Introduction

For some reason, I decided to buy a blind box Gundam Seed Heroines 2 trading figure.  I had no idea why when I could have gotten a set instead.  Out of the box came this Lacus Clyne figurine that I will be reviewing about.  This figurine has been reissued as Bandai's Lacus Figurine Collection series with shiny metallic colours which my sister has.  Both versions are out of production & hard to find now.

Some of the pictures aren't clear & good.  If I have time, I'll redo the bad ones & repost them.

The Review

The Gundam Seed Heroines 2 Box & set

The Gundam Heroines 2 series is the next installment from the previous series & would lead to many more figurines in the later series.  As pictured above, this set contains six + one figurines.  If you don't know already, that secret figurine is Lacus in a flashy wedding dress.

 
Sitting Lacus out of the box

This version of Lacus isn't hard to build. Placing her on that chair isn't hard too.  However, you may have problems getting her right hand to touch the edge of that chair without making look like she'll fall from her chair.

Lacus from different sides

This figurine captures Lacus' graceful character quite well.  Although the pose is quite plain, it gives off a bit of Lacus' charm when you display her.  Observe her hair from the back pic.  I like that hair flow & it looks quite natural with the hairlines molded out.  I should mention that the tips of her hair are quite sharp too.

The paint job on Lacus isn't too bad for a ¥400 trading figure.  The gold trimmings on her sleeves are pretty good with some minor bleeding.  The hairpin on her head is painted evenly.

The colours used are a bit dull.  It doesn't give off a lot of life.  However, Bandai didn't really have a lot to work with as the show did display her clothing in those colours.

Lacus-sama!!!!

The facial work on Lacus' face is excellent.  The etching is well done & the molding is cleaning.  That facial expression captures Lacus' personality dead on.  Gentle with a smile.

Overall Conclusion

This Gundam Seed Heroines 2 Lacus Clyne version isn't too bad in terms of the workmanship.  The pose, however, is quite plain & static.  As of now, she has never been put back to her box since the day I pulled her out of there.

Rating this Lacus trading figurine, I would give it a 7/10.  The workmanship is excellent in terms of the design, molding, & paint job.  The downside of it is its plain pose.  Plus the fact that this mold has been used again for Bandai's other installment, which loses this figurine's impact.

If you are looking for this figurine, you may have a tough time finding it.  Since it has been out of production for a long time already & this is a trading figurine, it's best to look for it at online auctions.  I'm not sure what the collector's value of this trading figurine is.  But, it's safe to say that it's very low.
