1.2 - Post Hoc, Ergo Propter Hoc

Episode Number - 102
Original Airdate - September 29, 1999
Written by - Aaron Sorkin
Directed by - Thomas Schlamme

Despite warnings from fellow office workers, Sam presses his luck when he continues his friendship with the call girl Laurie (Lisa Edelstein). CJ tries to defuse a potentially nasty public clash between the President and his wilful Vice President (Tim Matheson) concerning the Veep's quotes about a bill favoured by the chief executive. Josh is unimpressed by Leo's choice for the new media director, who just so happens to be his ex-girlfriend, Mandy Hampton. The President forges a kinship with a young African-American Navy captain (Reuben Santiago-Hudson) who's substituting for his regular White House physician.
