| Please Understand As a teenager you don�t know who "that one person" is for you And believe me this is true. Some fall deeply in love and think its forever But that "forever" ends, And it takes awhile for your heart to mend. If you�re in love you tend to ignore the obvious, You don�t want to listen to what others say, And others tend to only see what they want. They are only looking out for you And that is so true... But most of the time they don�t realize, That they hurt you too. You can be seventeen, And they still wont let you be. Stronger then what they think. I don�t tend to let love control me, I don�t tend to let it play with my mind. I will be fine... You wont make me think twice I don�t have to be precise. So please understand... I've got a man, You don�t need to keep telling me how much better I can do Because I think you forgot, what it was like to be my age. You should know us teenagers go through phases. Needing to live and learn, Not be dictated to, And reminded everyday, That no matter how much you try, That guy may not be worth it. Mum taught me well, And even though she may not be there Her words are drilled into my head. So now it�s all said So please understand I've got a man And I'm really happy!
