When I first saw these from Tora no ana's website, I was stunned.  I liked how the sceneries were designed & I wanted to get them.  I managed to get these at my local Japanese hobby shop about 3 months after it was released.  The owner got them for a long time, but didn't know he had them until he started digging into his inventory.  I was fortunate enough to get a set from him, but it was missing the secret figure that I didn't know about.

Some of the pictures aren't clear & good.  If I have time, I'll redo the bad ones & repost them.

Tsukihime Palm Scenery 1 Trading Figures Package

I want to comment on the box.  It really has that Type Moon design feel in it.  However, the other sides of the box kind of made it look cheap.  It contained pics of the actually trading figures, but it was poorly displayed in my view.

Palm Scenery 1 Trading Figure Normal Full Set

This is the normal full set.  It has Arcueid, Satsaki, Ciel, Sion, & Shiki.  The secret figure is Nero.  I think it has him opening 1 side of his coat to unleash some monsters out of him.  I think I have seen it once from an online auction.  I believe it's probably hard to get that figure since the owner from the store I got these from allowed me to open up his only inner box, which I think has 10 pieces inside.  Currently, I'm trying to find Nero by myself & I think he's really pricey.  There is an alternative clear blue version of the figures.  So there is a total of 12 trading figures in the series.

There isn't much accessories for these trading figures.  Not pictured is Sion's hat & Shiki's glasses.  The reason why I don't display them is because I'm concern that I might lose them.  Neko Ren comes as an accessory with Sion.

In terms of assembly, there isn't much to build.  Most of the figures come pre-built as 1 piece.  The scenery bases are pretty much the only things you assemble here.  They aren't hard to assemble really.  However, Ciel's seven heaven was a bit hard to put on her hand since the handle was soft ABS.  Also, Shiki doesn't stand on his base well as displayed in pictures I've seen.  I should mention that most of the points are very sharp.

It's the sceneries that made me pay these trading figures.  Although a lot of them are static poses, it gives off that dark feeling to it.  Arc's scenery may be an exception though since it's feels much light.  Sion isn't met to stand like that.  She's suppose to lie down.  I put her like this because it's more easier to see her than her lying pose.  These types of poses are mainly meant to be put under a coffee table in order to see & feel it's expressions better in my view.

The paint used here is very dull.  It's quite flat.  Also, the skin is in a very dark pale colour.  It's not as bright as shown in the pics here.  I'm quite surprised of how these pics those out actually.  I didn't use flash & the skin colours look very natural.  When you see the actual product with your own eyes, they look like ghosts instead.  It's really pale than shown in those official pics.  The purpose of the paint used, I believe, is to create a dark feeling for these trading figures.  Let's talk about the detailling now.

The blood on Satsaki's hands really stands out, especially on the floor.  It really looks natural dried up blood.  Very nice touch.

Some of the tattoo markings on Ciel's arms are etched in nicely while 1 of them looks sloppy.  It's mainly because of the size of it & the number of lines drawn inside it.  There is some unevenness on some parts because of the poor molding job in shaping the arm. The designs & letterings on Ciel's Seven Heaven are etched in quite well for something that small.  It's very clean..

The yellowish-orange linings on Sion's shirt is ok, but not the greatest.  Some parts have lines thicker than others like the badge on her right sleeve.  But, the colour tone is even.  No spot is in a different tone than others.

Shiki's base is very nice.  The lines that only he can see really gives off that death effect.  Plus, the red bloodlines are painted nicely.

The faces of Tsukihime's universe

The faces aren't like the ones from the game, manga, or anime.  It's totally different.  However, they do retain some nice facial expression that fit the characters are displayed in; such as Satsaki's sad expression after her killing spree.  But, I'm still not too keen on some of their faces.  The faces just look a bit freaky.  Out of all of them, Ciel looks the best as it closely resembles the original game & anime's designs.  On to the detailling.

Overall, the paint job is actually not bad.  I don't think they are etched in, especially the eyes.  Although they don't look like their original counterparts, it's painted good.  Very well balanced.

Overall Conclusion

Tsukihime Pam Scenery 1 Trading Figures are pretty good, but failed to meet my expectations.  Although the sceneries are good & gives off that dark feeling, the face designs & pale colours were things that I didn't suspect.  Nevertheless, it's a pretty good set.  I haven't put them back in their boxes since I opened them.  However, I have broken Arc off the rail when clean her.  I managed to fix it by gluing her butt back to the rail since the peg broke out in the hole.

Tsukihime Pam Scenery 1 Trading Figures gets a 7.5/10.  The designs portray the sceneries with a nice dark feeling with it's choice of pale colours.  Those colours however made it lose some points because it's really pale.  Plus, the face designs are pretty nasty.

If you want to look for this set, you will have troubles find it.  These were produced in very small numbers & sold out quickly when they were released.  I don't know what the market price for these are, but I'm pretty sure it's higher than the original Japanese retail price.
