WHAT is this?
The average adult needs 8 hours of sound sleep each night. However, most adults get between six and seven hours. Even the missing one or two hours can have a profound affect on one's health.

Insomnia is described as having trouble falling asleep, staying asleep or waking up too early, and can be caused by any number of things. Some of the most common reasons insomnia occurs are stress, depression, anxiety, pain, and even some medications. Medical conditions such as sleep apnea can also cause insomnia. Sleep apnea is more commonly known as the stoppage of breathing while sleeping.

People who don't get enough sleep can suffer greatly if it is not treated.
Depression, heart disease, and other illnesses can occur because of the lack of sleep. You may also have a hard time recovering from an illness or injury if you do not get enough sleep.

Without Sleep
Your mind doesn't work as clearly, you feel physically drained, and you will be less able to cope with every day stresses.
