Hey there friends

Nowt much on this page at the moment, apart from "Attack of the flying Afro-Barrys" so I thought I'd take this time to tell you a bit about myself

I got into this whole website & music stuff through my good friends in Hindsight - check out their site on the websites page - they needed someone to create a site for them, and needed a real character at that. So in essence, that was when Barry Average came to the limelight, althugh I'd been around long before that, Ken always used Barry's name from time to time, even used to sing Karaoke under my name as a pseudonym, can you believe that? Before that ex-Hindsight drummer Martyn also went under the alias of Barry Average, so you can see I've been around longer than a lot of people think

So Hindsight needed a website, I accepted the challenge & learnt HTML coding. Nothing too amazing, everything you see on my sites is pretty basic, all hand coded, with the exception of one or two scripts that I used (such as the games on this site) that other scripters share on internet sites. There's nothing too difficult about what I do, anyone who has a basic understanding of HTML coding will tell you how easy it is to pick up, and I've certainly enjoyed learning stuff

You'll see for the sites I've done this is the 4th I've built, all music related. The other 2 sites belong to friends of mine who play in bands but don't have the time or means to constuct their own sites, so I did them a basic site & showed them the basics of how to update. I just love having some sort of project to work on, helps me cement my knowledge of what I've learnt so far, and pick up a few new ideas & tricks along the way. I've also developed my horizons as far as art & design goes, which was one of the things I was concerned with initially, but I'm more comfortable with now
