Introduction After falling victim of buying Kotobukiya's Welcome to Pia Carrot!! G.O. 1/8 Ayano Kunugi PVC, I ended up buying Mimori Kugahara next from J-Hobby. I think I'm falling into old habits in getting the entire Pia Carrot!! G.O. lineup. Someone save me! Currently, I have Mimori in her box. Don't have room to display her. Some of the pictures aren't clear & good. If I have time, I'll redo the bad ones & repost them. |

The Review Looking the box, Mimori is complete & doesn't require any assembly with the exception of attaching her to the solid sky blue base that's included. Mimori's pose looks a little plain. It's not really a static pose & it's not an appealling one. Because she's standing on one foot, there is a chance that the figurine will bend due to her weight & careless treatment by placing her in areas that are hotter than room temperature or under direct sunlight. From the looks of it, she's probably pretty light. When I picked up the box, it's not really heavy as most 1/8 PVC figures. I don't think there will be a bending problem due to weight as her right foot is flat on the base. For the details, there isn't a lot really. Mimori's clothing is basically one colour with no designs on it. The paint job is not bad. The zipper on her vest is well done, but her sneakers suffer some minor bleeds over the white areas. As for molding, nothing serious or noticeable problems seen when I was examining her in the box. No holes or bumps yet. Although Mimori's face looks the same as the original game design, it looks heavy. The boldness of the colours really gave me that feeling. Observe how heavy the colours are in her eyes, especially the black eye linings. The bottom parts has some bleeds, otherwise it's very sharp. |

Overall Conclusion Currently, I can't really give a solid rating for the 1/8 Mimori Kugahara PVC figurine. If I was to grade her now, I would say a seven. The pose is so-so as it's very plain & boring. Also, I don't know how strong her right leg is in supporting her weight from bending. The workmanship is good with some small flaws here & there in the paint job. Her face looks good, but it's very bold from other PVC figures that I've seen. Finding Mimori isn't a problem as a lot of stores, particularity online ones, still have her in stock. You can find her on online auctions as well. In terms of the price, it's pretty much the suggested Japanese retail price. But, you can probably find her cheaper in some places. Beware though, there are bootlegs of Mimori floating around. But, don't get confused with the American version that Kotobukiya USA released of her. |
