THE TENSION IN MALUKU

There have been attacks by Christians on muslim community living in muslim minority areas of Masohi and in some other areas in central Maluku where muslims are outnumbered.

In Masohi, the raids left one muslim killed, some injured and two mosques, Nurul Huda and Latuaru moques, burnt down.

The Christians attackers captured Nurul Huda mosque complex which include TK, SD, SMP and SMA school buildings inside.

In a public hospital they seized, all muslim medical staffs, nurses and doctors were expelled including, even, muslim patients undergoing liquid infusion.

In addition, the tension has further escalated following the burning of five muslim’s houses on Baru Street, in front of Al-Fatah grand mosque.
