Having brought up a
family of five children on a low budget, Lizi has considerable organisational
skills. She has an artistic and creative
background involving a variety of skills, and is an active artist
and performer.
She has co-designed & coordinated
the permaculture area at Glastonbury festival for the past ten years,
a task involving considerable people management and organisational
skills.
Her experience of co-counseling,
combined with her parent link skills training has given her insight
into group facilitation, mediation, and listening skills, which
is useful in any group process & decision making.
Lizi has also been involved with
native american medicine wheel teachings &
ceremonies during the last ten years. She is
passionate about life, nature, creativity, community, real democracy,
community involvement and empowerment. As her commitment BASE shows.
BASE began in 1994 as a campaigning
group, which under her direction and involvement, is now evolving
into a performance troupe, empowering young artists and performers.
During April 2001 Lizi initiated
"The First Street Art Project " in Totnes. Together with
a "Totnes Youth Arts Festival" in June, 2001 and October
2002. Involving herself with both the performance
& organizational sides of
these events.
Lizi has also been actively involved
in the development of the International Multi-Cultural Summer School
of Drum/Dance/Song & Ceremony. Initiated by "The Tribe
Of Doris", and held annually under canvas, she drums, sings,
dances and has her own movement and meditation practice.
