November 8, saw a group of 15 Network members, 9 nonmembers, 3 member-teachers and me getting together to take part in Blitz 2003. Arriving at Spring Garden Church at 9 am from as far east as Renfrew; west as Windsor and north as Milford Bay, the long distance travellers outnumbered the Toronto area people handily. After a brief welcome and hearty thank you's to those who had a hand in putting the event together, we split into our respective groups and the teachers took over. How lucky we are to be able to count the likes of Ankaret Dean, Glenn Cotton and Irene Hunter amongst our Basketry Network members. In their three totally different workshops, they inspired, imparted experience and knowledge and entertained their groups, all the while progressing to the finished products. The lunchtime Show and Share added a nice touch to the day also. Thank you everyone for making this an excellent day.
