| 6 Assumed Dead After Apartment Blaze By: Christina Sears CHS News The Oasis Apartment building blaze is assumed to claim the life of six individuals three in which are children. According to Hamilton�s Fire Chief, Chris Craveiro, The break out was caused by an electrical problem within a room on the 4th floor of the Oasis. Damage range at an estimate of hundredths of thousands of dollars. Christina Sears, a mother of two, smelled smoke that night in her 4th floor apartment. She saw smoke seeping through the cracks of her door and right away alerted 911 officials. Gilberto Contro, the Landlord for the Oasis was responsible for making sure his superintended checked all the fire alarms, and also to make sure the apartments electrical wiring was up to date and safe. According to Cassalena Harrison, The Chief Of Police, Gilberto may be charged because the deaths of the six people could have been prevented. BLAZE: continued on PG A5 |
