| There are several pagan religions which are usually simply classified as WITCHCRAFT. But these old religions, which have survived the brutal introduction of Christianity, and hidden behind its shadow, are more than just witchcraft. Here's what!: The Craft, or the ability to perform MAGICK, is actually a prayer, a hymn to nature, and the belief that all things have a hidden power in them. Magick is the manipulation of these powers, for good or for evil purposes. I'd like to add that there is NO devil in this religion. Each person is responisble for his or her own actions, and was NOT tempted in any way by a "devil". The devil, which was first "born" in the Indian mythology, was Christianty's answer to the stubborn refusal to disappear of Witchcraft. Yet, there IS a "Horned Lord", or Pan (Greek mythology), and Christianty claims this to be the devil. The Horned Lord is actually the representation of the ANIMAL KINGDOM in the pagan religion. Along with the Horned Lord is the worship of the Lord and the Lady. |
