Where are you
going in life?

Most people do not know why they are here or where they are going. Does this describe you?
Do you want to be happy? Have you thought about what will make you happy?
Basically, there are three things that most people think will make them happy:
1. Money
2. Prestige
3. Pleasure
Yet, there are people who have all these things and they are still unhappy. Why? It is because greed has no satisfaction level. When you got it, it is either not enough and you want more or something different.
Happiness is not found in “things” because “things” always grow
old. Happiness is found in knowing your purpose in life and fulfilling that
purpose.
Do You Know
Your Purpose in Life?
How fulfilling is it to believe that you are a biological accident without design or purpose other than to perpetuate the human race? Exciting huh?
However, scientists have discovered in the last two decades the miracle of DNA. DNA proves that people don’t come from monkeys but that every specie reproduces after their own kind just as God repeatedly says in Genesis almost 6 thousand years ago. You are not a biological accident.
Scientists are now defining the “big bang” as a very carefully controlled instant creation by some super Being or Beings just like the Bible says in Genesis almost 6 thousand years ago. You were created.
Some leading non-Christian scientists of our day clearly see evidence of a Designer or Creator just as Genesis says:
“A common sense interpretation of the facts suggests that a superintellect has monkeyed with physics, as well as with chemistry and biology, and that there are no blind forces worth speaking about in nature. The numbers one calculates from the facts (mathematical probabilities) seem to me so overwhelming as to put this conclusion almost beyond question.” - Sir Fred Hoyle, astrophysics
Life Does Have
Purpose
That Super Intellect is the God of the Bible. God says in His word that He created man to rule over the earth.
“And God said, Let us make man in our image...and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth...” - Gen. 1:26
God intended man to enjoy the tremendous benefits of an abundant life without pain or sorrow of any kind.
When God finished creation, He looked over all that He had made and said it was “very good.”
Why aren’t you and other people experiencing such happiness if this was God’s design?
What Went
Wrong?
Man has the natural desire to be BOSS and to ignore God’s principles for living. Have you ever heard phrases like:
“nobody is going to tell me what to do”
“If it feels good, do it, regardless of what God or anyone else thinks”
“It’s my life and I’ll do what I please”
The Bible calls this kind of attitude “sin.” Sin is the refusal to submit to your Creator as the boss of your life. Sin is rebellion against all authority. Sin is rebellion against the ultimate authority which is God. Although God designed you to rule over all the earth, He did not design you to rule over Him or to trample over others nor live any way you please.
This attitude of “rebellion” separates you from God and all his blessings.
“But your iniquities have separated between you and your God...” - Isa. 59:2
Since God is the source or “fountain of life” the result of this separation is that we suffer everything that leads up to and then climaxes in death.
When our relationship with God is not right, it causes problems in every other area of our lives - marriage, career, relationships, finances, etc. These problems are the consequences of our sinful nature that strives to be boss.
Think about it. If everyone in the world has the nature to be boss then there can only be war between individuals and nations as the only way to be boss is to bring all others into submission to your will. Isn’t that the description of human history? Divorce is the result of two people who want to be boss and neither want to submit to the other - the result is separation. Wars between nations are the result of each nation wanting their own way and resisting each other. Isn’t this the reality of our present world and your own life?
You are not enjoying God’s blessings for your life simply because you have excluded God from your life and refuse to submit to His will. Your problem is a spiritual one. You are separated from your Creator Who is also the source of LIFE.
What’s the
Solution?
Obviously, you must return to God and submit to His will in order to find His purpose for your life and experience the happiness He designed for you.
However, you must return by God’s way and not by the way you think best.
God has provided one way for sinners to return. That way is repenting of your sins and believing in the gospel of Christ. “I am the way, the truth and the life, no man cometh to the Father but by me.” - Jn. 14:6
Many attempt to add their own “good works” plus believing in Jesus. Read what Jesus will say to these people at the Judgment:
“Many in that day will say unto me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name, and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works. And then I will profess unto them, I never knew you, depart from me ye that work iniquity.” - Mt. 7:22-23
The way of “good works” will not get you God’s favor because in God’s sight nothing is “good” unless it is absolutely “perfect.”
“...except your righteousness shall EXCEED the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees ye shall in no case enter into the Kingdom of heaven.....Be ye therefore PERFECT even as your Father in heaven is perfect.” - Mt. 5:20, 48
God only lets perfect people into heaven. The problem is that you and I are not perfect. That is why we must come to God by His way. God has provided a way for us to be perfect. That way is called the “gospel”. It means “good news.”
The good news is that Christ, Who is perfect became our SUBSTITUTE before God and provided everything we need to enter heaven. His life completely satisfied God’s law of righteousness for us and His death completely satisfied God’s wrath against us. He will save all who will acknowledge their sins and repent and trust in Him for salvation. It is a FREE gift to whosoever will repent and believe!!
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth upon Him, should not perish but have everlasting life.” - Jn. 3:16
Why doesn’t everyone gladly come to Christ then and be saved? Unfortunately the Bible says “The Lord looked down from heaven...to see if there were any that did..seek God...there is none...no not one” (Psa. 14:2-3). Men love their sin!
However, God graciously has chosen to give many to Christ to save in spite of such foreseen resistance, “As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him” (Jn. 17:2). Christ says that “All that the Father giveth me shall come unto me and he that cometh unto me I will in no wise cast out” (Jn. 6:37).
Where are you going in
life? Without Christ you are going down an unhappy road that leads to an
even more miserable place called hell. You need your life turned around. Is God dealing with you now? Is He calling you to come back to Him? The
Bible says that “....as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.” (Acts
13:48). Are you one of those? You are if you’re willing to repent and
trust Christ to save you. Where are you going?
