Pomeranian puppies go through a stage around 3-4 months old where they shed their puppy coats. Most breeds go through this stage at some point as well and it is commonly called
"the uglies'. They usually will start getting their adult coat in around 6 - 7 months. The Pomeranian hair coat should be heavy and "double" with a short, soft, dense undercoat that makes the longer, coarser outer coat stand out.

I am keeping two Pomeranian puppies that have gone through this process and am taking pictures periodically to show how they look throughout their first year.
