Introduction

This is & will be the only regular Pinky: St figurine that I would own.  I didn't know each of these Pinky's have a name & I don't know where people get them from.  Anyways, I brought Sumire from eBay.  The reason why I brought this is because it looked cute.  This Pinky has been re-released once already.

Some of the pictures aren't clear & good.  If I have time, I'll redo the bad ones & repost them.

Sumire out of the package

Sumire comes in the standard Pinky: St blister card packaging.  She comes with two bodies: a school uniform & street clothing.  Accessories include a tie, violin case, & leggings to make her cargo shorts into cargo pants.

Sumire from different sides

This is the reason why I brought Sumire.  It is that pose & head that attracted me into purchasing it.  The pose is very cute with the right foot raised  & both of her arms in front of her.  The problem with that pose is it doesn't stand well.  There have been times where she tips over.  It can be hard to balance her cause of her footing.

The paint job of this Pinky isn't too bad since it's most one colour.  Observe the back of Sumire's uniform.

I can't really tell, but I believe those letters are etched in & it doesn't look too bad.  Although there are some minor white bleeding, it's not too bad.

The molding job is kind of bad though.  The left side of Sumire's hair has some deep long cuts from the molding process.

For you people who customize their Pinkys, Sumire's back hair is removable.  Speaking of that, check out what her hair clip says.

It took me about a couple of months to realize there were some words there.  Again, I believe those are etched in &  it's pretty sharp.

Sumire in street clothing

This extra body has been used in past Pinky products before, I believe, but repainted.  As you can see in the middle pic, the legging part makes Sumire's shorts into pants.  I prefer the pants over the shorts.  On her left side of the shirt, there is a badge there.  I wasn't aware of it until I started taking pics of her for this review.  However, I can't make out what it says.  Also, I prefer her school uniform over this.

Sumire's face looks like she's kind of pissed off a bit.  The expression is quite soft.  Before I brought her, I thought it was a face of shyness or neutral like Rei from Evangelion.  It's not bad nevertheless, especially the paint job on her face.  Nice & even.  And of course, those famous Pinky blushes add the finishing touch to the cuteness factor.

Overall Conclusion

Sumire isn't a bad Pinky.  Since I don't do personal customization of my Pinky's, I like it the way it is.  I have changed her body a couple of times & placed her in other parts of the house, but never have I put her back in her package.

In terms of grading, Sumire receives an 8.5/10.  The pose is an attention grabber to me & the paint job is good.  The lost points came from the molding problems it had.  However, this problem may be only from my Pinky.

Getting this Sumire isn't too hard.  Although it has been reissued, it's not flying off the shelves as fast as it first came out.  It's possible to get her at prices lower than the Japanese retail price.
