How they met
They met in August 1999. Westlife and Atomic Kitten were both doing a Smash Hits tour. The first time Bryan asked Kerry out she said no because she wasn't attracted to him.
Bryan knew she would say no because the other lads has asked her out and she's said no to them.
There first memories of each other was when Bryan was standing outside a lift, Kerry remembers he had a black polo neck on and had long floppy hair and that she had to look up really high because he's really tall and she's quite little.
Bryan remembers the lift door opening and a girl running out in a bomber jacket and woolly boots. Kerry being as cheeky as ever went up to Bryan and said "Hiya, i'm Kerry from Atomic Kitten. My mate Liz is a big fan of Westlife" She recalls him giving her a weird look!
Their first kiss
About two weeks later, having got to know each other better they shared their first kiss. They were in a hotel talking and Bryan was really listening to what she had to say, and they kissed but then they lost touch.
They met up again in November. Their bands were on tour together again and they started seeing each other as friends. Kerry was single and wasn't really looking for anyone and Bryan was seeing somebody. They went to a party together in Glasgow but Kerry didn't think he's be interested because he was with someone. During the party though Bryan went up to her and said "I really like you", Kerry told him he had a girlfriend so the ball was in his court. Straight after he left the party and finished with his girlfriend.
They shared their first proper kiss on November 27th.
Getting to know each other
Bryan thought she was wild, nuts, a real party animal. He thought she was going to be a dumb blonde but he soon realised how deep, intellectual and funny she was.
Kerry finds it hard to trust people but she trusted Bryan right from the start. She could tell how much he loved her. He'd get to bed at about 2am from filming and have to be up at fivebut he'd walk from his hotel to mine just to see me for two hours. He's arrange a big breakfast for them both. No boyfriend had ever done that for her before.
Falling in Love
Bryan says from the moment he saw her he really liked her. He thought she was gorgeous with big brown eyes. The first time they kissed was when he fell in love with her.
They realised they were meant for each other one night in December. Kerry had broke her coccyx and she was really nervous about seeing the doctor and she was in a lot of pain. Bryan gave her a pair of pyjamas, told her to put them on and helped her into bed. That was the moment they knew they were meant to be together.
Meeting the parents
Bryans parents and Kerry's mum are very different. Bryan was brought up in a normal middle class family whereas Kerrys mum didn't know how to be a mother when she had her. Kerry lived with various foster parents and was put into care when she was 13. Kerry see's this as a good thing now because her and herMmum are very close.
Kerry first met Bryan's parents late December 1999. She had gone to Ireland to celebrate New Year with him. She was really nervous about meeting his parents. She was so in love with Bryan, she didn't want anything to ruin it. When she got there, about 14 people were there, mum, dad, sister, cousins, aunts, uncles.
Bryan loves Kerry's Mum, he says she lives the life of a 20 year old, going clubbing, hanging around with the lads.
The Proposal
Bryan and Kerry were speaking on the phone, Christmas Eve '99. He said he wanted to marry her, she said she wanted to marry him too. He flew over on the 27th December. They drove to Donegal, which is about four hours from Dublin, and eventually pulled up outside Doe Castle. He took her hand and climbed over a fence and asked her if she knew why he'd brought her here. She said no. He told her this was where his Grandad had proposed to his Nana. Bryan got down on one knee, pulled out a ring and asked the all important question. She accepted.
As soon as they got back, Kerry phoned her Mum to tell her but she already knew because Bryan, being the true gentlemen, had phoned earlier to ask her permission.
The Rings The first ring he gave her was too big so they had to have it altered. It's more like a wedding ring and it means more to her than the second one.
Nine months after Bryan first proposed, he asked her again, just to prove that it wasn't a spur of the moment thing. She now wears both rings.
Marriage They hope to have a summer wedding but can't this year because Westlife are on tour. Kerry wants a big white wedding in Ireland, hopefully at the castle where they got engaged.
House Hunting
The pair have been searching for a home and are said to have found one outside Dublin.
Babies
On the 10th January, Kerry and Bryan announced they were expecting their first child on the 5th September. The day before Kerry's 21st Birthday.
