Bob has two, $10,000 snowmobiles on a $4,000 trailer, being towed by his $65,000 pickup truck. He races up a dark highway in the left lane doing about 30 over the posted limit, and probably getting about 3 mpg.
He finally gets to the trail, and puts on his $600 leather snowmobile suit with the brand logos plastered all over it. His $300 heated helmet has a built-in radio so he can talk to his idiot friends on the trail.
Bob and his buddies race around the trails all day, generally being ass's to the other users. After eating dinner and consuming a quantity of alcohol, Bob gets ready to go home.
After loading up the machines, someone points out that none of his trailer lights will work. "Oh well, It was like that when I came up, They can see the tail lights on my truck anyway".
Bob is just like a lot of other people that pull small trailers with their cars, Suv's or pickups.
They don't get it. The lights have to work! Period!
I see this all the time. Idiots, racing up the highway, and some "normal" people, with or without trailer lights. If you call the police to report it, they give you the standard "We'll put a broadcast out Sir", and put it on the back burner. Even if you give them plate numbers and a location. It's not that important to them.
But, if a big truck has no lights on the trailer, and someone calls it in, they're all over it like "White on Rice".
What's wrong with this picture?
