Kris's Review

Have you ever heard of the band The (International) Noise Conspiracy? How about Refused? Well, if you have then you probably know of the lead singer of both of those bands. His name is Dennis Lyxzen. Well, the Lost Patrol is the name of another project of his. This is his solo work. I love Dennis; he is extremely intelligent and extremely talented. The Lost Patrol definitely shows this about him.

This is the second album of The Lost Patrol. The first album is very good, and that is the reason I bought the second album. This one beats out the first one by miles. I may even be bold enough to say that this is my favorite album of all time. This is the most personal album I have ever listened to in my life. I can feel this music. It’s real and it makes sense to me. I love that about music. I try to connect with the music I listen to, and I definitely connect with this one.

I love the entire album and it is difficult to choose my favorite songs, but I will do so. My absolute favorite song on the album is "The Last Goodbye." This song is the most personal one for me on the album. It tells a story, and it’s a sad story. Sadness is sometimes good in music, and it is definitely a good thing with this song. This song is my favorite song at the moment. It’s probably in my top five songs of all time. Another great song is "Alright." This song is so catchy and upbeat. If you hear it, you will find yourself tapping your toes and attempting to sing along with it. It reminds me of a song from the sixties or seventies. The rest of the album is amazing as well, but I can’t tell you about each song.

Definitely give this album a chance. It deserves a chance. I want you to feel this album as I feel it. I wish there was more music like this these days. I don’t want to hear about the money rock stars have, or the people they are having sex with. I want a reality, and I get that with this. "This is as honest as I will ever be." Dennis Lyxzen
