My Mum: Swiss Champion in baking Oepfelchuechli [small apple pies]!
The recipe in English....

Ingredients for 4 people:

4 big apples
2 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp lemon juice
half lemon skin rubbed
2 tbsp Kirsch (Cherry Schnaps)
3 tbsp flour
cinamon sugar
oil

batter:
200gr flour
2.5 dl milkwater or light beer
1 tbsp oil
2 yolk
half tbsp salt
sugar
1 white of egg, stiff

mix all ingredients, except the stiff white egg, together to a smooth batter;
leave the batter a couple of minutes, then mix with the stiff egg

peel the apples and remove the core;
cut the apples in 0.5 - 1 cm slices, drip Kirsch, sugar and lemon juice on it and add the rubbed lemon skin

turn the apples first in flour than in the batter and deep-fry it;
than turn the fryed apples in cinamon sugar and serve it warm with vanilla sauce
