Introduction I brought this Chobits UFO prize item plush part 2 set from Sakura Media. I got this when it was out during the first two months. Now, these plushes are extremely hard to get. Also, the plushes in the set have different collector market values than others due to their popularity. Like all UFO prize items, these were never re-released. Some of the pictures aren't clear & good. If I have time, I'll redo the bad ones & repost them. |

The Review There are five plushes in this set. They are Chii in her bakery work uniform, Chii in pajamas, Sumomo, Yumi, & Atashi. As you can see, I still Sumomo & Yumi in their bags. They have been like that for a long time. Like all UFO plushes during its time, the whole thing is thin & flat. Atashi is different though. It's whole body is round. In terms of the workmanship, it's not bad. Chii's hair is cut well at the tips & the sewing job is solid. I do have some problems with the legs on Chii in her work uniform. It's like Chii is doing the splits & I can't fix this since it's made like that when it's not suppose to. The cloth & fabric used here aren't cheap quality that would rip easily.. Chii's ears are made of soft plastic as well as Sumomo's hat I believe. Yumi's jacket on the back has her bar's name in it & it's ironed on nicely. I have no idea if it comes off easily from normal wear. |

Overall Conclusion The Chobits UFO Plush Part 2 set isn't a bad set of plushes to own. I have Atashi sitting on my bedside table & the others in the closet. The Chobits UFO Plush Part 2 set grabs an eight. The design is cute as gives it that CLAMP feeling from the anime. Also, the stitching job is well done with good quality materials. The downside about these is the body. It's flat & hard to make then stand. You need to lean them against a wall or hang them up with those strings on top of their heads. Although I would recommend this set to Chobit fans, this is extremely hard to get now. Atashi was very expensive to get when this set was popular. I have seen it as high as US$100 on eBay before. Now, it sits at US$10 with no one wanting it now it seems. This is probably because the popular of Chobits has died or people were confusing it with the Great Eastern plush version of Atashi. Either way, getting these as a set is quite impossible now. You need to hunt them down one by one and I don't know what the market price of these plushes cost now individually. |
