A red mass (Christians) mobilization took place against a car and a yellow truck with police registration number DE 8003, in the area of Passo, Ambon Baguala Bay. The unfortunate car carried two personnel of Indonesian Army from the ZENI Kodam XVI Pattimura unit. Their name were Serda Yulianto and Kopda Marzuki. At 16.15 East Indonesian Time, it passed through the Passo street and was stopped by the mass, which has caused the death of the two officers, burnt with the car. In addition, a gun typed Thomson, along with 27 bullets of 9 MM caliber, was taken by the mass.

At 10.00 East Indonesian Time, an attack done by the red mass (Christians) from Karang Panjang (Karpang) to the Muslim village of Batu Merah. In less than 3 hours, the people of Batu Merah fought back and pushed the red mass in Karpang backwards. In the incident, 13 victims were lightly injured, 3 were heavily wounded and 2 were dead. The dead ones were Rinto Gunawan, Hukol, who was shot at the chest, and Hasim Rumadan, who was shot at the head, whereas the victims at the Christian side have not been identified. Material loss was more or less 25 houses burnt by the mass. In the same day, the red side attacked the people in the Ponegoro and Wara Village. In Wara Village, victims from the Muslim side were 3 people, namely La Hasan (17 yrs), shot at his right stomach, La Basa (50 yrs), shot at his leg, and La Iwa who was also shot at his leg.
It was predicted that the attack was an infiltration of Christian mass members from Galala and Hative Besar, who wanted to attack the Wara Village.

At 12.00 East Indonesian Time, Friday, the Muslim mass from Nania Village was shocked by a sudden attack from Passo Christian mass. According to an eye witness (Soeleman R.), the Nania Village people, who were going to the Friday Prayer, were suddenly attacked by a group of Christian mass from Passo Village. The Friday Prayer, which was going to be performed, was replaced by a defense to the attacking mass. The fight was known by the members of Leihitu District. The people of this peninsula, who were majority Muslims, helped the Muslim people in Nania. With this help, the Passo Christian mass were pushed back. The fight took place for two days, 19 and 20 November 1999. The fight spread to Waeheru and Negeri Lama Villages. This fight has caused tens of houses to get burnt, 1 mosque was almost burnt and as many as 31 people were shot by the Brimob personnel, 20 people were lightly injured, 10 were seriously injured and 6 were dead from the Muslim side, whereas the victims from the Christian side have not been identified.

This was another incident took place at the same time, at a different place. On 12.00 East Indonesian Time, a fight happened in Ambon Baguala bay, between the speed boat belonging the Muslim against the Christian�s speed boat. The incident was successfully solved by the Ambonese Water Police. However, victims were inevitably fell. The dead was 1 person from the Muslim and 2 from the Christian.
Further on the same day, a fight happened at 08.00 East Indonesian Time, between the Tulehu and Suli Villages, Salahutu District, Central Maluku Regency. It took 2 injured victims from the Muslim and the victims from the Christian side were unidentified.

Talake Dalam
An assembled bomb explosion occurred 6 times. They were thrown by the red mass using catapults, from the Kolam Talake Village. These explosions were quite loud. The white mass started to gather, bringing machetes and other war guns, on the Sultan Baabullah Street, which is directly adjacent to the bombed area. The assembled bomb explosion was accompanied with stone throwing by the red mass to the Muslim houses in the Talake Dalam area, in front of the Telkom Office.
The personnel of Siliwangi who took guard in the local area have not heard shootings. A sermon like sound was heard from the loud speaker of a Christian Church.

Shootings from security personnel could be heard quite clearly.
Kapaha- Tantui
On Tueday, at 18.30 � 03.00 East Indonesian Time, a fight occurred between Jawa Village (Anak Desa Batu Merah), Kapaha (Muslims) Sub-district and the Tantui Village (Christian) who was helped by the Galala members of Sirimau District.
In this incident, tens of houses were burnt and 6 people died, 2 from the Muslim and 4 from the Christian side. The injured victims were 9 from the Muslim and 21 from the Christian. These data were obtained from the local hospital.

