Description

Dr. David Gale had a son, and a wife, and a great job at an university. His world is slowly falling apart as his wife keeps leaving him with his son, flying off to another country for unknown reasons. He is framed for rape and looses everything, his job, his wife, and the only thing he lives for, his son. He is then arrested for the murder and rape of a fellow anti-death penalty activist. Years later he is in prison, being interviewed by a reporter, who believes he might be innocent. There are only three days left until he is put to death, it's a race against the clock to save this man's life.

Becca's Review

Saying I loved this movie would be an understatement. This movie was absolutely fantastic. It makes me want to watch it over and over and over agian. After watching it once and a month later it is still something I think about, it is a real thinking movie. Who is doing this to this man? Why are they doing this? But no matter how much you try to figure it out, you will be wrong in the end. Although, the last tid bit I am proud to say I did guess, and out loud to Jeff as my proof of my complete brilliance! The plot, the characters were all fantastic, the acting was unbelievable, and I wasn't bored once. This movie is not an action movie, it's all about using your brain and trying to see what the camera isn't telling you.

Anyone who doesn't like this movie needs to return back to school, and get a larger education past the first grade. Ok, that was a little on the mean side, but what I am trying to say is it's really for those who think and don't just want to watch a mindless movie where things blow up and you go Ooooo and Ahhhhh. It is fanastic like I said before, get it, watch it, love it!

Jeff's Review

Just to start this out, I want to say that I am a huge Kevin Spacey fan, and he was in one of my all time favorite movies (American Beauty). Now to the movie. I like this movie a lot. It had a very compelling story line, and great actors in every part. The time line of this movie was the most strange part, however it also enhances it. By starting when he is in jail, all you know about David Gale (Spacey) is that he raped and murdered a fellow anti-death penatly activist. However, as Gale relays his story to the lucky reporter who gets to do a three day interview, you start to feel compassionate towards him, and you also feel that he is going to die innocent. The way they did this is for a specific reason, and they make us jump to conclusions as the movie goes on, but the end clarifies the story and meaning. The ending to this movie is a complete shocker, and you definately won't be disappointed in this Spacey movie.
