This has been everyone’s dream movie for as long as I can remember. It’s always who would win in a fight, Freddy or Jason? I’ve never seen a Freddy movie and I’ve only seen Friday the 13th and Jason X. I did know the story surrounding the two, and their two forms of mass murder, so it’s not like I’m completely in the dark over everything. Ever since I found out that they were coming out with this movie, I really wanted to see it. The plot sounded really interesting and I thought it would just be a great slasher movie.
Now I should say that I’m not a huge fan of the horror/slasher genre. I prefer movies that make me think, and not ones that just kill characters off every ten minutes. Therefore, I’m going to say that I did not really enjoy this movie. I thought it was cheesy, and was only made to satisfy those fans that have wanted this match-up for years. There are funny parts, but they aren’t really made to be funny. They come out as humorous because they are so badly acted.
I really don’t know what else to tell you. I was very disappointed in this movie because I have read really good reviews. I guess I was expecting a really good horror movie. The movie started out really good. It was all downhill from there.
I don’t recommend this movie. I thought it was cheesy and poorly acted. I also didn’t like the way the blood sort of shoots straight out of the bodies. I don’t think blood really does that. I recommend Jason X more than this movie. At least Jason X has some redeeming moments. Freddy vs. Jason has absolutely nothing redeeming about it. Don’t see it. See anything else.
