Introduction

Nana Kimishima Paro Paro Type is one of two figures to appear in the final wave of Kotobukiya's Welcome to Pia Carrot!! 3 PVC series.  This is also marks Nana's first appearance in the product lineup.  Like the others, this was originally sold as a resin model kit that has been discounted for a long time.  I pre-ordered the entire wave from YesAsia when it was first announced. 

Some of the pictures aren't clear & good.  If I have time, I'll redo the bad ones & repost them.

The Review

Nana Kimishima Paro Paro Type out of the box

Two steps: take Nana out of the box & display.  It's that simple.  Even though a display base is included, you don't need it.  Nana can stand on her own well.  I don't know why Kotobukiya included a base since there are no pegs to attach the figurine with.

Nana from different sides

A plain & static pose from Nana.  No doubt that is a pose to serve customers, except for the kneeling part.  I can't really comment much on it.  It doesn't give much energy since it was plain.  Let's examine the fine detail work on Nana.

The patterns on Nana's dress & collar is pretty good.  However, there is some uneven parts on it; as if it wasn't completed.  The pattern on her collar shows it a bit.  There is some very minor paint bleeding around the hem of her dress.  The Pia Carrot button is actually good.  In fact, I think it's better than any of the past figurine's that has this button.  A sign of improved workmanship!  The tray mold from Sayaka Takai Tropical Type is used again here.  Although the letter engraving look good, there seems to be some sign of aging from the mold as it doesn't look as crisp as before.

Smile!

Although the painting details done on Nana's facial expression is good, it's kind of plain to me.  It's cleanly done with no bleeding to show that gentle smile.  It might be me, but her smile didn't give a lot of energy.  It might be the fact that I got too use in seeing that kind of smile from the past figurines in this product lineup.

Overall Conclusion

Nana Kimishima Paro Paro Type didn't give an impression that would make me satisfied.  It's a nice figurine,but it might not be an impressive one to me.  The pose was unique & natural nevertheless.  She's still on display & never put back in her box once.

The workmanship went down a bit on the work on Nana's uniform, but the other small detail work did make up for it a bit.  There is nothing wrong with the figurine that would make it look out of balance.

I rate Nana a 7.5/10.  It's pretty plain to me when I pulled her out of the box.  It didn't give me the energy that I got from the past figurines.  It was pull, examine, & display for me.

I pretty much brought Nana Kimishima Paro Paro Type because I wanted to complete the collection of this series.  This figurine is now no longer available.  It hasn't been reissued before & probably with no plans on it happening.
