AGARES

Agares, also known as Aguares or Agreas, is a demon, recognized as a duke among their kind and is the 2nd recorded spirit in the sacred Ars Goetia.
Agares is an instructor and linguist of the bitterest kind, teaching all manner of languages and tongues, but primarily only to the extent of their worst curses, slurs and insults, and can destroy the honorable dignities of others through these methods. Additionally, they know how to tether people just as pungently as they belittle them, with the ability to make runaways stop in their tracks or return to their homes. Agares holds conscious power over their elemental attunement, often manipulating geological activity in the Earth to a devestating albeit localized effect. They command a court of around 186,000 demons.

Many say that Agares enjoys guising as any number of genders during their work, but primarily they appear as a disgruntled old man, riding upon a crocodile and holding a hawk, specifically a goshawk, in his hand. It is with their crocodilian steed that they rend the Earth, and it is with their trusted hawk that they carry their inimicable words.

Agares relishes putting people in their place, figuratively and literally, and thus that is what they are most useful for. Their work seems to be led by good intentions, though, as they carry an honesty with their actions and their nature is often compared to that of Vassago, Herald of The Lost and Found. They are attuned with the direction East. Crocodiles and hawks are both sacred to Agares.
