Introduction

The first time J-Hobby got them, I missed out.  They was only one box left so I figured I was too late to get them.  Later, the owner had them again since they were from a surface shipment.  That's when I hit the jackpot & got myself a full set.  The reason why I'm so determined to get them is because they look cute & funny.

Some of the pictures aren't clear & good.  If I have time, I'll redo the bad ones & repost them.

The Review

Kimi ga Nozomu Eien Diorama: Legend of Haruka Trading Figure box

There are five dioramas in this set.  One of them is a variation of a diorama.  Why it's called Legend of Haruka is because a strip manga found in the Kimi ga Nozomu Eien Memorial Artbook.  The manga mainly involves Haruka Suzumiya as the main character where she goes into a lot of misfortunate events & gets into trouble.  Pretty cute & funny really.  The dioramas are 3D models of scenes from the manga strip.

The dioramas mainly have Haruka in tight situations.  Takayuki Narumi & Akane Suzumiya are the other characters found in this diorama.  These two supporting characters usually just feel embarrassed, concerned, or run away from Hakura.

The assembly of these dioramas are quite easy as all the pegs are shaped differently.  Some of them are just round circles where you have to do so personal positioning on your own.  When I was assembling them, the pieces felt soft & fragile that I was concern that some of the pieces may break.  Luckily, my wish came true.  I broke the umbrella stem when I tried to attach it with the top on Haruka's head.  So use caution when assembling them.

A majority of the poses aren't static as they involve movements of Hakura struggling.  This is the major reason why I brought these; because Haruka is suffering.  ^_^   The diorama that has Haruka running can be changed with her running in panic or running with an umbrella in panic.  Either way, she's still panicking.  For the alternative diorama where Akane is running away from a burnt out Haruka, the base is the same as the normal variation.  No big surprise there.  However, it would have been nice to cover that hole in the base since Akane has her own mini base where you can freely position her.  The hole can give the impression to people that you are missing a piece.

The paint job isn't too bad, but don't expect much out of it.  Because the diorama has a simple design, you won't see a lot of detail stuff.  For the small areas that have detailed painting, it's not bad.  It's quite clean with very little bleeds.  The pigeons could have used a paint job.  It's looks more like a cloud of smoke than birds.  Although it would a be a lot of work painting each pigeon, this just barely isn't worth its retail price.

The molding job isn't too bad.  The molding of the pigeons is surprising good.  Although it has some minor clumps, the shaping is well done.

With dioramas like that, facial expressions are important & these hit the spot!  The expressions really create the moods of the dioramas well.  The burnt out Haruka is just a "repaint" of the normal Haruka of the same diorama.  Nevertheless, it's funny.

The paint job on these faces is very clean.  No bleeds whatsoever.  Even the eye scribbles on Haruka's face is very clean.

Overall Conclusion

The Kimi ga Nozomu Eien Diorama: Legend of Haruka Trading Figure set is really a nice cute & funny set.  It's got life into it.  Personally, I really recommend getting this if you are fan of Kimi ga Nozomu Eien, love SD stuff, or want something funny & cute.  Currently, I have them on display in separate small display cases & have no plans in putting them away.

The Kimi ga Nozomu Eien Diroama: Legend of Haruka Trading Figure set gets a 9/10.  It's full of life & very funny.  Nice paint jobs & molding.  Plus the facial expression really add that punch.  The bad thing about the dioramas is the fragile parts.  It's soft & really does have a chance of breaking.

Getting these dioramas may be a problem now since these are old. Price wise should still be the same.  I don't expect any raising prices for these.  But, I can see a huge price drops on these.
