BELIAL

Belial is a demon, recognized as an entity of great power among their kind and is the 68th recorded spirit in the sacred Ars Goetia.
Belial is a spirit of the deepest, blackest soil, the natural human spirit, and the Martyr of Darkness. One of the greatest disciples to the Lord of The Earth, they spark the call for rebellion in people, influencing them to knock down the authorities and injustices that hold them. They champion this upheaval through grand statements or presentations, empowering those who follow them through physical and social defiance. To those who prove themselves most for these ends, they offer dignities that are characterized by influence through wisdom, philosophy and experience with struggle, hereby known as "Senatorships". They command a court of around 300,000 demons.

Since long times past, it has been said that those who follow Belial or act in their stead are known as "Children of Worthlessness", as they do not conform to law or social standings and actively live against it. Their true form is difficult to determine, but they are often alike to a great shadowy presence, lurking and looming like the intensity before a disaster. This form can prove terrifying, even to those who fawn in awe of them, and they (in the most definitive sense) resemble a powerful beast in the way that they carry themselves. If it is neccessary, they may erupt into a likeness bright and burning, settling down into something almost angelic, speaking with a comely voice as to properly diplomatize for the leagues of dissidents that surround them.

Everything that concerns Belial's goals ultimately lead to revolution, as they have a strong distaste for bureaucracy and believe that it is the natural state for Earth creatures to live and operate freely. One could say that the rebellious nature of demonic practices and worship stem from their teachings, and thus attracting others into these ambitions greatly pleases them and may convince them to offer splendid familiars for aid. Counter-cultures or forms of "underground" group lifestyles (like the punk scene that was famously attributed to Satanic influence, for example) are the natural environments of Belial. Regardless of their allegiance, the power of this enormous spirit should not be underestimated, and they will often not act cooperatively with direct requests unless those who desire it prove themselves through action or offerings.
