Formed at the start of 2003, the band played their first gig at Camden's famous Dublin Castle in May 2003. The original line-up featured Rishab Baruah, Chi Taylor and Mikey V. After the first two gigs, Gary Sherin joined on bass. The gigs included such famous venues as the Bull & Gate, the Metro Club and Gossip's.

The band's demo CD featured power-pop hit "React", live favourite "Spies and fallen angels", and the previously unheard ballad "The last lost love letter". As time went on, the live set increased in power and diversity, featuring such powerful songs as "Why can't I have you?", "Tomorrow you will lose me" and indie hip-hop fusion "Into the future"

BaRabica showed the world that a young, ethnically diverse band could overcome preconceptions and simply play solid pop songs with real emotion. Although the band are now over, the musical journey continues - Gary is writing songs with his "other" band, Rish is planning his next project, and Chi is now touring the world with Mercury-nominated The Go! Team.
