Introduction When I saw this Ignis figurine for the first time, I said to myself "Wow! I need to get that!" Although I liked it, I didn't know where it came from. This PVC figurine was one of two first Ignis figurines to be announced; the second one coming from Kaiyodo's BOME collection. But I think Max Factory was the first one to announce the first Ignis PVC figurine in the market. As much as I was waiting for this Ignis to be released, the release date got pushed back a lot. I think the first date was in May 2006. It got pushed down to October 2006 when it finally got released. I got Ignis from J-Hobby & it was the last one. The owner allowed me to take it home first when I realized that I didn't have enough money to get it right away. But I paid for it the next day since I don't like owing people money. This figurine sold out very fast. This Ignis PVC figurine lead to a lot of other variations of Ignis from different companies. Like the rest, this figurine is now discounted. Currently, I have Ingis in her box as I don't have room to display her. I'm really dying to get her out of her box! Some of the pictures aren't clear & good. If I have time, I'll redo the bad ones & repost them. |

The Review Max Factory's version of Ignis comes with her flaming sword & a pair of folded glasses. I'm not sure if you can put the glasses in her hands. You need to do some minor assembly in putting the sword into Ignis' hand & the base that comes with her. The base has a mirror with her symbol on it. It's quite a nice base & I'm not sure if it's used to see what's under her dress. The pose that Ignis is in is what sold me. Her flowing hair, her firm static pose, & swaying clothes. It's sexy. Aside from the pose, the details are great. Although the dress is mainly black, white, & pink, the design patterns are nicely done. You can see some minor bleeds on the white paint here & there, but the workmanship is very good. From the abdomen to the bottom of her dress, very eye-catching. The tattoo that is etched on Ignis's back is pretty nice from what I can see from box windows. I may be bad when I finally get her out of her box, but it looks good for the time being. The sword is molded very well. No bumps or uneven edges. The paint work is very nice as well with the red toning down to black on the blade. Very nice shading work. Plus, the white painted letters look very clean as it is hard to see any unevenness on the letters. Ignis' face is very nicely done. Very clean right down to her pupils. The molding is clean & smooth. Her facial expression really matches that pose is she in. Hot & sexy. |

Overall Conclusion Currently, I can't really give a solid rating for the 1/7 Ignis PVC figurine. If I was to grade her now, I would say a nine. The pose is sexy & matches well with her face. The detailing is very nice from her feet to the tip of her hair. I really like it. But I'm not sure how the assembly to her base & sword is. Finding Ignis will be a major problem for people looking for her. She was virtually sold out the day she was released. At the time of writing this review, she is still one of the highly sought after of all the current Ignis figurines available in the market up to now. When I went back to J-Hobby about three months after got her, the owner told me that people were still asking him for it. There are some people willing to pay high premium prices for her, so you should do the same if you want her very badly. |
