Apperance:
Lomeelian dragons are your typical western-styled critters, but they do have some differances. Lomeelian dragons can be anywhere from 10ft long to 50 or 60ft long at adult size. They can sport both dragonic-wings, feathered wings, and the occasional insect-type wings, or even none at all! The most common is dragonic wings, of course.
Lomeelian dragons usually have some sort of horns or spikes on thier bodies, the most common is two horns at the back of the head and a tail spike, but it's not unusual to find a ridge of spikes down the spine, on the nose, cheek-bones, chin, elbows, around the neck, around the eyes, and on the forehead. Other spike-places have been known to occur, but are usually very rare. It is possible for a dragon to not have *any* spikes as well.
Lomeelian dragons can also have leg, head, or tail mutations, giving them multiple sets of each. The highest number of heads found on a dragon in Lomeelas was six, and that was only one case and, if the dragon has a head mutation, it very rarely exceeds three. In the case of tails, mutatated dragons can have up to ten, but it is unusual to have any more than two.
Dragon leg-types are an...interesting case. Dragons are usually quadrapedal(walking on four legs) and it is extremly rare, but not exactly impossible, to find a bipedal dragon. Dragons can also sport only two-legs as well, but these dragons *always* have wings. Dragons with only hind-legs usually have dragonic wings, sometimes feathered, but never insect, and dragons with only forelegs usually have insect wings, sometimes feathered, and rarely dragonic. Dragons can also have *more* legs than usual, never exceeding twenty though. There has also been one or two cases of centaur-dragons as well, but these are extremly rare and only happen due to exremly mutated genes.
Lomeelian dragons have diamond-hard scales, which are incredably hard to penetrate. It's not impossible though. ]
Young dragons have very small wings and usually no horns/spikes untill they get older.
Abilities:
Lomeelian dragons are capable of speech at an early age. They are one of the most powerful creatures in lomeelas, and usually have the ability to speak all languages, including the four "intelligent" languages, and feral(animal)languages. Most dragons can also speak telepathically.
Lomeelian dragons are not capable of breathing fire, it is quite literally impossible to do without burning your insides out, so they just...well...don't have the right stuff to do it.
Dragon hide is extremly durable, and hard to penetrate. It's rockhard, but oddley flexable. It's very useful in the making of armour and the such, as dragon scales are quite light once taken off the dragon.
All dragons with functional wings are capable of flight.
Lomeelian dragons are elemantal(even though there have been a few cases of non-elementals, Fatith included) but unlike mages they have a wider range of elements. Elements often effect the colouration of a dragon, but rarely the personality.
Fire - These dragons *can* breath fire, and are the only type of dragon to do it. They are also able to manipulate fire and control it. Dragons with flexable fore-hands are also able to conjure fire. These dragons can be of any size, and usually sport dragonic wings. They can be red, orange, yellow, black, blue, or white in color.
Water - These dragons have the ability to summon and manipulate water. They can cause it to rain, storm, hail, or snow. They have the ability to freeze water, melt ice, or solidify steam. They are usually medium sized. Water dragons are excellent swimmers and usually do not sport any wings. They often have fins instead of spikes/horns and webbed toes. These dragons can be blue, green, purple, white, or black in color.
Earth - These dragons have the ability to make plants grow, can conjure seeds, and they can manipulate plants, stones, and the ground. Earth dragons can create earthquakes. These dragons are usually large and rarely have wings, and are usually brown, green, or grey in color.
Air - Air dragons have the ability to manipulate air. They can cause anything from a soft breeze to a violent hurricane. They also have the ability to make it storm. The can create thunder and lightning as well. These dragons are usually small and have very large wings of either the dragonic or feathered variaty.
Light - Light dragons have the ability to create and manipulate light. They can over power shadows, and easily blind opponents. Powerful light dragons also have the ability to manipulate the time of day, and how bright out it is. Light dragons also have been known to be able to force evil-doers to turn away from thier ways and "see the light". Light dragons are usually large and can have any type of wing, but feathered and dragonic are most common.
Darkness - Darkness dragons have the ability to create and manipulare darkness and shadows. They can overpower light, and very easily shroud a person vision in darkness, sometimes causing permanent blindness. Powerful dark dragons have also have the ability to manipulate the time of day and how dark out it is. Darkness dragons have also been known to be able to corrupt those of the good-alignment. Darkness dragons are usually large and can have any type of wing, but dragonic and feathered are the most common.
