| Perhaps no Biblical doctrine has stirred so much controversy than the doctrine of Christ's return. It is not the purpose of this page to cause unnecessary friction between brethren but simply to challenge the popular thinking on this subject. Victory Baptist Church believes that the Bible clearly teaches two basic truths concerning the Lord's return of which most reject one or the other. First, even from a superficial reading of the book of Acts it can be clearly seen that the Bible teaches that there were necessary preceding events to the rapture that not only spanned the entire apostolic age but well after into our own generation. Second, the Bible clearly teaches that we are to be watching ALWAYS for His return. Some have said it is impossible to reconcile these two truths, however, we beleive that they reconcile perfectly. We would ask our readers to consider carefully the article entitled "Can we Know the Time of His coming". - Pastor Mark W. Fenison |

FACT #10: There is no comparable text for the Pretrib position and every text they do use for such a coming must be READ IN by use of inferences FACT #11: 2 Thes. 2:1-3 warns against any kind of Pretrib teaching |
