Introduction

I took a liking for the Mizuiro gashapon set when it was at the stage where it was quite rare & expensive.  I brought a set at J-Hobby when the owner was able to located a gashapon supplier in Japan that had some old & expensive gashapon sets.  Got them for a good price at the time.  That was the same time where I talked to the owner about my anime business & looking for suppliers.

Currently, I don't have this set out of their packaging yet.  No room to display them.

Some of the pictures aren't clear & good.  If I have time, I'll redo the bad ones & repost them.

The Review

Mizuiro Gashapon set in package

There are six figurines in this gashapon set.  If you are really picky, you would say seven since one of them has two figurines in one gashapon.  The characters in this set are Hiyori Hayasaka, Yuki Katase, Shindo Mutsuki, Kiyoka Onosaki, Kouzu Asami, & Hiyori & Yuki as kids.

As you can see from the gashapon paper, the poses are a mixture of static & dynamic.  Not only that, the clothing looks kind of plain despite the fact it's the same as the game.  It's all plain dresses really.  I remember seeing these gashapons on display before at an anime store & they are quite big.  As for the detailing, it looks okay in the package & at the display I saw makes it look average.  It wasn't the very best, but it was okay.  It could be different when I take a closer look at them.  Also, I don't know if these figurines assemble well & hold into place securely. 

Overall Conclusion

Currently, I can't grade the Mizuiro Gashapon set since they are still in the packaging..  I'll redo this review when I assemble them & have the time

If you are looking for Mizuiro Gashapon set, find them on online auctions.  I haven't seen any store carrying this anymore at the suggested Japanese retail price.  They sell them at a premium really.  You can find them much cheaper on auctions.  Chances are they are authentic since these are actually dead stock in Japan.  The Hong Kong dealers probably got a bunch of them there, which may explain the low prices.
