| As the story goes, our hero, Baba Ganoush, was lead astray by the lies of Hubert. Telling of a magical Monkey hidden in a cave beyond the east woods, Baba makes his way into the troublesome marshes surrounding the forest, hoping the Monkey can give him information on the worlds perfect grape. However, once he emerges, it is discovered that Baba has lost his goulashes in the muck. He treks through the forest, unknowing of the danger that lay within. He decides that he must find the Wiseman to help him get new shoes to continue his quest for the perfect grape. As Baba wanders along a winding forest trail, he hears a noise which startles him. Ignoring it, he moves on. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Unbeknownst to Baba, it turns out that the noise he heard was none other than Hubert himself! The old man seems to be up to his old tricks as he takes the opportunity to follow Baba. Though Hubert manages to track good Baba through the forest for a short distance, he soon falls and is left far behind. Meanwhile, Baba finds a cozy little cave at the bottom of a deep ravine. He decides to lay down for a cozy nap. As he sleeps, a new threat appears in the form of the nameless hunter named Bob. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Bob chased Baba over hill and dale. Baba attempted escape by climbing the steepest hills, crossing the deepest rivers and swinging from vines like he saw in the movies. However, Bob would not be left behind so easily. When it seemed all was lost, Baba collapsed into a small cluster of trees where Bob closed in. Taking a moment to savor the occasion before he made his kill, the Wiseman suddenly appeared between Bob and Baba Ganoush! The Wiseman related to Bob that the Princess of the Forest would not approve of his bloodlust. Bob then made the terrible mistake of asking if he could mount the Princess on his wall as well. The Wiseman then chased Bob away using his powers of magic! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Baba greeted the Wiseman and both talked for some time. Baba complained how the forest floor had cut his prized grape-squashing feet. The Wiseman created some sneakers for him to wear, much to Baba's delight. The Wiseman then related to Baba terrible news! Hubert, his brother, had lied to Baba about the Magical Monkey and now Baba was trapped in the forest, which turned out to be enchanted! He told Ganoush that the Princess of the Forest would not like his prescence and warned him of her dreadful ways before he disappeared, leaving Baba alone again...but not for long! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
