think her voice is fine. The music is on the cute & childish side. A majority of the songs are new & seem to fit the show well. Like the 1st season's, they don't stick to your head very long. Interesting to note are the theme songs. They aren't very funny as the first season's. They are more on the mature side. Story The same format as season one. The anime splits it's episodes into three parts & sometimes four. Sometimes they are linked to one another & sometimes they aren't. It's cleverly done to distinguish the mini-episodes from each other. But, the episodes are now somewhat linked to one another as it seems to be heavily set on the school's festival; before & after. Again, there's no storyline, but the character development is still the same & developing. You need to continue to focus on the relationships that occur between characters. The characters that you should pay attention to are Tenma & Harima as they are the main characters in the series. It seems the show is making this love circle more focused than before. As I watched more & more of it, it made me feel that the show may have a plot but it actually doesn't. The ending is the same as the first season as it leaves the viewers wanting more. This time though, there was some indication of a third season as it may start off in England if it actually happens. Overall Conclusion School Rumble Nigakki really lives up to it name based on the amounts of laughs you can get from watching it. Even though it's silly with little realistic things you can relate to, you should just let yourself go & enjoy. I highly recommend watching this if you are into comedy with strange love elements involved. Although the humour is pretty much the same as season one, they are still funny. This show is hard to put down. However, you would need to watch or know about the 1st season in order to understand what's going on. I give School Rumble Nigakki a nine out of ten on its report card. The anime is filled with a lot of laughs that I can't contain myself at times. There are some scenes that made me burst out with loud laughter. I couldn't stop myself from watching one episode & had a need for more. Sadly, the show still doesn't end well as you will be craving for more. |
