Introduction

I received this UFO prize item Strike Gundam figure from a friend.  He gave this to me as a gift of appreciation for those nights I helped him out in running his booth at the Richmond Night Market that summer.  This Strike Gundam is from Banpresto's Gundam Seed Real Figure series.  This is one of three Gundams in that set.  The other two are Aegis & Buster.

Strike Gundam out of the box

This figure is an UFO prize catcher item & isn't available in stores in Japan.  Judging from the sides of the box, this is for use for the crane machine.

Once you pull Strike from the box, you have to do some minor assembly.  You need to put the right hand with the rifle to its wrist & the shield to its left arm.  Very easy actually.

This Strike Gundam isn't too bad.  It's just a static pose that makes it look like it's ready for battle.  None of the joints move, which was expected since this is just an UFO prize item.  For an UFO prize item, the material is made of soft PVC rubber & it's quite sturdy.

The paint isn't too bad for an UFO prize item.  Some minor bleeding here & there.  The detail work done on it isn't too great.  The shield for example.  It looks quite plain.

The face of Strike is quite good in terms of the fine painting.  The black panel lines are surprisingly quite even.  The paint job isn't too bad.  It's quite smooth.

Overall Conclusion

For an UFO prize item, this Real Figure Strike Gundam isn't too bad to display in your room.  I admit it's quite plain, but I haven't put it back into its box ever since I pulled it out.  However, I sold it away after getting tired of it.

On a scale of ten, Real Figure Strike Gundam receives a seven.  The pose is alright & the paint job isn't bad.  But the figure is quite plain & doesn't really give off a lot of energy to grab some attention.

Like many UFO prize items, this Strike Gundam is impossible to get now.  You may need to search high & low for it if you want it badly.
