| This was my 1985 Trans Am. When I purchased the car someone had already installed a set of GTA badges and 16" GTA wheels. It had a very mild 350 with a stock exhaust and muffler. On the G-tech it ran a 15.36 @ 92 mph. Now it has a 385 ci small block stroker motor and a new TCI 700R4 transmission with a 3.27 rear gear. I installed the engine during December 2001. The initial test drive was on Jan. 3, 2002. The engine has some ported factory 041 casting heads with 2.02/1.60 SS valves. It has a Comp Cams Extreme Energy 274 Hyd. Cam. It breathes through a 750 Holley and an Edelbrock Performer RPM Intake Manifold. I also installed a 10" TCI StreetFighter torque converter behind the new engine. Before I sold it, I removed the factory tan interior and replaced it with a gray 1990 model Tran Am interior. |
