I saw this movie the first day it came out, I went to the 11am showing and I was shocked to see how many people where there for an early viewing on a Friday. Of course I was shoved into a seat and sitting next to me was a woman who decided to allow her arm to dangle into my seat. She also had to make a comment about everything or repeat words that the actors said. So, this was my enviroment while I was watching the movie.
I liked it alot. It was ten times better then Daredevil, but of course it held no candle to Spiderman. The Hulk didn't look real at all, but you have to remember that when he is the hulk he is doing alot of movement. It would be nearly impossible to do all that action and make him look super real. He does, however, interact with objects very well.
The story line starts off a bit to slow introducing characters. But once he becomes the hulk it's very fast paced. All the actors were perfect for their parts. There are a few times when the screen splits up into different frames, showing you several different areas of a room at onces. Such as one showed Betty doing some work through a window, Bruce's angry eyes, and Glen leaving the room. Just like a comic book would, it was awesome work by Ang Lee. Adding to the movie several times over.
Alot of people in the audience didn't like it when the hulk jumped into the air and jumped super far, they thought it was unbelievable. I have only one thing to say to those people, um is a man who gets ticked off and turns green then starts throwing stuff around believable? No, it's all fantasy. I thought it was an great way for the Hulk to get around. He also ran really fast to and was super large, not believable, but again it was fantasy.
However, there is one thing I didn't like about this movie. The music for it was horrible, it didn't go well with a super hero feel. Sometimes it didn't even seem like it matched the movie at all. It was a horrible choice in music. If the music doesn't work well with the movie, it off sets the entire movie. I liked this movie alot, and I will be seeing it again.

I was going into The Hulk with very low expectations. From the preview the hulk looked very CGI, and that kind of think usually ruins the movie for me. However, I was pleasantly suprised when I walked out of the theater. The previews were very deceiving and I thought that most of the time The hulk didn't look even 1/2 as bad as he did in the preview.
I thought the story was very well done, and it took on a very serious nature. I felt that if they had a lot of stupid one-liners, it would have lost the rage that it tries to show. The one thing that I really liked was the cinematography. With very unique and comic book style fade in's and transitions, it gave the movies a very unique feel.
The only thing that i really didn't like about this movie was the music. It didn't fit very well with the whole Hulk theme, and it sounded more like music from a cheesy Anime love story. Other then that however I thought the hulk was very good, and would recommend that everyone give it a chance.

The Hulk tries so hard to prove itself a success that it just ends in dismal failure. There are so many problems with this film that they can’t all be named at one time. The comic book styling of the film with split screens and cuts and wipes was just ridiculous. One does not go to a film adaptation of a comic book character expecting a comic style to it. If one wanted something like that then you could just pick up a comic book and read. A film adaptation is expected to bring a comic book to life rather then just incorporate the comic into film.
The story is also a big problem. Either the actions are going too slowly or too fast. There is no sense consistency at all for the film. Many questions are also left unanswered. Why did Bruce’s father not kill Bruce? He killed his wife but only accidentally. He had the opportunity, why not take it? His father is sent away for 30 years but how does he escape and get back to Bruce? How is he able to work at the lab, even just as a janitor, without them knowing where he is? And what is the deal with him at the end? How is Bruce able to change back from being The Hulk to being normal Bruce? Nothing is cleared up correctly for the audience to clearly understand what is going on. Based on the issue of the special effects, the CGI is moderate. The Hulk seems pretty realistic at night and when he is slightly hidden in shadows but looks absolutely ridiculous in the desert and in broad daylight. The chase scenes are nothing more then an attempt to show off the CGI Hulk. Those scenes do nothing but make the story go around in circles. One doesn’t see a problem with a giant green monster flying through the air?
Ang Lee is a great director with his work on Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon but The Hulk is just a huge mess from beginning to end. Guess not all comic books characters are meant to be brought to the big screen.
