Introduction When I saw & heard about this Okiraku box, I did some research on it. Aside from the figurine being the main attraction, I was more interested in the CD as it contained computer goodies. I'm a sucker for that stuff. It took me a time to get this until I got it from an eBay auction at a pretty descent price. There are two versions of the Lucky Star Okiraku box. There's Konata Izumi & Kagami Hiiragi. Both are the same thing with different contents focusing on the feature character more. Some of the pictures aren't clear & good. If I have time, I'll redo the bad ones & repost them. |

The Review
The Okiraku box contains Konata figurine, a computer goodies CD, a guidebook, & a memo book that belongs to Konata. The book is A5 size & contains 32 pages. It contains content about the series, manga strips, info about the CD program included, & the TV anime show. It's mainly a fanbook really. The CD is backed with a lot of computer goodies. Click here for more info & some download samples. The memo book is actually used like the real thing. The book is made of plastic leather like normal memo books. It's funny that it has a table of contents on it. There is a large section where you can put down notes & a small address/phonebook section. Near the end, there's an info section of Konata as it is "her" book. But you put your own personal information in there instead. I decided to scan the figurine since I didn't feel like taking her out due to space. The figurine isn't bad made as I thought or seen on the ad pics. Molding job is descent & the painting is good. Not too bad really. Konata comes with an orange based bearing the Lucky Star logo with that lazy cat. I find this figuinre to be cute as it shows Konata's character well. The design is based on the manga; not the anime. I'll redo this part when I actually get Konata out.

Overall Conclusion The Lucky Star Okiraku Box Konata Version is a nice set for Lucky Star fans. Has a nice set of items in it at a attractive price. On a scale of ten, the Lucky Star Okiraku Box Konata Version receives a 8.5/10 so far. The reason for the score is because I don't have Konata out. With a low price, it has a nice set of goodies for your collection & computer. For me, I find the CD to be worth it since I like computer goodie anime stuff. Most people would be going for the figurine. I personally recommend getting this Okiraku box for collecting & computer customizing sake. Die hard Lucky Star fans will probably get this along with the Kagami version as well. |
