Introduction

I brought this CM (short of Cubemate) Gundam for my sister from J-Hobby.  When she opened it, it was a double for her.  Since I like GMs, she gave it to me.  These Cubemates are actually remakes from Bandai's past gashapon set from this series.  It only contains a selected mobile suit from that gashapon set & added some new mobile suits to hide the similarities I believe.  These are sold as trading figures.

Some of the pictures aren't clear & good.  If I have time, I'll redo the bad ones & repost them.

There are ten mobile suits in a set.  There are no secret figures here.  It contains mobile suits from the Mobile Suit Gundam series.

These are basically designed from Medicom's Kurbrick figures.  Since there were popular at the time, some companies started copying its design.  The figures here are movable from the legs, arms, & head only.  So, you can have some limited poses on it.  The GM comes with a gun & shield.  The shield can only be held in front in the upright position.  The figure has a chain on its head so you can use it as a keychain or fastener.

The paint job here is basically etched in.  It's clean with some unevenness on some areas.  Because of the plastic, it's hard to see the etching job in the pic.  Currently, I have no plan to use it yet.

Overall Conclusion

The CM Gundam Cubemate GM RGM-79 isn't a bad figure.  But, it's not exciting as well.  It doesn't give any energy & it's quite plain since it's a GM with very little designs.  As mentioned, this figure is kept away in storage ever since I got it.

The CM Gundam Cubemate passes with a 7/10 score.  The etch job is not bad & it's good that you can use it as a fastener or keychain, ever though it's quite big & clumsy.  The bad part about this is the plain design & how this Kurbrick fad is getting old.  When it was released at the time, that fad was dying out already.

If you are into Lego men & Kurbrick figures, this isn't a bad figure to get; along with the other mobile suits.  Because it has some poseability, Gundam fans may want these to create a diorama scenery of their own.  Getting these now though is quite hard.  I don't know what the market price of these cost now, but I assume it's low due to the number of Gundam stuff out there & their prices not being increased over time.
