General Information
Weather : May to November are the best months for hiking the
Inca Trail as far as weather is concerned!
Temperatures at that time of year tend to range from 10-20°C (nice and
temperate) but it will become cooler as we climb higher – becoming close to
zero at night. The weather can change
dramatically and quickly so we must be prepared for cold and wet weather –
there is an average of 3 rainy days per month in May so we are not likely to
get too damp! But it is still absolutely
vital to bring some warm clothes and waterproofs with us as there is nothing
worse than being cold and wet.
Language : Spanish – we have been told not to worry if we
aren’t fluent as we will be accompanied by local English speaking guides. However our local guides will hugely
appreciate it if we can say just a few words.
