Introduction

When I heard about these Rozen Maiden Träumend Unlimited Charm Vol. 3: Suiseiseki Ring of Contract earrings coming out in the market, I was iffy about it.  I was thinking if I should preorder them or not.  I did have some itching for some earrings for my ear, but I was thinking these are a bit girly.  After it was released, I stopped thinking about them until I was thinking if I could use them as a necklace instead.  A ring around a chain sounded cool.  So, I placed an order for them at YesAsia.

Some of the pictures aren't clear & good.  If I have time, I'll redo the bad ones & repost them.

The Review

Packaging of Rozen Maiden Träumend Suiseiseki Ring of Contract earrings

The packaging of the Rozen Maiden Träumend Unlimited Charm Vol. 3: Suiseiseki Ring of Contract earrings is a bit plain.  I think this is the same way that is packaged for many jewelries with a plain white box.  On one side, you see the official TBS hologram product sticker & the description of the product with the price including tax.

Casing of the earrings

The casing is made of soft material with a rough surface.  It's kind of like rubber.  The casing is suppose to be a copy of the doll cases in the Rozen Maiden series & it's not too badly done with the gold etching of the rose.  Underneath, you have in gold the copyright stuff from PEACH-PIT.  The case is soft where you can bend it.  The casing is bent in on the upper right side when I got it.  It was probably due to shipping damages during transportation.

Open the casing & you get a fairly nice presentation.  Under the lid, you have the Rozen Maiden Träumend in gold on some nice black cloth.  You also see some sort of white cotton-like fluff to protect the earrings from dirt & damage.  On top of it is a sheet of paper with SOL International's contact info & how to handle the earrings in Japanese.  Removing the fluff & you get your earrings.

You get a pair of Suiseiseki's Ring of Contract earrings & two pairs of mechanisms to wear them on stuck on a black sponge.  You get the usually hook types for your pierced ears.  If you have no pierced ears like me, you can use the clamp devices to wear them.  SOL International says that the earrings are made of 0.925 Sterling Silver, which I think is the lowest quality of silver.  I'm no jewelry expert, so I could be wrong.  However, your everyday silverware (e.g. knives, forks, & spoons) are made from this material.  So, it's not too surprising to find that these are made from cheap materials.

You can't really see it from the pic, but the earring isn't crafted too well.  It's more like someone dinging it all over.  It's got the nice rose shape, but it only looks good if you look at it closely.  From afar, it looks like clumped metal.  But factoring the size of the rings, it's considered descent I suppose.  The weight may be a bit heavy on the ears.  I don't know how reliable the clamp device is on the ears, but I think the hooks would be the best device to use for long time period usage.

Overall Conclusion

Ever since I brought the Rozen Maiden Träumend Unlimited Charm Vol. 3: Suiseiseki Ring of Contract earrings, I haven't wore them once.  Initially, I wanted to wear them as a necklace.  But it's too small to do it when I saw the actual size.  Also, I only wanted to wear one ring.  Personally, I won't be wearing them as they don't seem to be good on guys.

The Rozen Maiden Träumend Unlimited Charm Vol. 3: Suiseiseki Ring of Contract earrings gets an eight out of ten.  It's not badly made & doesn't use cheap materials.  Considering it's design, it's pretty fashionable for casual & formal wear in my opinion.  However, unless you look at it close up, it's looks like a clump of smashed metal from a distance really.

The Rozen Maiden Träumend Unlimited Charm Vol. 3: Suiseiseki Ring of Contract earrings are now hard to get.  I managed get them about three months after they were released.  Now, Sol International doesn't have these in stock in their own warehouse.  So finding these will now be a challenge.  As for pricing, it's probably at the suggested Japanese retail price.  Don't think these will go up in price.