Between 16.00 - 04.00 East Indonesian Time, the Christian members of Wailela and the Muslims from Kota Jawa Village were involved in a fight. In this incident, 1 victim fell from the Muslim side and more or less 20 people were injured. Whereas from the Christian side, 3 people were dead (1 of them was an Unpatti lecturer), while injured victims were unidentified.
On the same date, at 23.00 � 03.00 East Indonesian Time, an attack from Kolam Village (Christian) took place towards the Parigi Lima Village, Waihaong Sub-district, Nusaniwe District. There were no victims from this incident. The fight was solved by the security personnel.
Date : 26 November 1999
On this day, Friday, at 09.00 � 18.00 East Indonesian Time, a fight occurred between the Mardika people (Christian) and Batu Merah people (Muslim). This incident was triggered by the Christian Mardika people who attacked and bombed the ARMET Post at the boundary between the two fighting villages. The victims fell from the Muslim side were 18 people and 54 were injured, whereas from the Christian side, it was estimated that around 11.00 East Indonesian Time, 15 people were dead, 52 were injured, while a number of house-shops and houses in Mardika were burnt. Total number of victims were unidentified until late noon. Apart from these victims, 2 members of the security personnel (ARMET) were shot by the Christian members of Brimob and Ambonese Christian civilians who carried organic guns. One of them was dead, namely Prada Suparno. Until the time this news was published, the fight has not been successfully solved by the security personnel.
At 05.30 East Indonesian Time, mass shootings, from the Christian personnel of SATPOL AIRUT in the small bay behind the city of Ambon, caused several injured victims who have not been identified.
At 06.00 East Indonesian Time, continuous shootings were fired by the Poka Christian side to a passenger ship with 150 persons capacity, with route Poka � Pasar Lama. Six people were shot, 5 were injured and 1 was dead.

At 07.00 a continuation fight occurred in Ahuru Village, Karang Panjang. This was a shooting incident by armed civilians. Two Muslims were severely injured from the shooting.
Date : 28 November 1999
A group of Christians attacked the Air Kuning area, near the STAIN Ambon Campus. One Muslim was badly injured by the bomb explosion (his armed was cut off).
At 03.00 East Indonesian Time, there were shootings to 3 Muslim people at the boundary of Mardika and Batu Merah. The shootings took place when the mass gathered towards the direction of a fire point on one of the burning houses in Mardika. One of the shooting victims was Miss Bintarwatu (17 yrs), a shahidah from Wakal Village, Leihitu District, who was among the mass.
At 04.00 East Indonesian Time, the people from Kolam Village (red group), who is adjacent to the Parigi Lima, did bombings to people of Talake and Waihaong. The incident did not take any life. More than 10 bombs exploded with a loud sound.
At 06.00 East Indonesian Time, at the same place, a bomb exploded and continuous shooting occurred from the same source (Kolam Village) towards Talake and Waihaong Parigi Lima. In the incident, 3 Mariner personnel were injured from the shooting. All victims were evacuated to the Army Hospital.
Between 08.30-10.30 East Indonesian Time, the Ambon and Lease Local Police Hall of Residences were bombarded with bombs and shootings from the Christians of Kolam Village. In the incident, 3 personnel of the police force were shot. According to the eye witness, these personnel were shot when they were trying to stop the fire from spreading the Local Police Mosque. The three victims were :
Out of these three victims, one of them who died on the spot was Sertu La Ali (shot at his chest). Whereas his two colleagues were quickly taken to the Army Hospital. Sertu Mapasela was shot at his chest.
A house nearby the hall of residence was burnt using a molotov bomb (using gasoline). This fire spread to nearby houses and caused 6 houses to burn down from the fire. The Local Police Mosque which is adjacent to the fire point was partly burnt.
At 11.00 East Indonesian Time, the trouble spread to the Ambon and Lease Local Police Hall of Residence. This was because several Christians from Petak Sepuluh broke down the wall of the hall of residence. The residents of the hall, who had been living peacefully, had to move to mosques and their relative�s houses in Waihaong and Kebun Cengkeh.
At 06.00 East Indonesian Time, another bomb exploded in the Diponegoro and Pohon Pule Villages. There were no life loss in the incident.
